I appreciate the t-wave nerf in Gen VII after the para buff, but I don’t think it should miss if an electric type uses it, in the same way toxic doesn’t if a poison type uses it
People debate on it alot And for me having poison type have that effect is the best for competitive since toxic doesn't hinder your offensive capability While para and burn does, i guess that's why only poison type have that upper hand
The para buff (alongside the prankster buff) was mostly to keep Thundurus in check, as it was way too strong in VGC and centralized the meta game around it completely
It's funny when people say, "It's just luck," when there's a lot of luck in Pokemon. Chances of moves hitting, chances of secondary effects activating, chances of status (getting fully paralyzed, staying frozen, hitting itself in confusion,), etc.
I honestly don't think it's better than Recover. Smart players might predict it and use earthquake. I used to play with a couple of mons using it and it was really satisfying when it worked.

Hazards already broken as fuck dude, to the point heavy duty boots had to be created to deal with it, and mons viability were determined by how weak they were to rocks Defog and spin are the only things keeping hazards in check

Who uses recover when you can literally roost? If a flying type uses it, it removed the flying type from it on that turn to delete weaknesses.

All the first guy had to do was sacrifice one mon for the blissey to live and stall out thundurus

If something doesnt have direct counter then it is OP.Everyone will start running hazards and you cant do anything with them

In this case Sared Fire is like 50 percent chance to burn but thunderwave is only inflicting status.
