Really enjoyed this course. Nice balance between speed and accuracy.
I agree! It really made the rider think about where they need to go and woah.
I agree I love watching these
@@Sasha-mn4qk yeah!
I am about 6 riders in and so far, the Irish team was the best in my humble opinion. That gorgeous horse made jumping those high fences look effortless....like a dance.

I know right.
First guy really pulled up with the sunglasses and spotless white breeches on like yeah guys just another Monday morning
18:56 if anyone saw that on the water jump, i think that horse really injured his hind right hoof he carried it differently throughout the course after that (edit: sorry i just felt the need to comment on that lol)
Yea i do see that, he probably got wrong footing comeing over it or something
Good catch, hope the horse is ok now! (Granted it has been a year)
Thank you for putting this up!
That Nordwind horse was beautiful I was sad to see them hit the water
big props to olivier robert,, beautiful round and no bit 🙏

I love watching these talent rider and horses working together ❤

I fall asleep watching this it is so calming💤😴😊
the first rider and horse are amaing they are a great team and the hore is just amazing Good work all riders
17:20 horse looks very uncomfortable, the bit is hurting him.
hmm, agree. a particularly strong bit. i believe it may be because the horse appears to be crossing its jaw for the majority of the course. harsher bit unfortunately equals more control for the rider🤷♀️
@@emb8144 You shouldnt need control. You need trust.
@@wolfiecorn1588 To a degree. I can ride my Arab tackless on the trails, but I still like using a bridle when I Jump because he likes to get a little excitable, and that's not a bad thing! He can get a little mouthy on the bit, but he typically is on loose rein unless I'm holding him collected so we can get striding right. It all depends on the horse and situation.

Uhm am I blind or did Simon Delestre have no fences down? Like why did he have four penalty points?
maybe because of time? idk
His horse probably touched the water
ik it doesn’t make since... it’s not time and the penalty was after the water so idk🤷♀️🤷♀️
It was the water. You can see the ripples as he's cantering away from it. Water penalties usually take a moment to show up because they're waiting for the fence judge to confirm.
His horse landed in the water
I’m showjumping tomorrow!
Second round starts 1:36:15
Amaral needed to lay off on the bit
Why did Simon Deleste drop? The announcer didn't say and I can't find the answer online.
ALSO why was Raisch eliminated?
Amazing job
I am sorry but why do some of these riders pull so much on the reins?
Unfortunately some of them are very rough :( It really isn't necessary! But it can be easy to lose control over such a giant fence.
i do agree its a bit extreme but these horses are extremely strong and will pull the rider to the fence so they have to keep them under control which isn't easy
It can be easy to loose control of the horse especially when jumping at this height. Sometimes I find it a bit unnecessary, you need your horse to find the correct stride or else you’ll have a fence down.
theres just ymca playing in the background... 25:23
The third horse seemed to be relying a lot on their upper body to get over the jumps. He seemed to throw himself up and hope to make it over. just me?
It’s not just you! I noticed something weird too. I agree he kinda just throws himself over!
@@Sasha-mn4qk exactly! Like the horse kind goes up on to legs and uses its upper body to throw itself over without any help from the back legs
They really should work on it because I can imagine it would start to hurt eventually!

PAUL SHOKOHMOLE OFFICIAL
I just started watching this but I realized that the first horse mouth is filled with like foam something is wrong with the bit because I do horse racing horse, jumping and everything I have my own barn and stable I know all about farm, animals especially horse's.
It is absolutely normal for a horse to have foam in their mouth when doing exercise. This is often considered a positive physical trait because it indicates the horse is relaxed and being ridden correctly. If a horse is tense or has bad posture, their mouth dries out. Nothing is wrong, in fact, everything is right. This is usually a concern that people have if they are inexperienced with horses or do not know a lot about them. Please do not say you know all about horses if you do not. Educate yourself first.
@@kennedyalex4523 foaming at the mouth could show that the horse is accepting the bit, by chewing it and creating such foam and saliva. I do cc and my mare foams every time we use bits. (However I prefer not to use them, so it’s not often)
@@kennedyalex4523 ive seen quite a few horses foam with bitless bridles/halters before tbh, it really depends on the horse, ive seen some do it as a positive reaction and others do it when they are uncomfortable but it really does depend
Eu nem sabia que o Brasil fazia esse tipo de coisa 🤡🤡

The Texting on the side is Horrible!!! Totally taking the view of the full ride!! I would of loved to watched this to the end but the texting was so annoying can't enjoy the show! 😢😡
Using horses for any form of competition is NOT OKAY.
Animals are in many forms of competition. Pageants, sports, athletics, teamwork. There are those who aren’t “using” them, instead working with them. My horse isn’t Grand Prix he’s a Grand Meter Prix horse lol. He loves his job, I love him. His ears shoot up looking at the jump, he will knicker and neigh at other horses in joy as he tries to speed and take control in the arena, my baby may be old and an “animal”, but that is my teammate. These horses are athletes too, hence they are treated as such. Any sport is dangerous, would you prefer them be sent to a k***house rather than an arena where they are cared for and trained?
They are athletes as well, but they are still treated like the animals they are. They rarely jump the height they do in competition and have work that challenges their mind more than their body. They still get turnout, and often after shows like such they get breaks for weeks and even 1+ months. They are treated their weights worth in gold and if they were being abused you could tell. They’re not being used, they are being worked with. They would make it much more obvious if they were in pain or didn’t like their job.
I refuse to believe all these horse have been properly cleared I woke up to see my RUclips auto playing this video it makes me sick I gave them a single view y’all should be ashamed of ur self FEI how many more horses have to die for u to do ur job (not all of these horsies look bad not all of the riders are bad I’m just sad because we could be doing so much more for the horse no hate to riders just FEI and there corrupted system )
I agree. Some of the equestrian world is discusting, (pardon my bad spelling) for example some big lick. However, these horses are extremely strong and the riders do have to be rough in order to handle their horses. I doubt they are abused, but what some horse have dealt with is so sad. 😢
'. .
Why are the horses mouths foaming? Why are the horses mouths zip-tied closed? Shameful.
mouths are usually foaming just cause the horse gets sweaty, and when we’re the mouths EVER zip-tied? please give me a time stamp
The “zip tie” is called a flash nose band. It doesn’t cause harm unless it’s extremely tight or there’s a few other circumstances where it could be. I didn’t really notice it being too tight though
@@Sasha-mn4qk Thank you for providing the name of the device. The flash nose band forces the horses mouth shut. The horse is foaming at the mouth because the horse can not breath naturally but is expected to perform nonetheless. Whew! I have seen this in horse jumping competitions. It is shocking to see no objection. So I stopped watching. The rider can't have a strong connection with his/her partner (a horse) if the riders are willing to subject their horse to torture in order to compete. In one way, the flash nose band is pleasing on the eye of the spectator however the foaming mouth demonstrates inferior husbandry. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with me.
@@EsteleenW Flash nose bands aren’t always harmful! I don’t think they’re always necessary, but usually they pair well with certain bits. The horse I ride at my barn will sometimes foam. I typically ride her in a gentle snaffle with loose reins to build leg muscles. She gets pretty fired up sometimes. They sometimes foam out of discomfort, but most of the time it’s excitement.
@@EsteleenW sometimes horses foam at the mouth when they are accepting the bit.. flash nose bands aren’t cruel if used correctly.

Why is there only guys riding shouldn't there be girls riding to
There were women riding???
Stephanie Booth more men qualified then woman
There are some women riding too.
It's actually funny there are more girls riding but when u go to the higher classes like that one it's most of the time only boys
It’s nothing to do with gender it’s pure ability. More men qualified than woman oh well. They wouldn’t go out of their way to select a man over a woman just because it’s a woman. In this case, more men seemed to be better 🤷🏻♀️
Using horses for any form of competition is NOT OKAY.
Some competitions such as horse racing and big lick can be abusive, but if trained and dealt with properly, I don't believe there are any problems.
