The BMW just needs about 5k more revs, instead of revving it like it's taching out at like 8krpm instead of the 14k+!!! It's just me ,but I loved the pre cross plane R1's with 20 valves.. Too each his own , I just love the high RPM shrill of the flat plane crank, Just like the cross-plane v8 vs a flat-plane V8 sounds better to me.. I like the sound of both, but just prefer the high RPM shrill that a flat-plane makes over a cross-plane , Look at the new Corvette ZO6 flat-plane vs the stock LS C8, Would take the ZO6 all day long..
They did the r1 literally perfect. It looks so aggressive and sharp, kind of like the r6 design always thought the rear end on the r6 was way ahead of its time still looks good today, not to mention the angel cat eye headlights, even they look timeless on the r6.
@shaunsnyman5107 what do you mean it's not a car, you do understand there are mixed air/fuel ratios right? You can mess with the ecu a ton and change the pipes/valves accordingly as well. The cross-p will always have that low end growl but pops and bangs can be placed similarity on any liter bike
