Yes sir it worked great. That is an actual saw made just for cutting metal. Might could put a metal blade on regulars skill saw but the shavings would make a mess. But it definitely works good.
@@robertjesse1022 LOL I had it made by my local sign guy. It’s just a banner. It’s to remind employees to pay attention to seams when we’re building handrails. Or anything for that matter because seams are fugly.
Cordless version???? I didn’t know that existed but would absolutely love to try one. I hate cords with a passion but sometimes battery stuff just doesn’t keep up in my opinion. Let me know if you get one and how it works out. Thanks for watching
Was thinking of getting one to primarily cut bar grating. now that you have used it more, is not economical to cut grating with how rapid it dulls the blade?
They will definitely cut bar grating but from our experience the blades dull quick. I don’t have any exact numbers on how many cuts or feet you can cut per blade. But from what we’ve used a demo saw or this metal skip saw are by far the best 2 options. Just the cost of doing business.
@@MattcoMetalWorks We have had a Stihl Demo saw for about 4 years but nobody in the shop wants to use it. Everyone wants to use cutoff wheel on an angle grinder. To me that's not the answer. So you still use the metal saw for grating of just use the demo saw? What blade do you use when you use the Demo saw. We may need to try something different.
@@OeEspo so most of the time now we use the large demo saw. We use abrasive blades from lowes or home depot. Much quicker that cut off wheels on grinders. We’ve been down that road also.
B Decking? I always called this Form Decking. But never thought of cutting it with a skill saw, thanks for the tip.

@@MattcoMetalWorks got a question for ya, where did you get the "Seam Lives Matter" sign?

Have you used the cordless version of this saw? Thinking about getting one for cutting B Decking
