I completely agree (again... :-) ). A dancing Panda Bear can get 35 Mio. views, but a video that teaches in a VERY clear way how to use machines and software to mill parts that in the end enable us to watch a dancing panda bear get only a few...
@@GridSpace Thanks, but actually the exported file in 2.4 was blank. I'm working with 2.3 now and test-ran the code through Candle. The spindle didn't engage though, and I'm looking into this now. PS: To view animation of the slice, the only way is to import the exported file, right? I guess animation is still being worked on in 2.4.
@@anonymouse527 not all settings carry over from 2.3 to 2.4, so you may need to re-enable some things when switching. also, if you do find a bug, please use profile export (top right) and check "include workspace" then email the resulting .km file to sa@grid.space ... animation is only available in preview mode when stock is set. In order to add spindle commands, you need to clone the device, set a max spindle speed, and then make sure the device gcode fragment for "spindle speed" has the correct gcode. any occurrence of {speed} will be substituted when the gcode output is generated.
@@GridSpace Nice, the animation works! I did what you suggested. Cloned the device, set max spindle 10000. Still no go. Then under gcode/spindle added "S1000". Removed tool change line "M6 T1" (it gave me an error in Candle). I also set max 10000 in Candle settings. The spindle works manually but doesn't spin when I run the code. I can email you the .km I'm also trying to add tabs to no avail. It may be a user error though, I'll keep trying.
Thanks, Brandon. I make videos as time permits. Let me know if there are specific features you would like to see demo'd or how to solve for specific geometries.
@@GridSpace Wow, that's a great commitment. Thank you. Website is graphically gorgeous too. Normally free softwares look like they are from the time of the first PC. Yours look great
Amazing! This project deserves more visibility !
Thanks a lot!

Powerful Kiri:Moto is. I have got to try this CAM.
I just put together a CNC machine kit and was looking for something to teach me how to use CAM slicers. This was perfect. Thanks!
Very welcome! Check out the new features in the 2.4 development version. You can select 2.4 under the profile menu (top right person/gear)

thank you very much for this demo!
I'm looking forward to that next video of double sided parts ;)
Amazing - excited to try this on my CNC.
Such a great summary, thanks!
Nice work! Thank you
Glad you liked it!
thanks for the demo. and damn you look and sound like dr wells on the flash

@@GridSpace are you able to make a complete now how too. 2.6 is soo different i'm trying to pocket and do a finishing pass but can't fine it.
It's on the TODO list. If you hop on the Discord server, I can walk you through your current use case.
@@GridSpace I just got accepted on the Facebook group under a different name
every time I try to export an object from CAM it disappears
if you could right-click export your workspace and email it to me (sa at grid.space) i'll take a look and see what's up. thanks
Thank you. Is kiri Moto free?
100% free and open source on github

Can this be used for 3D printing?
Kiri:Moto also has a 3D printing mode and a laser cutter mode
@@GridSpace sweet, thanks!
