    In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ruclips.net/user/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

    Nice review!
    I own a 19 and agree with your evaluation and I've even learned a couple things I didn't know (auto on Garmin for example).
    My only issues so far is from the same exact trailer. No issues with my trailer lights, but a lot of loose bolts and one missing. I was warned by my dealer to always check the four bolts holding on the plastic tire guards on, but I lost the entire bracket on my passenger side. Luckily no damage to the ski or tire as I as over an hour from home and doing about 60mph on the highway.
    For me I wish the Garmin was on the left side. Why? It's on the same side as the throttle. Going down the river and wanting to zoom in or out... or anything else, I have to reach over with my left hand or let off the throttle to use my right hand. Both of which are annoying.
    Overall the ski is awesome and I love the new features on the 2021. My front Linq supports arrive next week and they'll be installed. Having a cup holder this summer is going to be wonderful. Too bad the IDF is not upgradable that I'm aware of. So far once I've had an issue where that would have saved me a headache. You can't always get to what's jammed from the water or shore. I had to get it on the trailer and crawl under mine.

One little cheat I do is go on navionics and write down coordinates you want and then manually enter them on the garmin. I have 90 hrs on mine and just did the carbon seal. It was totally shot. Id recommend checking inside the hull every 10 hrs or so to make sure everything has been water tight.

    Good video man, I appreciate the time you put into this review. I have been kicking the idea around of getting one of these. I am in the same category as you, never been on a jetski in my life yet so if I get one, I will be a complete newbie. I'll adapt quickly though. Debating between this or a small boat. Small boat would be nice because I could take the wife and the dog. However, I suspect that 98% of the time I will be going by myself so I could probably get the Fish Pro and be enjoying it even more than a boat. I also think I would feel more secure on the Seadoo Fish Pro in open water, off shore than in a small boat.
    After seeing your chart plotter I was wondering if you are in the Tampa area? I live up in Weeki Wachee, FL. near Springhill and Brooksville. I subscribed and I look forward to seeing more of your content with the Seadoo and your catches. Stay safe my friend and tight lines.

      Once you get experienced the PWC is definitely more confidence inspiring in rougher water than a small boat. it’s also less of a hassle to get up and get on the water than with a boat, but if you want to have the wife and dog you won’t regret the boat

    Interesting info, a big reason I went with the GTX 300 is i'm a little DIY kinda guy and your video as well as many other's led me to get the bigger engine/faster and just add the things but instead of the 63 echo map I got the 73 so I put on a rear transducer that I installed with help from ... again other's videos, and the only thing I don't have is that extra 16" rear deck, I think there 's a major market out there for anyone who wants to upgrade diff models to match others but keeping the best parts from others, without getting the LImited and the new color screen that integrates with GPS map I instead have twice as large touch screen. One of the things that was really awesome was how well your's and other's videos show the up and downsides to different models, I wouldn't have come up with all the mods and upgrades without that info. For what seadoo charges I bought the Garmin/Transducer and the official sea doo parts from the Sea Doo after market co in Florida and installed it for only $800 I think? vs the $900 for an older model and not including labor and not losing the depth finder vs the inboard transducer, so with the spare cash I also got the depth finder as well

      That’s awesome I’m glad my video helped. The GTX is a beast of a machine. 55mph is fast enough for me and the range it has for the fish pro is what leaned me toward it. I’m crazy I’m going like 30-45 miles out sometimes on one tank and such. Now true I wish it had a touch screen sonar and a belly mount for side view. But nice setup you have there. How shallow can this get is it any good in flats

    • @WhiskerWarsTV
      @WhiskerWarsTV  3 года назад

      - Word of caution - Do not recommend but this is how shallow I’ve gone with no issues with impeller. About 1.8 to 2 feet anchored. Now operating less than 3 feet is against seadoo recommendations so when going shallow I idle at 1-2 mph not to suck anything up. If in doubt shut it off and drift until you can anchor. But again warning she will float and get you there but conditions all apply . A windy day I wouldn’t try it because you may be tempted to use throttle .

      If you get everything the sound system, IBR, the whole package, plus an aluminum trailer it would be something like 19-21 out the door depending on where you live. Steel is cheaper but its heavier, think if you load in saltwater, but it is great for traveling long distances.

    how was it in relation to taxing your body ? your back ?

    • @WhiskerWarsTV
      @WhiskerWarsTV  3 года назад +1

      Now I am not a fit guy so here’s my take. Sitting and fishing in different positions. It’s not too bad. You can lay down on the seat too. Interesting feeling. You can rock your hips to the waves . You stop noticing that quickly. Remember to stand after a while your butt might get numb. As for riding in chop, lift up off the seat for bigger waves or you will be pounded. After the day is done you will of felt like had a full body work out and the same the next day or so but as you do it the more you get used to it. I hope this helps
