Meh, not really. Speech is quite restricted in the UK, compared the USA. China does what the UK does, it has freedom of speech, except for what the government does not want you to say. Once you start arresting comedians, then I would say freedom of speech is over for that nation.

Don’t agree that she was evil, but certainly cold and emotionally remote perhaps and no feeling for the average person. She had very strong principles and believed in a strong resurgent UK (read Moore’s bio). True that the Falklands should never have happened, but having succeeded Britain’s international reputation was enhanced. My abiding memories are of a broken Britain throughout the 1970’s and a largely recovered Britain by 1990, with full employment.

She risked the reputation of Britain? What?
She took back British territory, that was wrongfully invaded by the Argentinians... NOT taking it back would've done worse for Britains reputation than trying to and failing.
She had absolute confidence in the British forces, rightfully so, and who's to say it was "In order to save her political future"? It may have saved her political future, but you have no way of conclusively knowing that was the REASON she went to war.

So Daddy Yankee caused the British victory? Put aside the fact that British soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen travelled 7000 nautical miles, landed half as many men as the Argentine garrison and yet won the war. Let's focus on the fact that the Argentine government got some from Daddy Yankee as well. How did they use that assistance? They built a brutal dictatorship that killed tens of thousands of it's own citizens. They built an armed forces that was good only at torturing and killing their own. And that's why Argentina lost, because fighting a war was never part of their army's or navy's mission.
