    Very nice!! I would like to know, the way you harvested the lettuce, will it grow back for another harvest?

    • @tannerfarmstead
      @tannerfarmstead  2 года назад +4

      So with these romaine lettuces I harvested them completely at the base of the stem. Certain lettuces tho you can cut off the top section of the plant and it will grow back. They call those “cut and come again” varieties. Some lettuces you can just harvest the more mature leaves and let them keep growing new leaves. But don’t harvest all the leaves off a lettuce plant or it will stunt it. The plant still needs some leaves for photosynthesis

    How do you prep lacinto/dinosaur kale?

    • @tannerfarmstead
      @tannerfarmstead  Год назад

      Our process is a bit different now. We grow kale in the greenhouse so we don’t wash it because it’s super clean

    I liked everything about the video but I wanted to let you know that the volume of the in between music is a bit startling, its very loud in comparison to the talking parts

      Yea this was one of my early videos and my video editing wasn’t the best at the time. Sorry about that

    ….and all the while I’ve been thinking a little moisture/water was good for stored lettuce.

    • @tannerfarmstead
      @tannerfarmstead  2 года назад +1

      Well some moisture is good but I’ve found keeping things on the dryer side has kept greens the longest vs allowing moisture to build up

    Um you WASTED lettuce! CUT THE LEAVES OFF WITH SCISSORS it’ll GROW BACK for more harvest. Leave stem in ground, but don’t cut at the solid! It’ll grow back lol

    • @tannerfarmstead
      @tannerfarmstead  6 месяцев назад

      lol very true. I find second cut to not be near as good tho
