I grew up on Seaview Ave from the early 80's til about 2000 and I honestly appreciate finally being able to see Pleasure Beach in it's glory days. God Bless you that was a treat
Was a child in Bpt in the '50s and got to ride the rollercoaster at Pleasure Beach, and the merry-go-round. Took part in the Wing-Ding parades as a child. Got to see BPT when the giant factories were still working, and downtown was bustling. Loved the movie. Thanks.
My dad is a 1949 Bassick HS Grad. Both my mom and dad grew up in Bridgeport and would always tell me how amazing it was growing up there. My mom was from the south end right by Seaside. I was not born until 1965 so I missed all of this magic as it was passed down to me.
thank you ARYLAND. THANK YOU. SO MANY MEMORIES FOR US OLDIES. GREAT!! At the 25:25 mark, the man standing to the left of the guy with the cowboy hat was Bridgeports' only elected Socialist Mayor Jasper McLevy.
I wished the camera men back then in Bpt would had drove around & record the city , drove through the neighborhoods , the parks & most streets , interview the residence, interview kids & teachers at schools & also city officials instead of just focusing & taking pictures & recording one main area such as downtown main st , Fairfield ave , & park ave “ Barnum festival parade,”..but hey that’s just Bridgeport for ya with really not much to look at

Ahhhh. My family home was in the greater Bridgeport area since 1961. This brings back some really great memories of the past. Thanks for posting.
