In his interview with Knox Hill, REN said that he got a call from his friends Mom at 3am saying that his friend had called and was saying his goodbyes to everyone. REN got dressed and ran out to go look for him. He said he got to the bridge a couple of minutes after his friend's phone went to "no service." I can't imagine.
The bridge in the background is where Joe jumped from, unfortunately he's never been found 😢😢😢 It must be so hard for Ren, seeing the bridge, the river etc 💔

It's a testament to their connection and the trust they have in each other as artists. Am I reading too much into it? Maybe - but my eyes well up whenever they sing together.
Chinchilla is amazing! She is a true artist in her own right, and her and Ren's chemistry is off the charts. They refer to each other as musical siblings. Like Ren she also bends genres and is very experimental in her solo work. Chalk Outlines Live is definitely one to check out featuring them both.

The second "Oh I can't breathe" harmony they're both letting so much pain out that doesn't really come across on the recorded (not live) version.. and at the end if you look close Ren has tears running down his face. Im obsessed with Ren reactions, and you're my favorite. I've watched countless videos, and I appreciate yours the most. I love the minimal pausing. When reactors pause to talk every 5 seconds, they miss things, and lose the meaning and flow of his music. I understand there are copyright issues, but most go overboard. You just let it soak in, and add thoughts mostly at the end. I also cackled at the response to chat in the Jenny and Screech video, where you said something like "We're watching a beautiful art piece, and y'all mfers are talking about Teen Wolf in chat". I came to this song the other way around and only recently heard the studio version. While I like the live better, hearing the studio version made me appreciate it so much more. This song speaks straight into sadness. Even more than the studio version. Every time I hear it I can feel my heart breaking and thoughts of my little brother who died of an overdose come flooding back. It has been 20 years since he died - but still I can feel the sadness and the loss as it was now. There I can "forget how to be me" Its okay. Even though he is dead, he is still loved. It's the oldest song on his page, and is from 11 years ago. It's amazing. But even harder to watch than this. He could barely get through the introduction. Ren is so amazing.
