agnostic here. grew up in a secular country. met a muslim girl some months ago at work. she fell for me hard, i fell for her back. neither one of us have ever had this kind of connection with another person before. we both knew we couldnt go into an actual relationship unless i was also a muslim, so she gave me some resources to check out, and since then i've have been looking into islam. as long as im not a muslim, its like a prison visit where were both on our own sides of the window, only speaking through a phone, without being able to get close in any way. the passion of speakers like mohamed is pretty infectious. people like muhammad ali and khabib nurmagomedov are inspiring. theres a strength they posess which seems to come directly from their faith in allah - true strength, confidence, willpower, discipline, and PEACE. knowing fully they cannot be defeated. weird how im feeling the pull. is this my path? is this what people are talking about when they said their names were called by the lord? are my eyes being opened or shut? so many questions that nobody can answer. but something tells me there may be answers to be found in this religion. anyone else who was in this situation? i cant tell if im interested because of islam itself or because she is a muslim. im so doubtful about my own thoughts. i would only choose islam if it was truly my path and my path alone, as that seems most honest and true; but what if SHE was part of my path? would that still be considered doing it for myself? i dont know what to think! please, any advice or ideas, whether positive or negative, shoot them my way.

I use to always question Allah on my life as suffer from epilepsy, depression and anxiety. And when I was born I suffered from meningitis and was in a coma for three months then it turned into Epilepsy . And the right side of my body is weak and I have to take medication all my life because of my siezures. And I was so depressed and anxious about myself and life and use to compare myself to the women my age. Until I got up and started praying and listening to the quran and knowing the meaning of life and the quran and knowing that this life is just a test. And our real life is going to be heaven or hell.

Each time a sick person uses it you gain. 3) Participate in building a masjid. 4) Place a watercooler in a public space. 5) Plant a tree. You gain whenever a person or an animal sits in it's shade or eats from it. 6) And the easiest of all, share this message with people.

Don't be a sheep. Islam means submission. Submission to justice. Islam is not submission to dogma. It is submission to understanding. You cannot understand without questioning.
True. Questioning is not the problem. One of the reasons why Islam is the best is because you can question it and every time you question it, if you are truthful, you will become more and more convinced that it is the truth because, like Allah says, it has no contradictions. He is right about the meaning of Islam though. Peace isn't really the point in this life. It is to struggle in the way of Allah (through submission). Peace is truly acquired in the day of judgment when Allah accepts you in paradise. That is the only true peace.

For instance, chapter Ali Imran, verse 19 says that the only religion in Gods presence is Islam. This refers to the infallibility of God and the meaning of "Islam": submission. To me this means not the validity of an interpretation of a religion being acceptable by God, it means that everything submits to the Creator of everything.
So in other words "im worried that i have not done the necessary work that is expected of me as someone in my position to be able to articulate my points to where i will not make a fool of myself and my beliefs so let me project this fear onto my listeners to validate myself instead of developing myself" why are you worried of the questions non muslims may raise when the book invites these challenges and promises that no challenge will succeed, sure its not the average joes job to be able to answer but it definitely is for someone in your position. First, try to read the Qur'an, just give it a try, then learn about Prophet Muhammad SAW and things that he prophesied, one of the thing that he prophesied was, one of the signs of the judgment day is that, an Arabs (he mention the name of one of the tribes in Arab, and this particular tribe was known to be one of the poorest if not the poorest tribe in Arab at that time) will compete to built a high/tall building. Hearing this his companions were confused, how can that tribe do such thing when they were one of the poorest people in Arab. What happened next was that that tribe were the one who found the oil in Saudi Arabia. Tell me where is the tallest building in the world right now? Yes it's in Saudi Arabia, it's known as Burj Khalifa. And one of the many miracles of the Qur'an is that it speaks about a human embryo when they were in the womb, it tells that a human embryos are looked like a leech, and yes when the embryo is about 2-4 weeks old it's looked exactly like a leech, a scientist (i forgot his name) clarify this and when he found out it is written in the Qur'an he said: this knowledge is impossible to be known by a man who lived in the desert more than 1400 years ago. Or like the word "day" are mentioned 365 times, wordly life mentioned 115 times hereafter mentioned 115 times, angels mentioned 88 times devils mentioned 88 times etc etc. Even in the very beginning of the Qur'an God made a claim "This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allāh[[Literally, those who have taqwā, i.e., who have piety, righteousness, fear and love of Allāh, and who take great care to avoid His displeasure.]] - -Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 2 If you think this book is a made up book, fabrication or came from a human being, God also made a challenge 'Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If ˹all˺ humans and jinn were to come together to produce the equivalent of this Quran, they could not produce its equal, no matter how they supported each other.” -Surah Al-Isrāʾ, Ayah 88 "Or do they say, “He has fabricated this ˹Quran˺!”? Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Produce ten fabricated sûrahs like it and seek help from whoever you can-other than Allah-if what you say is true!” -Surah Hūd, Ayah 13 "And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a sûrah like it and call your helpers other than Allah, if what you say is true. -Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 23 "Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would have certainly found in it many contradictions" -Surah An-Nisāʾ, Ayah 82 Even the word "contradiction" itself is only mentioned 1 time. Allah wants you to think, to reflect, Allah teaches us not to follow a blind faith

We believe God will resurrect us on the day of resurrection, one of the belief of a Muslim is we believe in the unseen, God is a spirit not a human being, we cannot see him in this life but we will in the hereafter that is His promise, our worldly eyes are not capable to see Him, God is the souce of light of the heavens and the earth, He made us this way out of His mercy. Simple question, can you look at the sun for just 5 minutes in a broad daylight? Even our Prophets cannot see Him, who the hell are we? Wa can't even look at the sun which is His creation and we wants to see the creator? You can meet someone in your dreams, when you're unconscious, can science explain dreans with 100% certainty? Can science explain consciousness? Can science explain love? Can science explain gravity? Like why the clouds which is very heavy because they contain water doesn't fall and floating in the air? Can science explain how tomatoes cameo have more genes than humans? Science can't even produce a baby milk formula which is half as good as a milk from your mother's breasts. What's your purpose in life? Who gave you life? Your mother? Can she brings you back to life if you die? Even your backpack has a purpose, to carry out your stuffs, do you as a human being have no purpose? Do you really think life is being an infant, grow up, go to college, get a job, have a partner, have offspring's, raise them, and then grow old just to die and then nothing? Do you really believe that to be the case? Do you really struggle in this life just to die and then nothing? Then tell me what's the difference if you die today or decades later if your goal is 'nothing'? What is your goal? Materialism? See those celebrities, people call them stars, something that you can't reach, they have all the treasure in life, nice houses, nice cars, lots of money, famous, beautiful women, yet many of them committed suicide, see those rich people, they can't even sleep without taking some pills or alcohol. Believing in science is good, Allah wants us to be a logical person thats why He asked us to reflect, but there are things that cannot be explained with science, those are beyond human understanding. For example this universe can't come from nothing, nothing is nothing it can't create something, so there must be a creator, but how He created it is beyond human understanding. The propblem with believing only in science is, the future science can refute what you believed today. You have a purpose in this life my friend, God doesn't create us just because He was bored and needs some entertainment by watching how human being lives their life, no, there is much bigger reasons behind that. Whether you want to believe it or not it's your choice, but you have only one shot in this life, and this is eternal choices, so there would be eternal consequences. Be mindful, do your own research, i hope all the best for you.

You can't hear, see, touch etc anything, nor do you have a brain to process it all. There is no evidence or even an indication of how that would work. the angels question Allah in the quran about the creation of Adam,
there's also a sahih Hadith in which hazrat Adam questions Allah.
Questions here are in regards to the commands and degree concerning fiqh and tawheed in the Quran and in sunnah. The "questions" of the angels in the Quran are not about instructions but of information. May Allah grant us understanding and forgive us.

True. Questioning is not the problem. One of the reasons why Islam is the best is because you can question it and every time you question it, if you are truthful, you will become more and more convinced that it is the truth because, like Allah says, it has no contradictions. He is right about the meaning of Islam though. Peace isn't really the point in this life. It is to struggle in the way of Allah (through submission). Peace is truly acquired in the day of judgment when Allah accepts you in paradise. That is the only true peace.

on the matter of peace, Abraham was in peace when he was thrown in a fire... so you can have peace even in fire on earth through God. some have everything material but their soul is not content. i believe heaven is misunderstood as well when people believe it actually has gardens and rivers like on earth but this is what is called a figure of speech... this is what makes life a test; through Arabic, it is very flexible to interpret the Quran which stretches its meaning, testing the quality of the interpreter.

For instance, chapter Ali Imran, verse 19 says that the only religion in Gods presence is Islam. This refers to the infallibility of God and the meaning of "Islam": submission. To me this means not the validity of an interpretation of a religion being acceptable by God, it means that everything submits to the Creator of everything.

1, how do we know what is written in that book is correct?
First, try to read the Qur'an, just give it a try, then learn about Prophet Muhammad SAW and things that he prophesied, one of the thing that he prophesied was, one of the signs of the judgment day is that, an Arabs (he mention the name of one of the tribes in Arab, and this particular tribe was known to be one of the poorest if not the poorest tribe in Arab at that time) will compete to built a high/tall building. Hearing this his companions were confused, how can that tribe do such thing when they were one of the poorest people in Arab. What happened next was that that tribe were the one who found the oil in Saudi Arabia.
Tell me where is the tallest building in the world right now? Yes it's in Saudi Arabia, it's known as Burj Khalifa.
And one of the many miracles of the Qur'an is that it speaks about a human embryo when they were in the womb, it tells that a human embryos are looked like a leech, and yes when the embryo is about 2-4 weeks old it's looked exactly like a leech, a scientist (i forgot his name) clarify this and when he found out it is written in the Qur'an he said: this knowledge is impossible to be known by a man who lived in the desert more than 1400 years ago.
Or like the word "day" are mentioned 365 times, wordly life mentioned 115 times hereafter mentioned 115 times, angels mentioned 88 times devils mentioned 88 times etc etc.
Even in the very beginning of the Qur'an God made a claim
"This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allāh[[Literally, those who have taqwā, i.e., who have piety, righteousness, fear and love of Allāh, and who take great care to avoid His displeasure.]] -
-Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 2
If you think this book is a made up book, fabrication or came from a human being, God also made a challenge
'Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If ˹all˺ humans and jinn were to come together to produce the equivalent of this Quran, they could not produce its equal, no matter how they supported each other.”
-Surah Al-Isrāʾ, Ayah 88
"Or do they say, “He has fabricated this ˹Quran˺!”? Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Produce ten fabricated sûrahs like it and seek help from whoever you can-other than Allah-if what you say is true!”
-Surah Hūd, Ayah 13
"And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a sûrah like it and call your helpers other than Allah, if what you say is true.
-Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 23
"Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would have certainly found in it many contradictions"
-Surah An-Nisāʾ, Ayah 82
Even the word "contradiction" itself is only mentioned 1 time.

We believe God will resurrect us on the day of resurrection, one of the belief of a Muslim is we believe in the unseen, God is a spirit not a human being, we cannot see him in this life but we will in the hereafter that is His promise, our worldly eyes are not capable to see Him, God is the souce of light of the heavens and the earth, He made us this way out of His mercy.
Simple question, can you look at the sun for just 5 minutes in a broad daylight? Even our Prophets cannot see Him, who the hell are we? Wa can't even look at the sun which is His creation and we wants to see the creator?
You can meet someone in your dreams, when you're unconscious, can science explain dreans with 100% certainty? Can science explain consciousness? Can science explain love? Can science explain gravity? Like why the clouds which is very heavy because they contain water doesn't fall and floating in the air? Can science explain how tomatoes cameo have more genes than humans? Science can't even produce a baby milk formula which is half as good as a milk from your mother's breasts.
What's your purpose in life? Who gave you life? Your mother? Can she brings you back to life if you die? Even your backpack has a purpose, to carry out your stuffs, do you as a human being have no purpose? Do you really think life is being an infant, grow up, go to college, get a job, have a partner, have offspring's, raise them, and then grow old just to die and then nothing? Do you really believe that to be the case? Do you really struggle in this life just to die and then nothing? Then tell me what's the difference if you die today or decades later if your goal is 'nothing'?
What is your goal? Materialism? See those celebrities, people call them stars, something that you can't reach, they have all the treasure in life, nice houses, nice cars, lots of money, famous, beautiful women, yet many of them committed suicide, see those rich people, they can't even sleep without taking some pills or alcohol.
Believing in science is good, Allah wants us to be a logical person thats why He asked us to reflect, but there are things that cannot be explained with science, those are beyond human understanding.
For example this universe can't come from nothing, nothing is nothing it can't create something, so there must be a creator, but how He created it is beyond human understanding.
The propblem with believing only in science is, the future science can refute what you believed today.
You have a purpose in this life my friend, God doesn't create us just because He was bored and needs some entertainment by watching how human being lives their life, no, there is much bigger reasons behind that.
Whether you want to believe it or not it's your choice, but you have only one shot in this life, and this is eternal choices, so there would be eternal consequences.

You can't hear, see, touch etc anything, nor do you have a brain to process it all. There is no evidence or even an indication of how that would work.
