I own the previous raptor also and I sold it already. It has also the same with throtle overun and the aircon becomes smelly after 2 years. I got it cleaned pero bumabalik ang amoy amag after 5 months. Malakas mag produce ng moisture ang condenser dahil super lamig ang ac kahit summer. They also found out 2 of the fuel injectors are not performing well but in fairness pinalitan naman kasi under warranty pa. Malakas sa diesel even in highway pag tumakbo ka ng 100kph and above you will consume 8-9kpl. Parang hindi magagamit yun 10th gear sa high speed because of high fuel consumption. Ride quality is even better than sedan. Mahirap ipark sa mall dahil sobrang laki. Steering is good kahit malaki ang tire pero hindi ganong responsive pag tinapakan mo ang gas pedal.

This is the first Ford ranger raptor review that I actually like and enjoy considering that I'm not really a ford guy. Some reviews tends to give out praises without justifying it on their review. But you guys really gave out an awesome review. Straight to the point pros and cons. Especially on that rev overhang which IMO can be a bit annoying which I also didn't hear from other reviewers. Kudos to you guys!

If you regularly do offroading Raptor is a good truck, but if you're just casually driving in the streets and will actually never do any offroading then the Wildtrak with the same 2.0 bi-turbo engine as the Raptor's, is more suitable, functional specially with the stepboard on the side of the cargo bay, and has a more comfortable interior.

How's the engine? Seriously thinking of getting this truck when I come back next year in the Philippines but my concern is the size engine. 2.0 liter is very small for the size of that truck. I wouldn't even own cars with less than 5.0 liter. My current daily driver has a 6.2 liter engine. Could it tow a decent size boat? I'm not really a features type of guy. I prefer performance and power when it comes to vehicles.

We get the v6 in the UK and Europe as well however it's low on power (blame emissions for that one) so it sits around 290hp. Apart from the OPF filter which shouldn't have too much impact mechanically it's been detuned at the ECU to deal with our stupid emissions rules. Nothing a proper flash won't fix when they crack the ECU and deal with the boost pressure as everything else mechanically is the same. It'll be interesting to see how the v6 holds up over time.

Hi! Tagal ko nang gusto kumuha ng ranger raptor pero andyan pa rin yung apprehension na baka titirik sa daan kahit bago pa yung unit. Dami ko kasing nababasa na negative about raptor. Reliable na ba yung raptor ngayon? I mean sa long drive maaasahan ba? Salamat sa sagot.

Gudluck po s transmission issues uncle 60km odo reading 2020 model. Transmission over heat. Even ford cannot fix it.

@@pinikpikanmountainer kung same specs ng engine., same din yan ng issues in the future. in 2023 - 2024 model facelift lang ng bago in headunit. which mabili mo lang sa only after market brand or growl.

Whats the stock horn? The previous model has peet peet sound which so inappropriate for its looks considering its a raptor☺️ more power!

Kahit ang daming tech meron parin talagang tech limitations. Intriguing yung sa throttle niya lalo na pag particular ka sa safety. Have you checked with casa and other owners?

Checked with a few owners of the previous Ranger Raptor model and they also have the same issue.

I hope you do another long term review after several years. Been a fan of ford tech but still hesitant to buy one after several major problems experienced in my 2013 Ranger. But hey this is a completely different vehicle now. Sana ok na mga problems nung T2 platform since this is a carryover :)

Sir,,,are you planning do something for the roof insulation, para mabawasan nmn konti yung ingay ng ulan?

I'm not really an interior guy but I think I'd check on whether "spray foam insulation" would work without causing any damage?
