You can activate the guard key the energize the local door, open the local door with the ordinary yellow button, then press and hold the red buttons for the other doors. In this way you separate the doors.

Yep if you did it the way he did it as a guard at ScotRail you would soon have plenty of time at home playing Train Sim World! 😅
