Enjoyed this immensely…especially when remake’s are true to the original song. What adds icing is the instruments are clear and distinct. Most of these original artists recorded their music for AM or Fm radio of the day and very few had a stereo multi track master to fall back on for years later when technology greatly improved…very well done guys.

I used to play darts with Stevie back in the day at the local pub! He would be impressed with that, especially like the sax break! On his original Prophet master I thought that was so tight and clean nothing could equal it, but you guys come REAL close! At one stage I had over 10 synths in my home studio sadly now just down to one and piano. 👏👏👏👏👏👍

I don't usually say sincerely flattering things for covers of my favorite songs, but man, the groove on this one is even better than the original! More aggressive drums in the mix really makes the rhythm POP.

Recorded in 1981 at the end of the Arc of Diver sessions... which is why we credit the recording as 1981, not the release date.

First off, with the musicians so polished and the exceptional vocal control and tone, I believe anything and everything Electric Avenue attempts to remaster will turn out golden. Answering your question: A couple of songs/artists I want to hear? Kenny Loggins and Kenny Rogers! A couple of songs I have in mind are Heart to Heart (Loggins) and Morning Desire (Rogers). You all playing those songs would definitely give me the goosebumps! I wish continued success and happiness for each and everyone of you.

I REALLY love the Multimoog synth solo in the original and was waiting to see how that went, just before, I twigged it would be the sax. Well I have to say it sounded fantastic, great tone and overall a great cover lads. Great musicianship. Must be v enjoyable

There’s actually no Saxophone on either Steve Winwood version. We were just trying to be inclusive by letting the sax take the solo. When we perform this live, our keyboard player takes the solo as it was written. 🙌🏻
