  • Farmers got to see John Deere's new lineup of C-Series air carts at work on farms across the U.S. and Western Canada this spring.
In this report from Ag In Motion in Saskatoon, SK., Anthony Styczinski, Deere's go-to-market manager for planters and seeders, shares how the C-Series performed during the 2024 planting season. The new lineup includes five carts that range from 350 to 650 bushels - all available in leading and trailing models - and a trailing-only 850-bushel cart.
"Customers have really taken to the technology that was added to the carts," notes Styczinski. He says corrosion-resistant AccuRate stainless steel meters, curve compensation, section command and high-fidelity prescriptions have been getting top marks from operators.
Styczinski adds that growers are also appreciating the faster calibrations they get with the new EZCal calibration system. This push-button calibration system is up to 75 percent faster than the current manual bag calibration system, saves a lot of walking, and prevents the operator from having to crawl under the cart during calibration.
Styczinski also discusses blower automation, another new feature, which allows the operator to set a target blower speed from the cab.
