I imagine Ian Gordon sitting in a library in a huge armchair, in front of a fire, smoking a pipe, in a country mansion with ghosts coming in and out of the walls as if it were nothing.
This is so fantastic to see! Joel was my Fathers uncle. I met Joel in the 60s, but do not remember. I really appreciate your taking time to post this. Im in the process of family tree research and amassing some of his material. I really appreciate this. ☮️
What is not to like about this story, it has Atlantis, The Sargasso Sea (a sea that has no shores,)which some claim is in 'The Bermuda Triangle.' A triple mystery! Thanks once again to all involved in recovering another long lost tale and it's presentation.
This story was very intriguing. The author paints a vivid description with words. I adore sea tales. Plus it included love and tragedy. Thank you. Have a terrific Thursday 💖
Starting at 8:05 "Nonsense....a hoax....they fooled you for a good price!" Love how you said it. I like how when you speak, it sounds like how I imagine the people back then talked." Excellent job, as always, Ian!
Good short story, straight to the point, great descriptions. It has a bit of aliens no one can hear you scream in space, mixed with history and psicological drama. Good job Ian.
Nice appetiser for The Temple which HorrorBabble also reads so well. I wonder which predates the other? You know we aren't out of Clark Ashton-Smith's stories yet I'd love to hear The Charnel God it is free of entire dictionary tongue twisters :)
Ah, this is dope... I was low-key hoping it would turn into a jonah vs whale parallel and he'd sacrifice himself to atlantis, the way it ended just sounds like he died, lol
Ya know idont know how people can hit the dislike button on stories from here. Ive only heard ONE story i disliked and stilldidnt hit the dislike button
I'm a little concerned. Is Warren still dead and are we fools and if he's not still dead are we fools for thinking he was dead? Now that I got that off my mind I love deep sea ones! I'd say they are my favorite but pretty sure I've also said that for frozen tundra ones and forest ones. But for real this time deep sea ones are my favorite, or my favorite of my favorites.
This is an awesome story! The architecture described is wonderful. I love the story!!
Take me back to thinking of Atlantis when I was a kid.

He’s from Westhoughton.
He’ll be more into rolling his own sitting against the shutters of Bargain Booze waiting for them to open.
I can see myself in the setting just as you've described.👌

Perfect timing. Just started the video and a thunderstorm blows in, perfect way to end the day.
Ah, I am very jealous ov that, miss. I love thunderstorms, something fierce!
@@jaymevosburgh3660 Me too, and the timing for this one couldn't have been better
Oh, I love horror stories and stormy weather!
We seldom experience storms here. Maybe if we're lucky 5-8 per year ⛈
Time for a Weird Tale but never forgotten. They are right here for all to enjoy.
Great Nautical Nightmare tale to the collection.
Ian how did you know a story about an eldritch underwater city is exactly what I needed in my life right now??
I need to put my glasses on, I read that as eldritch underwear

I cannot provide enough hearts to express my harmony. Please accept one for one million. 💝
Another long lost gem. And Atlantis....one of my favorites

Oh man this author saw so much in his life. Thanks for finding another "new" author unknown to me!!
Starting at 8:05 "Nonsense....a hoax....they fooled you for a good price!" Love how you said it. I like how when you speak, it sounds like how I imagine the people back then talked."
Excellent job, as always, Ian!
Once again I thank you for carrying me on the wings of sleep with your great stories and lovely voice.
Ah, a nice straightforward episode where Warren can take a break from faking his death.
Keep up the good work fella and stay safe.
New to this place, had me at the cassette tape. Love that I found y'all.
Wait until you meet warren 🤪
Thanks for stopping by, Joey!
Rumours of my demise are pure urban legend...Cheers Warren, too young to live but too pure to ever die!
Good short story, straight to the point, great descriptions. It has a bit of aliens no one can hear you scream in space, mixed with history and psicological drama. Good job Ian.
Listen to all your videos during the UK lock downs. You are a terrific narrator and enjoyed the stories greatly. Thank you very much😛
Superb, thank you for bringing these classic tales back to life...
"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝙵𝚘𝚘𝚕! 𝚆𝚊𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚗 𝚒𝚜 𝚍𝚎𝚊𝚍"
I’ve been playing subnautica, listened to this at the same time. It’s perfect.
Thank you very much. My friend's daughter is named Winona, though after a Native American princess rather than one from Atlantis!
Aren't you going to tell us if Warren is alive or not? I have to know how my good buddy Warren is doing!
Still dead and kicking probably.
@@9digitNo Well, you just can't keep ol' Warren down, you know.
"you fool! Warren is dead." 🙄
YOU FOOOOOL
You just want to contact him trying to sell him an extended warranty.
'That night we went at it over the tea cups'
This was fantastic. I love it when a character subtly comes apart. Excellent writing.
I got me a drink and a sandwich. I'm ready!!!!
I always love the stories over here.
Exactly what Richard Shaver described in the abandoned cities of the underground!!
Nice appetiser for The Temple which HorrorBabble also reads so well.
I wonder which predates the other?
You know we aren't out of Clark Ashton-Smith's stories yet I'd love to hear The Charnel God it is free of entire dictionary tongue twisters :)
The author Clark Ashton or the Atlantean High Priest, Klar-Kash Ton?
I love being a babbler.
Brilliant story! Thank you🌈
Gibbering mad by the end, as they all are.
THANKS Ian, another jewel in your crown, good Sir!
Thanks for the time you put into these 👏
Indeed a forgotten classic well done for bringing this to light...
Wonderful story. I love the description of the woman. I wonder if anyone has done art of her. She sound cool.
Good one. Thank you. Stay safe.
This story 100% inspired Donovan’s song Atlantis. His antediluvian baby lies sleeping in a crystal coffin.
Enjoyed the story and the reading of it.
Charles Randolph? As in...Charles Randolph CARTER??
I'm completely fascinated with stories of. Atlantis I'm not sure if Atlantis ever existed plato used it as a moral story
Excellent story well done. 👏
two, in as many days?!? you spoil us, you spoil us Sir :) don't know this one, excited to listen to it many thanks !
Thanks David! We typically post new recordings Mon & Wed every week.
Thanks guys! Shared!
was that Warren swimming by?
Ah, this is dope... I was low-key hoping it would turn into a jonah vs whale parallel and he'd sacrifice himself to atlantis, the way it ended just sounds like he died, lol
This was awesome

Thanks so much for this fine tale! Any plans to give us more from this author...?
This is a good story.
Winona was what the kids call, "dummy thicc"
So..... how can I sum this one up? Vaults Of Yoh-Tlantis besically and with much more described scenery (Loved that) its awesome..
Warrens alive! You fool.

Translation - Princess Winona thicc
Omfg they didn't have that word yet, but that's exactly what he described, lmao!
> Cargo of nitrates
... I have a guess where this is headed
I see the "hoax" claim was still in effect even then 🤦
Please put out more nautical tales
🌊🌊🌊
Bruh, you attempted to kill ya boy out of jealousy over a millennia-dead woman's attentions--"mad" is a polite euphemism.
Died 1991 at 96 .sweet !
👍👍👍👍👍
A wonderfully silly story. Fear of female sexuality: moving, engrossing seaweed, madness, death!
@31:20 things went really gay.
Just like a woman...
I swear I've heard this before, almost word for word, but as am SCP story. I cant find it now but the SCP author stole large parts of this.
I do not like the haughty scientist who will not let the narrator gaze upon winona
