I don't know if people do it on Twitch, I never checked, I would actually watch someone play RO on Twitch. I have been there from the beginning before transcendent and 3rd classes were introduced. The last server I played at, it had transcendent classes. I played a Stalker, and it was a mid-rate server 500x with 255lvl/120jlv. At the beginning, we didn't even have cool down :D It was awesome, I think, introduction of cool-down has somewhat ruined the experience for me. Although, I can appreciate it has also introduces a degree of balance. It was fun at the server I played, you were able to copy martyr's reckoning (paladins skill) and use it with a bow. Ah the good times rofl
I'll get all nostalgic watching this. Good old memories. It's been over 14 years when i started playing RO. Still one of my favorite games to this day :D
Sadly, there isn't a good Server i could play on. Appearently, there is an EU Server, linked to Steam, but according to reviews, the connection isn't the best and the Team behind is seem to be a bit slow in terms of bugfixes, updates and so on. The real euRO Server died many years ago when WoW came to live.
As I've noticed the game for over decade, I guess the bugfixing is "not worth for the company to do". If you asked me deeper, the glitches like pos-out-of-sync happening too easy, random disconnection while talking with NPC and so on, make me tired sometime.
Yeah, and that is quite saddening. RO will remain one of the best Games i've ever played. I wished, the Eden Sidequests would have been already there when i still played euRO. Leveling took foreeeeever. And one death was soooo costly in the 90~99 range.
The grind was really really bad, i would go to glastheim prison and spam heal bombs on skeleton prisoner/zombie iirc and it took 2 weeks to get from level 98 to 99.
HAHAHA XD I completely understand that feel. Just like my friends. They won't come back to RO (not even p-server). We've been discussed about it and I know the reasons which even I sometime temporarily stopped playing. The video editing is fun to do too. So you can expect for more to come XD
Played IRO classic (the true pre-renewal official server). Think I saw my priest did like 2200 heal bomb which is more powerful than this video even the formula didn't count matk. (In Renewal, the heal formula now counts matk from staff & its upgrade level but it's obviously less powerful.)
lol, I'm sorry that these 2 episodes are really really long. Time sum of them is 1 hour. My video editing is sticking around the rule that there should be no one can come up and accuse that I was using bot...
You can surely hope for it. The record was already done since July 12. Now that the first 2 episodes were finished, me too, wish part 3 will be on soon.

I thought jRO had gotten bounty boards (concept made by an iRO player), until I realized it was iRO! I had played on iRO since beta 2002 on and off for 16 years until they decided they don't wanna comply with the new GDPR privacy law and blocked the whole of EU recently :( And yeah bots are pretty rampant on iRO sadly, the staff catch some but they can recreate new ones faster than they can ban. Even with all the bounty boards and such it still is a slow grind at times, but you manage to make it entertaining. Best of luck.
I feel really sorry for EU players. They had shared their grieves on the forums before the block was forced. I read it and it's quite a tear. Really have no idea why WarpPortal did this. Yeah, Bounty Board was an idea of someone who made an English Ragnarok Fansite but not exactly sure about this. It was further expanded a little if I remember it correctly but I heard it was discontinued without reason.
Yeah it was a pretty drastic decision. I have to wonder if it's also a licensing thing to try and force players to euRO, but euRO already had to close down and be reopened once before so I don't have as much faith in it compared to other RO servers. Yeah the bounty board system was sadly neglected despite being popular. It was ZeroTigress who came up with the concept, dunno if they had a fansite but they were a regular on the forums. They had plans for many more boards, but became frustrated at the staff's lack of response. I think the only board they added after that first batch was Nightmare Clocktower because so many players insisted. Best wishes for your future videos.

Yeah, I actually thought/planned at least 1 more a year ago (not going to reveal soon sorry). It just really takes time to do while daily duties must be done (including JLPT exam for example). Anyway, thank you for always enjoy watching my videos!
Love your vids Roween, I really hope that I can play a server like jRO since its super viable to play even in short bursts unlike revo classic servers nowadays that requires you to either grind til kingdom come or cash out on items or either bot your way around :/
This is why i prefer to level up as BP, because there's almost no downtime and you have a wider variety of maps to farm. But still, good video i find it very entertaining and i wish more people made videos about leveling like this one.
Hi in party windows at the bottom right side you can find a key lock, as i remember it will prevent opening a private chat by double click on party member.

Western and SEA ROservers are not solo grinding friendly, they promote botting so solo players are forced to purchased in the premium shop, unlike to your JRO server you can solo leveling and has lot of gring friendly quests, even loots are not obsolete like venom canine or other recipe for alchemist and blacksmithing you could sell those loots to the players, these western and SEA servers are all about money no love in the game.
JRO has been competing with extremely-high competitive game market in Japan. Think about big names there like: Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, KanColle, FGO and other mobile phone games that newer generation always pay attention. It's really surprising that JRO is not dead there and it just celebrated its 15th anniversary last December. When I was doing a translation as a hobby, some famous persons in Japan's game industry said it's surprising too. Many games born and are already dead.

In my opinion, RO has 2 main charming points (others as well) : - Female's costume/cloth design (HAHAHA) - Stats increasing is always fun to think of. This goes into gameplay section.
Ive played so many char and i know exactly how hard is it to reach aura, and you do it in 5/6days as a fucking priest, idk how long it'll take without quest
theres usually 3 type of priest : they use staff for undead heal, use book (aspd pot) for undead heal, or hit with mace. i prefer using barehand anyway. /sigh
The most interesting thing I found was Arch Bishop in JRO. With barehand or knuckle their Aspd is increased while IRO and other servers are not. However, as I've played it recently, knuckle or barehand lacks so much damage output compared to, for example, Veteran Hammer + Heroine's Boots. (A RagCan item I guess (known in IRO as OCP))

Yeah, agreed with this. I saw a lot of other people's videos. In Revo-Classic, Anubis seems so popular there. For many players with zeny & proper gears, I saw they usually made it within 1 day or even 1 hour. For mine, as pretended starting from scratch, it took me 5 days. So, until 99 it's not that hard, especially if you are rich or paid user.
Some things about this vid: 1. Lv5 Magnificat was a waste, since it only increases its duration and not the regen effect. Lv3 is enough. 2. Your stats also a bit too spread, since 20 AGI was a bit too much for a priest. Even I leave it at 9 or even 1. 3. If you want to solo, just get Turn Undead lv10, and pump your DEX and LUK for fast cast & higher chance for OHK. Your skill build and stats were a bit "weird" for a solo-play, since you skill build was more for party-play. It's quite misleading, TBH...
Misleading ? I don't think so. I've never pointed people out that they should play and do everything just like I did. Everything can be adjusted and optimized for personal favorite/play-style. Ragnarok Online allows you to do that and it's the great feature I love until nowadays. 1. Some parties thought it was annoying since the cast causes Animation Delay on all members. Some people just doesn't like buffing that often. 2. Agi helps resist Bleeding and can prevent hit-lock. Especially when the connection has high ping. And especially when someone just started the game without any racial reduction carded shield, it also helps save the money for recovery items. 3. Tried it 4 years ago and I decided not to spend skill points on it when I was considering this video. Evil Druid, Wraith and even Dark Priest have like 5k - 10k HP. Heal Bomb kills it faster because TU is very dependent on user's luck (real life luck, lol) it doesn't proc that often. The only pros of TU is it doesn't consume SP much compared to Healing Bomb. Except for JRO case, undead monsters in JRO always use the same protocol. They have like 100k HP which make Healing Bomb ineffective at all. Then TU comes into handy. 3.1 Some people (like me for example) don't like gambling / RNG. Even with 99 Int & Luk TU will sometime fail rapidly. If you think that's okay, then it's just your opinion (and I respect it, everyone likes/dislikes differently).
Roween Anopheles 1. Animation delay? Well, that's new. Besides, you'll keep using it when partying, so I don't quite get the reasoning behind this. 2. 20 AGI won't make much difference, IMO. Better that those points allocated in other stats. 3. Get Lv10 TU and get the hell out of Glast Heim. Go fight Anubis/Ancient Mummy instead, since it gives more exp. 3.1 Well, that's what I see about this video. You're lucky that Eden Quest exist, since this kind of thing was tedious back in classic RO. Your hunting place is basically Payon Dungeon to lv40, then go straight to Glast Heim until you're bored heal-bombing those Wraiths/EDs/Skeleton Prisoners/Zombie Prisoners.

As you can see, it surely is faster, much faster than previous episode because I can mob. ME is designed for attacking and it can just blow undeads away quickly. So the kill count runs much faster. In case you buy OCP, I saw some people made use of Abyss Dress (with something else I'm not actually sure), ME can do 100k+ damage as an Arch Bishop. That's really viable.
WallySketch I also wonder why, since it's basically the "go-to" skill when you play solo-priest. You can get fast levels and kills using that skill, instead of SP hogging heal-bombs.

Also, 50 base LUK is the minimum stats to increase the procs of it since you can get extra LUK from Gloria, but 70-80 base LUK is the sweet spot for it.
Anubis : db.irowiki.org/db/monster-info/1098/ Besides it hits hard. It has Dark Strike & Sonic Blow. They're fatal blow. Fighting them requires reduction card like Bathory (protect DS but not SB), Teddy Bear. These require zeny farming. As I stated since the episode 1 of this video, "I'm pretending that I'm starting this game from scratch". Ancient Mummy : db.irowiki.org/db/monster-info/1297/ Its level is 114. In Renewal Patch, you need to be level 99 to get exp or the exp reward is reduced as a level difference penalty. Oh, think I forgot to type the description that this is IRO's Chaos Renewal Server... This game now has so many branches (like Revo-Classic/Restart) & p-servers.

Hi in party windows at the bottom right side you can find a key lock, as i remember it will prevent opening a private chat by double click on party member.

Western and SEA ROservers are not solo grinding friendly, they promote botting so solo players are forced to purchased in the premium shop, unlike to your JRO server you can solo leveling and has lot of gring friendly quests, even loots are not obsolete like venom canine or other recipe for alchemist and blacksmithing you could sell those loots to the players, these western and SEA servers are all about money no love in the game.
JRO has been competing with extremely-high competitive game market in Japan. Think about big names there like: Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, KanColle, FGO and other mobile phone games that newer generation always pay attention. It's really surprising that JRO is not dead there and it just celebrated its 15th anniversary last December.
When I was doing a translation as a hobby, some famous persons in Japan's game industry said it's surprising too. Many games born and are already dead.

Ive played so many char and i know exactly how hard is it to reach aura, and you do it in 5/6days as a fucking priest, idk how long it'll take without quest
theres usually 3 type of priest : they use staff for undead heal, use book (aspd pot) for undead heal, or hit with mace. i prefer using barehand anyway. /sigh
The most interesting thing I found was Arch Bishop in JRO. With barehand or knuckle their Aspd is increased while IRO and other servers are not.
However, as I've played it recently, knuckle or barehand lacks so much damage output compared to, for example, Veteran Hammer + Heroine's Boots. (A RagCan item I guess (known in IRO as OCP))

How long did it take from lv 1 to 99???
For many players with zeny & proper gears, I saw they usually made it within 1 day or even 1 hour.
For mine, as pretended starting from scratch, it took me 5 days.
So, until 99 it's not that hard, especially if you are rich or paid user.
The best is payon dun, orc dun, GH, anubis (turn lvl 1)... Lvl 98 in 1 day ez pz, don't need equip or something, just int

This is renewal server. Many have asked this. So I've decided to put in server info. at the description but don't know when will RUclips update it.
Some things about this vid:
1. Lv5 Magnificat was a waste, since it only increases its duration and not the regen effect. Lv3 is enough.
2. Your stats also a bit too spread, since 20 AGI was a bit too much for a priest. Even I leave it at 9 or even 1.
3. If you want to solo, just get Turn Undead lv10, and pump your DEX and LUK for fast cast & higher chance for OHK.
Your skill build and stats were a bit "weird" for a solo-play, since you skill build was more for party-play. It's quite misleading, TBH...
Misleading ? I don't think so. I've never pointed people out that they should play and do everything just like I did. Everything can be adjusted and optimized for personal favorite/play-style. Ragnarok Online allows you to do that and it's the great feature I love until nowadays.
1. Some parties thought it was annoying since the cast causes Animation Delay on all members. Some people just doesn't like buffing that often.
2. Agi helps resist Bleeding and can prevent hit-lock. Especially when the connection has high ping. And especially when someone just started the game without any racial reduction carded shield, it also helps save the money for recovery items.
3. Tried it 4 years ago and I decided not to spend skill points on it when I was considering this video.
Evil Druid, Wraith and even Dark Priest have like 5k - 10k HP. Heal Bomb kills it faster because TU is very dependent on user's luck (real life luck, lol) it doesn't proc that often. The only pros of TU is it doesn't consume SP much compared to Healing Bomb.
Except for JRO case, undead monsters in JRO always use the same protocol. They have like 100k HP which make Healing Bomb ineffective at all. Then TU comes into handy.
3.1 Some people (like me for example) don't like gambling / RNG. Even with 99 Int & Luk TU will sometime fail rapidly. If you think that's okay, then it's just your opinion (and I respect it, everyone likes/dislikes differently).

1. Animation delay? Well, that's new. Besides, you'll keep using it when partying, so I don't quite get the reasoning behind this.
2. 20 AGI won't make much difference, IMO. Better that those points allocated in other stats.
3. Get Lv10 TU and get the hell out of Glast Heim. Go fight Anubis/Ancient Mummy instead, since it gives more exp.
3.1 Well, that's what I see about this video. You're lucky that Eden Quest exist, since this kind of thing was tedious back in classic RO. Your hunting place is basically Payon Dungeon to lv40, then go straight to Glast Heim until you're bored heal-bombing those Wraiths/EDs/Skeleton Prisoners/Zombie Prisoners.

As you can see, it surely is faster, much faster than previous episode because I can mob. ME is designed for attacking and it can just blow undeads away quickly. So the kill count runs much faster.
In case you buy OCP, I saw some people made use of Abyss Dress (with something else I'm not actually sure), ME can do 100k+ damage as an Arch Bishop. That's really viable.

Roween Anopheles Well, you don't keep hunting Evil Druids/Wraiths after you got Lv10 TU. Go to Anubis/Ancient Mummy instead, since it gives much more EXPs than ED/Wraiths.
Also, 50 base LUK is the minimum stats to increase the procs of it since you can get extra LUK from Gloria, but 70-80 base LUK is the sweet spot for it.

Besides it hits hard. It has Dark Strike & Sonic Blow. They're fatal blow. Fighting them requires reduction card like Bathory (protect DS but not SB), Teddy Bear. These require zeny farming.
