I had a mohair-silk special order to be dyed and when received, I did not expect it to be as fine lace weight as it was. The color is so beautiful and I was going to just put it in a shadow box to enjoy looking at it. This pattern has inspired me to make a delicate scarf with it!! YAYYYYYYYY!!! So now I plan to make it and will be able to have the happy rich colors adorn my head or neck so others can enjoy it, too. (The color is like jewel tones and aurora borealis mixed up... very celestial with a deep blue purple base)
@@OlgaPoltava ♡♡♡♡♡♡ I fell in love with it as soon as I saw the thumbnail then watched you crochet it!! THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS INSPIRING ME (and others)!
You are an excellent teacher. You make it soo easy to follow Your instructions are precise and clear . Wow .I'm flabbergasted Thank you sooo much for this beautiful pattern I just started mine
I started work on this yesterday and it works up beautifully! It was pure luck I had three balls of this yarn whch I bought a few months ago simply because I loved it so much, but I had no idea what to make with it. I just asked RUclips to find me a crochet lacy scarf - and here you are :) Your tutorial is so easy to follow. Thank you for sharing.
I've just bought a beautiful soft kid-silk yarn in a variegated pastel color. Didn't know what I'm going to do with it, until I came across your video. It's going to be just perfect. Thank you! 😍 😍
It is the first time today that I see your wonderful patterns for scarves. I am really overwhelmed and impressed by the beauty of the scarves and the surprising simplicity of the patterns. Now it will be hard for me to decide with which pattern to start. 👏👏👏
@@cyndiviguerias6704 This was my second project with mohair yarn, I didn't like it so much the first time because I chose a complicated pattern. But this pattern was easy and enjoyable to work. I could probable adapt this pattern to make a triangle for a shawl, but unfortunately I don't have any more mohair yarn. Thank you for your comment!
Me too, I wasn't too thrilled working with mohair the first time, but that's because I chose a complicated pattern. It did turn out very pretty though. But even much simpler patterns work great with mohair. Thank you so much for your comment!
Hi Olga thank you so much! This is the scarf tutorial I was asking you about! Wow I'm so happy I found it!! 💗 sending hugs 🫂 all the way from CapeTown South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️
Thank you Olga, it's such a beautiful shawl. I have tried it with YarnArt Pacific and it's looking good but I may frog and go up a hook size as it's a #2 yarn so not as delicate as yours.
Yay!! I just bought a similar yarn from Premier on sale and tried 2 patterns that just didn’t work (off the top of my head, lol) so now I’ll follow your pattern to certain success! Bravo! 💜💜💜
I love this stitch. I have a gorgeous skein of handdyed baby merino but it is lace weight #0. Could I still make this scarf and if so what size hook and pattern repeat❤
Yes you can! I would go with a hook size 5 or 5.5 mm. You can make a small sample to see if you like the look. Also, you can measure your sample to get an idea of how wide one pattern repeat is, and make the calculations accordingly. The multiple for this stitch is 9, plus 8.
Hi Olga! I got your pattern on Etsy and have been following along with this video. I'm pretty new at crocheting and so this came up: When I work a treble into a treble where exactly am I putting my crochet hook through? I've just been kind of eyeing it without really knowing😅 thanks for these pretty patterns :)
Most people work double crochets and treble crochets inserting the hook under the two loops on the top (the so-called "v"). However, I crochet inserting the hook under three loops. That way the stitches are straightly aligned, one on top of the other. If you only insert the hook under two loops, the stitches will be slightly shifted to the side.
What a beautiful scarf! I'd love to make it into a small cape. How could I increase the width from the neck to the bottom of the cape? Any suggestions are very much welcomed 🙏
Thanks for the prompt reply ...I love all your scarf patterns .a suggestion .can you please do tutorial for a top too ..also Tunisian crochet would be great too ..

This will be a beautiful scarf to wear because of windy days. I don’t want a beanie hat to wear just because if wind, but this will be perfect. ❤️🌹
I agree, that's a good idea, a beanie can mess up the hair, but a light scarf won't.

Could this be made into a cowl as have leftover mohair silk to use up
Yes, absolutely! You can either crochet in the round, or you can stitch the ends of the rectangle afterwards.
So airy and delicate. Can you use goose down yarn for this?
I honestly don't know! 🤷🏻♀️
Mükemmel oldu 👍💯💯💯
Thank you! Teşekkür ederim 😊💕
What would be the best way to wash or clean the scarf once done?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's a lovely pattern but can I make it 10 inches wide instead of 14 .would that be OK?
Yes, just start with a longer chain.

What can I substitute instead of mohair, mohair is not available here in India. I would like to have the same soft delicate finish to the shawl.
Hi! I honestly can't think of any other specific yarn. I guess some other light, fluffy wool.
@@OlgaPoltava Thank you, will try, and let you know how it turns out....but nothing is as fluffy and soft like mohair.
Does this scarf need blocking ?
I didn't block mine. It's squishy and soft like a cloud. If you prefer it to be straight and flat, you can block it.
Lindo e delicado
What size needle please.
