Just installed mine watching this video. Not too bad of an install. Thanks to Everide for making this video and Lonnie for making awesome parts. Ride safe!
it is a very cool looking equipment dash for the bike, would be awesome if they were a little more universal but I know that would be next to impossible to achieve. Great instructions make it seem pretty easy to install.
+kwhite312002 That's a good question! The one I rode for an extended period had just barely gotten a 685 kit installed, so I couldn't really do a comparison that way. My guess is that it wouldn't increase drag enough to make a difference, because it's moving the wind along a smooth surface instead of a chest/helmet. However, that's just my guess.
Is it rotating around at the rubber ball or metal threads? If at the threads, blue loctite. I did have one rubber ball that would slowly droop on rough dirt roads. A crash finally took it out of the picture and the others have all held up so far.
I really like the idea of the additional mounting space of the KLRdash, but I also like the wider adjustability of the MadStad solution. Do you know anyone who has used both and done a comparison review? My searches have come up empty thus far.
Just fitted the KLR Dash based on your recommendation. It looks fantastic and is solid. Too bad the instructions don't recommend watching the video first. What did you do with the sharp points left after the install? Dremel them off?
and here I thought a company sent you one and we were going to get a video of you fumbling around putting it on.. damn and I was about to make popcorn.. :P
So how good does this work? I saw your original video on it where you praise it and tried to demonstrate where it makes the wind hit you and the sound of the mike etc... The wind noise drives me crazy and it has become a little bit of an obsession for me to try and figure out a way to make it not so loud in my helmet. Measured at 70 mph it is over 100 decibels and as much as I ride that can't be good for my hearing, but I don't want to wear ear plugs with my helmet coms. I am looking for something that makes it as quiet as when I duck my head down below the windscreen by my tank bag and then there is no wind noise and you can pretty much only hear youself breathing and the moto. Is that how it is when you are talking about the "Bubble" you get with this thing?
+Lance Brumfield It's definitely an improvement over wind directly against the helmet, but it's not quite hear-yourself-breathing good. I'm not sure if there's a bike out there that would work like that. Unfortunately I don't have a Gen 2 KLR so I don't have a KLR dash... so I'm more or less stuck with using ear plugs. HOWEVER, with my Sena turned up just a bit more, I can hear the music and comms very clearly, even with the earplugs in. In my opinion it actually makes the music sound clearer. I hope that helps!
you should make a video on a motocross bike. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos but I think it would be cool if you rode a motocross bike in a video
+MOTO JET Weeelllllll check out the latest video :D It's not a 250R, but it is a 250F. Technically they're not even close... but similar names at least, right? ;) I'm sure some of the mods will cross over!
+Adventure Addiction If you go for one, mention that I sent you and he might give you a percentage off. We've talked about 15% before, so he'd probably be fine with that!
+Landon Hillyard It is! And thank you! All you have to do is click the link to Amazon, then when you get there, just favorite that homepage and presto! Man that means a lot! Thank you so much!
Watching a video for a product I will probably never own, for a bike I will probably never get because MOTORCYCLES! Not bashing the KLR in any way and especially not bashing the people who ride them. -some BMW rider who's never been to a Starbucks
There are days when I really miss my KLR. So many farkles and mods and such an awesome community.
+Steve Goyette indeed! I am missing mine (it's still pretty busted up)
Just installed mine watching this video. Not too bad of an install. Thanks to Everide for making this video and Lonnie for making awesome parts. Ride safe!
+Korruptionen Thanks and many happy rides!
Pretty awesome, love the video buddy, you keep the bar high for a lot of us on video and audio quality.
+Heartland Dual Sport Haha install videos for specific moto parts are a bit weird, but hopefully helpful :)
eveRide ADV No, it was great, I appreciate you doing such a greta job on them. Have an awesome week sir.
Looks great and very simple to install.... This is going to be one of my next buys!!
+agustin meneses Awesome! Yep it's pretty quick and easy to bolt on!
Nice job! I think the new dash looks great.
Good over view of the install. I have seen this dash kit on a friends KLR. Looks good!
+Piston Slap Thanks man! Yeah I think they look really good... but the function of it is the most impressive part. Over stock it's crazy good!
Got may eveRide sticker!! Thank you.
+829tuko You're very welcome!
Tuko829 wait, what? How do I get one?!

+Andy Pandy Motovlogs From what I've heard, Lonny is working on something that's a bit more universal. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!
Have you ridden enough with the new fairing to know if the increased wind drag affects fuel consumption? Thanks.
+kwhite312002 That's a good question! The one I rode for an extended period had just barely gotten a 685 kit installed, so I couldn't really do a comparison that way. Very nice. I wouldn't mind a bit more dash space. Ram mounts on the handle bars work for now however.
+ChaoticDetour I like my Ram Mount, but it keeps rotating around no matter how tight I bolt it on. I wish there was a DRZ Dash!
Is it rotating around at the rubber ball or metal threads? If at the threads, blue loctite. I did have one rubber ball that would slowly droop on rough dirt roads. A crash finally took it out of the picture and the others have all held up so far.
what did you guys do with those two sharp points after taking windscreen off..on faring??
Nice looking bit of kit!!
+JoeJoe Moto Not too shabby eh? The most impressive part is the wind protection... I was shocked when I tried it.
Before "now some of the short nuts go here" @ 1:32 you show what size screw going into the bottom? And how do you get a nut down there?
That's definitely on the to do list. Looks great!
+Twistygrip KLR It almost makes me want to get a gen 2!
Just don't get an 08. Mine burns oil like crazy!
+Twistygrip KLR Brent's 13 did too. :\

LTVoyager if you check out klr650.net there is a huge group of people who have tried both
You show the Ram Mount for your phone which appears to be pretty low profile. I'm unable to locate it on the Ram website. Can you help me locate it?
I am looking forward to get the rally dash, the question is do I need the lower dash as well? Or maybe I can just install the 12V on the rally dash?
Just fitted the KLR Dash based on your recommendation. It looks fantastic and is solid. Too bad the instructions don't recommend watching the video first. What did you do with the sharp points left after the install? Dremel them off?
AllAboutDialogue I just installed mine and I am going to take a dreamer to them
What is it made of? Some bits are thick and some thin. Is it aluminium?
+Nerb1 It depends on the generation, but I believe the latest ones are aluminum, with a thin steel windshield replacement.
and here I thought a company sent you one and we were going to get a video of you fumbling around putting it on.. damn and I was about to make popcorn.. :P
+OtisENGINEuity Hahaha! Nah I don't have a Gen 2 for it to go on, anway!
Pretty slick! Too bad they don't make one for the Gen. 1 KLR.
+Dr. Dual Sport He said he's got something in the works, though :)
+eveRide ADV He would sell tons more if he can rig one up for the gen 1.....

+eveRide ADV Thanks for taking the time to answer simple questions like this.
A great invention, nice in your KLR
Best regards
Medel
+M. Medel Thanks Medel!
what is your opinion on the 2016 camo model?
+Kuyler Palmer I love the look of it!
Thanks for the reply.
+Kuyler Palmer Are there any differences between the two, or is the increased cost an effect of the more intricate paint job?
I just got a cammo model...used. didnt like it online...but in person it looks cool. Ive added a few kawasaki green parts to it..looks sweet 🤙🏼
Hey, just got your sticker today. Thank you.
+Alec Mauer You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy them :)
Hey man, thoughts on this dash since then?
Still happy with it?
Just about to get my first KLR and seriously considering it

eveRide ADV .. Ok thank you
you should make a video on a motocross bike. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos but I think it would be cool if you rode a motocross bike in a video
+alex payse I agree! It's not quite a full-on MX bike, but we did just pick up a WR250F with a few epic mods in the latest video :)
+eveRide ADV I can't wait to watch it
Oh how I wish that you were riding a Yamaha WR250R!!! And doing reviews and mods for it!!! lol
+MOTO JET Weeelllllll check out the latest video :D It's not a 250R, but it is a 250F. Technically they're not even close... but similar names at least, right? ;) I'm sure some of the mods will cross over!
That is definitely on my short list.
+Adventure Addiction If you go for one, mention that I sent you and he might give you a percentage off. We've talked about 15% before, so he'd probably be fine with that!
looks good
+toy g Thanks!
I'm trying to make your amazon account my default when I visit amazon.com. is that a possibility
+Landon Hillyard It is! And thank you! All you have to do is click the link to Amazon, then when you get there, just favorite that homepage and presto! Man that means a lot! Thank you so much!
I don't KLR but that is a well thought out bit of kit :)
+regulardan Yeah he's had a while to develop it!
I don't even have a KLR, but if I did I would get a Tyler to install my KLRdash.
+ColoradoDualSport I would install it for you with a smile ;)
Watching a video for a product I will probably never own, for a bike I will probably never get because MOTORCYCLES!
Not bashing the KLR in any way and especially not bashing the people who ride them.
-some BMW rider who's never been to a Starbucks
+MotoCamp Adventure I'm just nodding and smiling over here :)
Do miss that 99 F650 but the KLR is right in there. Much bigger aftermarket though! And the community! So good!
