I found a solution for anyone having an issue launching the vanilla version instead of the modded version that you were wanting origin games has an issue where it only wants to start the game with the folder named "Command and Conquer generals Zero Hour" so in order to do this you can only have one file in the Origin Games folder with command & Conquer generals Zero Hour with all of your mod inside of that folder. I'm sure you might know that you can't have two of the same folders named the same so in order to have multiple mods you must move them to a desktop folder and save them to individual folders ( mods folder ) and whenever you want to use a different mod you have to plug and play into the origin games folder basically all of them named "Command and Conquer generals Zero Hour" if you try to name it command & Conquer generals Shockwave or command & Conquer generals anything else Origin Games will not want to recognize that and only play the vanilla. So you keep the folder named the same but with your mod contents inside of it.
Example below
Desktop > mods folder > CNCshockwave > Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour
The command & Conquer generals Zero Hour folder will be the games edited modded files from the origin games tab

Cool thnx for the guide but your C&C ZH install is not exactly like Origins C&C ZH install So will this method of several folders work with Origins ZH I wonder?

Ok so when you copy the vanilla zero hour do just copy the zero hour in the drop down? Or the whole file (including generals)? I have it on origin so does that make a difference?
I found a solution for your problem I was having the same issue
Did everything you said. When I try to launch Shockwave it just boots up the vanilla Zero Hour instead.

I found a solution to the problem it's because you're running it through Origin Games and origin games only recognizes command & Conquer generals Zero Hour not renamed anything else so you have to have your mod contents inside of that exact named folder and create copies of that folder with multiple mods moved on your desktop
Its been 3 years but all you have to do is run vanilla generals then exit and then play shockwave

i already made the mistake by just adding the mod in the original game i downloaded continue mod and copy paste it to the game so can i out the another mod in or will it just break?

Rise of the Reds crashes for me when I try to play skirmish. I have Shockwave installed in a different folder.
What's the error? Try tweaking your Options.ini file found in C:\Users\PC\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data. Here's mine. Try copy and pasting my Options.ini settings to yours.

After, right click the file, go to properties and uncheck the "Read Only", if it was checked.

i tried to launch the ZHE from the launcher and the error I get is "File not found ?"

I have a big problem, I have installed CCG & ZH on my Win10 PC, then later I installed ROTR.
After watching your vid, I decided to try your method and started to delete CCG & ZH(including ROTR).
Now I am unable to re-install CCG at all, it ask me to either to repair or remove it, but it give error.
I think I need to fully remove all traces of CCG so that I could reinstall it.
I tried CCleaner, delete the game folders & even check for any trace of the software but I counld not find any. Help please!
May I ask why you deleted CCG & ZH including ROTR? I have never done that in my video tutorial.
The reason I do that is to have a clean copy of ZH to do multiple mods which I do not have since I have installed ROTR.
This is because I found out if ZH & ROTR are both in one folder, wide screen options for ZH will affect the Control Bar for ROTR & vice-versa.
So I decided to reinstall both CCG & ZH w/o knowing that Win10 has such shit thing like lingering trace that affect future reinstall! :(
I have tried CCleaners , check thru registry, delete or move CCG and ZH files to 2nd HDD, still fail.
Currently I am backing up everything before reinstalling the OS and everything, unless someone could help me in getting CCG an ZH reinstall. Perhaps a Utility that could erase all traces of these old installs.
I haven't had problems with my version of C&C:G & ZH on Windows 8.1. My friend had a similar problem in Windows 10. He couldn't reinstall it because there was an error. My advice is that you do some research on the problem you have. I can help you at some point when you explain further the error to me.
When I tried to reinstall CCG(setup.exe or autorun), it will pop up Install Shield options of Repair or Remove (CCG).BTW my copy is like your.
REPAIR option will ask me to insert CCG disk but my copy is like your which is already in the drive.So no go.
Remove option will say that CCG is already removed. So basically I can't do anything.
**I haven't tried these methods, but they logically work.**
METHOD 1
> Run setup.exe/autorun.exe of CCG or ZH and select repair option.
> Try mounting the disk you downloaded (since it's downloaded off the internet) to your optical drive. (I recommend you to use Daemon Tools Lite)
> When it asks to insert Disk 2, unmount disk 1 and locate disk 2 and mount it unto the optical drive.
> After clean repair, do run patch and crack.
MEHTOD 2
Try deleting the installation files of CCG & ZH (File path below)
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals
And also try deleting the game data of both (File path below)
C:\Users\PC\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data
C:\Users\PC\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data
Then try reinstalling CCG & ZH. Tell me what happens.
why training and all other speed on Enhance is so low, also it doesnt opens in full screen :(
I don't really know why the game speed is such, but probably to make it realistic. P.S. don't place your units behind other units because they take damage. About the full screen, probably in your settings.
Does it work for the Ultimate Collection?
It's not working, I have already tried
If you're still looking to try, don't forget to install Bibber's Ultimate Collection fixed launchers. Otherwise mods won't work at all.
