Absolutely fantastic Chuck, your ability to explain the how to do planking is so easy to understand from a newbie to boat modelling. Great work, I would like to see mote of your creative experiences.
Chuck, I have your beautiful serving machine and rope walk. You mentioning lining off a ship model in “chapter two”. While I have done this many times, I would like to see your approach. Where is “chapter two”??
Can you make a detailed video showing how to line a hull for planking? I'm building Harvey 1847 (Baltimore Clipper) and am having a hard time with lining the sharp bow.
I like your method, I’m going to build the Montanes, 1:70. Can you tell me what glue is your preference for hull planking & you don’t use nails ? Just clamping. I’ve seen a lot of builders fill in areas or gaps is this what you do as well? Thank you Chuck
If you go to his website syrenshipmodelcompany.com or the model ship world website modelshipworld.com. you can download his manual for the winchelsea which explains it really well there also resource databases on Model ship world for planking

Small point from UK. Winchelsea is a seaside town, emphasis on WINchel sea, not win chelsea
Pronounced Winkle-see by many residents
@@alansmith2307 Thank you, though the rest of the country pronounce with the CH, no doubt the navy did also. (rightly or wrongly!?)
Why not use dividers to take the measurements for transfer to the plank?
