- Hey guys it’s Robyn! Today I’m sharing a warm review on the March Scentsy Scent of the Month, Cotton Candy Tails!

🚨NOTE: Consultant Support told me the Happy Hare warmer is 8w, however the boxes are marked 10w. I believe the boxes are likely correct and that this is a 10w element warmer, not 8w!
I would have ordered this warmer had I known it was actually 10w, so it gets a thumbs up from me now! 🐇

I ended up ordering this one because my kiddo loves rabbits and I thought it would just be a display. I of course did a test run with wax. It was at 124 Fahrenheit degrees at 5 minutes of being on. At 15 minutes it climbed all the way to 171 Fahrenheit with two cubes of wax in the basket for it remained between 169 - 176 Fahrenheit for the entire 15 hours I had it on. But the top rim and outside of the basket never got hire than 86 degrees Fahrenheit and largely stayed under 76 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a really strong performer for me. And it has me rethinking passing on lower watt warmers out right.
Aww, I wanted that warmer but 8 watt element is a dealbreaker. Such a shame!
Hi Robyn! I got my kit yesterday and agree that the scent smells like a spring version of Gimme Candy! A little too much caramel for me lol. I got the warmer too because it matches some Easter decor that I already have, and it is actually 10 watts! I am testing it today and it is doing okay for a lower watt element warmer. I don’t tend to buy many element warmers because I love the ambiance of lightbulb warmers, but this one was just too cute to pass up! 🐇
That’s great to hear! Customer support told me it was 8w! 10w is good to hear!!
I feel the same about the element warmers. My marker is 12 watts, anything below that and I’m skipping it. I was sad that the coffee cup and lemonade pitcher in the new catalog are only 8 and 9 watts. Whomp, whomp. I get such great performance out of the milk glass warmer and I think it’s only 12 watts. I wish they made wattages and temperature capacity more readily available on element warmers.

It works great! Yes, I was all over the lemon pitcher until I learned the wattage. Ah well.
I so can't wait to try this scent as I absolutely love Gimme Candy! 🥰🥰. I am clubbing that bar. A lighter sister version for spring sounds perfect to me!! That warmer is so adorable and could be used all spring and summer. Bummer on the lower wattage element though. It would have to be placed with my bulb warmers for sure. Thanks for sharing!! I am warming Cotton Candy Tails and love it, nice and strong, but I get a Pink Haze vibe from it and it is quite long lasting in my lounge room. I definitely will be buying more of this scent so nice and sweet📍📍🩷

Good! Check your p 35 and make sure you got stickers! Some catalogs seem to have gone out without scented stickers of the new releases so email me if your stickers are missing! I’ll send them off seperately. :)
I don't mind the warmer only being an 8 watt. It'll be in a room that has other warmers, and besides, it doesn't scream Easter and I can use all year long as a decor piece, warming wax in it, of course.
That’s true, it’s nice that this one isn’t SUPER Easter specific, it could be cute all spring or even year round!
I agree with you! After warming this, it reminds me of a lighter Gimme Candy. I didn’t get any strawberry at all, except for the pods

THX for sharing your thoughts Robyn. I TOTALLY agree with you on Element Warmers. 10 watt is my absolute minimum... I have a feeling if they advertise the wattage they would not sell as many, but I really wish they would post it in catalogs or ads. I hope to get my cotton candy bars soon. Sounds like my wheel house for sure!
I think listing wattage in the details section would make sense, as they list bulb wattage for bulb warmers!

The warmer is cute but I feel the same with element warmers.
Last month I picked up the Hoppy Easter Warmer from last year on sale. Then they released this year's. I think I am happy with my decision 😂 I'll be skipping Cotton Candy Tails. Not sure why the bakery scents tend to throw me. If it's bakery leaning I tend to like ones with those strong fruity notes up front, like Apple Cherry Strudel! 🤤
Apple Cherry Strudel is such a winner. Not long lasting but WOW it’s good!
Thank you for your review. I was pretty sure I needed to skip this one. Really did not like gimme candy. I like some sweet sense but not that sweet and if it’s similar, I probably need to wait and see what we get next month. Really like Shamrock splash, Just ordered some more of the bars and the pods in that one.

And yes, if Gimme Candy wasn’t your thing, I’d definitely say you’re probably safest skipping this one. They are VERY similar to me.
Robyn do you know the watt on the aloe element warmer? I have that one and it throws great for me. So I need to compare to that I think.
I’m not 100% sure about the Aloe one but I think it’s 10w. It’s a good one!
Happy Hare is also 10w, support gave me the wrong wattage. The actual warmers are coming in marked 10w.

I wanted to like Gimme Candy because sweet gourmand is my fave but it was a bit too cloying/butterscotchy for me. I hope I like this one.
This one has the same heavy caramelized sugar note - so if that note isn’t for you this might not be your cup of tea.

Hey Robin, What other element warmers are at least 10 Watts? I would like to put one in my room.
Little Garden, Succutelent, Diamond Milk Glass, Glimmer and Glow, and Polar Panorama are all 10+w!
Also Happy Hare is 10w, so I believe support gave me the wrong wattage on that one. The boxes list it as 10w, so I’d go with what’s on the box. He’s probably a good little warmer!

How often do you change your wax?
Usually every day - but I leave my warmers on 24/7. Some scents go for 2 days, but I love changing my wax daily and look forward to it!
I didnt get the warmer bc its not in my budget. I do like all the element warmers.
On cold I didnt like it bc I really didn't get anything from it. I ask my husband to smell it and he got the carmel note (he said butterscotch) after hearing your review i put 2 cubes each in my sons 2 warmers to see if on warm it changed and I have to stick my nose to it. What I did get on cold was burnt sugar, smelled like smokey vanilla. Warming with my nose to the dish i still get burnt sugar with a hint on strawberry. So I'll not repurchase it. I got mine in the whiff box yesterday.
Also if I may add the lavendar cotton washer whiffs smell good in the container. I used the whole small tub on 3 regular loads of laundry and got musty smelling clothes. (I use luna laundry liquid with it) jury os still out on the dryer sheets and the scentsy fresh. I sprayed the scentsy fresh in the air it smelled ok. Need to use it on my bedding which I'll do tomorrow.
I can see how this could veer onto burnt sugar for some noses - it’s definitely a deep caramelized sugar more than “creamy caramel” to my nose too.
I’m surprised it didn’t throw great in your son’s room! Goes to show how different houses vary so much!
How would you compare this to pink sugarberry mint?

I don’t think it’s very similar. No mint in this one, and this one is heavier/richer than Pink Sugarberry Mint.
Both are sweet pink scents, and the berry note might be comparable but there is very little berry in this one compared to Pink Sugarberry Mint which has quite a bit more of the berry.
I have an 8 watt element that won’t even melt one cube, so as cute as it is, I won’t buy this one either. I’m bummed!
So it turns out Support told me the wrong wattage - I know someone else who got this warmer and the box is marked 10w, so I believe it is in fact 10w and that I was just told the wrong info!

I’m with you and the others on element warmers. My “🥸element science🥸” is: only hot plate warmers with a large wide removable dish like the Love and Diamond Milk Glass OR short, squat warmers with a wide, non-removable dish like Gingham Gourd (2022), Harvest Bounty (2023) and Love Connection (2021).
All elements have to be 9w or higher, however, Love Connection is 8w and is an awesome performer. Again, I think the short height and wide melting space helps because it sits so close to the heating mechanism located at the base of the warmer. I also keep the lid off of any warmer because all it does is prevent throw while looking cute - kind of like stilettos.
That said, I also wont buy ANY tall element because they all seem to have very small or narrow non-removable dishes located too far away from the heating mechanism located at the base of the warmer. Taller element examples: Southern Hospitality, Deja Moo, Country Canister, Countdown to Halloween, and the upcoming Lemon Grove.
I think you’re absolutely right - the wider the dish, the better, and short stature works best with elements!
I forgot about the Countdown to Halloween one - that one is quite a weak warmer. I use it for decor and don’t plug it in or put wax in it anymore as it just doesn’t throw. It’s super cute as a little statue but it is not built for throwing scent lol!
Kara, I totally agree with you about the element warmers! My biggest Scentsy warmer disappointment was the Southern Hospitality. I absolutely love the look and style of it, but it wouldn’t even melt 2 cubes ☹️ I personally wish Scentsy would re-release it as a bulb warmer lol 🍍
@@Carrie_F I had the same bad results with the Country Canister. It couldn’t even fully melt one cube!! And omgosh, a 25w Southern Hospitality would be so cute with dotted light holes - just like the mini! Keep wishing, you had excellent results when you wished for a poison apple warmer!! 🥰
