I dont know what it is with RUclips and giving me recommendations of new people trying out WoW, but it is highly appreciated and makes me happy, nice vid
I love hearing a newer player say positive things about this game, it's so refreshing! As a 20 year player, I still adore it - but it's become really popular amongst the playerbase to trash everything about the game. My advice to you would be: IGNORE THEM and form your own opinions! Seems like you're already doing that and I'm glad. Thanks for sharing your experience with others. :)
That really means a lot thanks so much for the supportive words. It makes sense that game such as this, with so much depth and years and years of development has ruffled some feathers over the years. Everyone I'm sure has their own idea of what direction it should go in. I will definitely let my own opinions form as I play! Very good advice I'd say :) So far, it's a fantastic journey that I am genuinely really excited to jump back into every time I log on. Wanted to play more tonight but my day got away from me, so tomorrow I'll be jumping back in. Feels good to be looking forward to a game this much. Thanks again!
go to options, action bars, check bars 2-5, so you can add more spells as you level , the bars to the right can add your mounts, hearthstone, food, etc.
@@itszouty yea makes life in WoW easier , also the stuff you craft as you level for blacksmithingdont for get to toss it on the Auctionhouse dont just vendor it
@@crossface7770 I'll make sure to remember to do this yes, auctioning seems like the way for sure. I'm really looking forward to exploring the crafting side of the game.
You don't need a shield if you're playing fury. You can dual wield weapons. Also, if you haven't already, turn on auto loot in the options menu, it'll save you a lot of cliicking.
Great to see a new player coming into Dragonflight. I was in Waking Shores yesterday levelling an alt from 60 - 70 and it was so cool to see people playing characters of all levels in the same zone. By the way, the orange names mean those players are on the opposite faction in the Horde, so you can’t get that. You probably look orange to them - lol!
Thank you! I'm sure it will be. It's already very memorable, especially with how awesome the added element has been of how supportive you and everyone else have been. Means a lot!
Do yourself a favor, play Fury, get TWO 2-handed weapons (the stats such as Crit/Mastery/Haste won't matter until you're max level, so don't worry about that). Get some more action bars enabled as someone else in the comments pointed out. Eventually, you're going to realize as you play, that spells/abilities are better when they are sequenced. And you'll read how your Talents play a role in how you want to sequence and prioritize what you press. Eventually, this is going to get you thinking of Keybinds. It can be very overwhelming at first. Which is why the best step first is to enable more action bars to see all your abilities first before worrying about that.
@koshka02 that makes sense, really invaluable tips thank you. Seems like it's just a matter of playing and letting time teach me some stuff while I observe the game unfold. Appreciate the comment a lot!
@@itszouty my main is a fury warrior. If you don't have it, bloodthirst is one of the best spells you can learn. It does lots of damage while healing you at the same time. Have fun!
As someone who has played on and off for 20yrs. You being a new player, totally learning everything was extremely entertaining. You approached every situation with a puzzled and curious mind. Your willingness and wanting to learn and understand what was happening is respectable. I love you didn't just ADHD spam skip quests, getting involved in lore and the world is half the fun. Keep it up sir, enjoy the game!
@grundlegoblin7246 that type of stuff makes my day to read, thanks so much. I love RPGS for the loot and the grind of course but I also really do like the lore aspect of them that's what originally made me play them when I was a kid before I had ANY concept of the word "endgame" or "gearscore" or anything like that. The overall experience is important to me for sure. And I must say at least from my view WoW seems to have cool lore and a very nice world to immerse in.
I first picked up WoW during the first public stress test before the actual release of the game. Been playing ever since with no much more than a month or two break just to play other blizzard titles. One of my characters alone has over 1 year played. Such a beautiful game. 20 years of polishing and experiments. Some experiments have gone bad, and been taken out, some experiments have gone good and stayed in. This is the gold standard of MMO's. Enjoy!
That is so awesome, what a crazy adventure it must have been since playing the game since its STRESS TEST. Very cool. Thanks for sharing that, and thanks for watching!
Having too much fun, I'm beginning to feel the grip of this game lol. Am I confused? Yes. Am I excited to learn about the stuff that's confusing me? Also very much yes.
Also, can’t believe no one mentioned this at the moment, but you can gain a little bit of health using your Bloodthirst ability. This will definitely help with your survivability and when paired with Enraged Regeneration, heals you up VERY quickly. I would also agree with the other advice here to enable additional action bars and play around with the keybinds. At higher levels you will be getting a lot more abilities added to your rotation, and so it’s important to keep keys accessible. I love that you’re taking the time to read through the quests - there are some really wholesome quests added in this expansion and it would be a shame for you to miss out on some of these experiences. Trust me, there are plenty of opportunities to space out and play mindlessly (I.e. farming, dungeon spamming, etc), but really immerse yourself in the game! It’s an RPG after all :). In any case, wowhead has class guides to help you play your class optimally, so if you’re looking to improve, that would be a great resource to start with.
it's funny you mention it because towards the end of my last session I looked at bloodthirst and was like "HOW have I not been utilizing this more" haha man I let it go unused for far too long. Thanks a lot for bringing it up. The immersion is an important aspect for me in RPGs I will not let it be ignored here, I like the world and I feel excited to discover these quests you speak of. wowhead seems great! I gotta look at that site more than the brief skimming I've done so far. Really appreciate the insights and suggestions. Thanks a million!
It is super refreshing seeing someone really enjoying the game with a lower pace and really appreciating the stuff the devs have done. Heyyyy, not sure if you know but if you are running fury spec you should equip two Two-handed weapons or One-handed weapons, Shield is for protection spec when you tank. Maybe you already knew and still trying to get your hands on the second weapon :)
That is something I did indeed read about, two handed is something I'll do here, currently trying to get another weapon haha. Thank you for letting me know though! I appreciate that!
Go to action bars and turn at least bars 2-5 on, I use 2-7. You can use edit mode (press escape > edit mode) to change the layout of your hud. I recommend clicking on the action bars and uncheck "always show action bars". This makes them see through unless there's a spell bound to it. I also recommend unbinding A and D keys for turning and setting them to strafe instead. This opens Q and E up for spells. You can also try binding SHIFT-Q, SHIFT-E, etc for easy access to spells :)
Enchanting and Tailoring is the way to go gear from raid and enchant your own gear and make bigger bags. Great money maker setting chant, materials, and bag will make you lots of Gold.
I didn’t realize that DF was already a starting zone. That’s good for you! Your self healing isn’t always available. Look up what is needed to make it pop for you. I don’t play fury much so all I can tell you is that it epsilon require you to use a spell two or three times. You have builder spells and spender spells. Self heals for paladins are spenders.
Can't belive no one told you this but you're supposed to use two two-handed weapons or two one-handed weapons as a Fury Warrior, not a sword and a shield.
You should have actionbar 1-5 activated (you can do that from the options- also click on «always show actionbar» + «show cooldown»), also when you hit level20 you should turn warmode on. You can do that from your talents menu, and that will give you 20% more xp and 3 extra talents! However you will be flagged for pvp when that is on, but Ive always since a new player enjoyed the immersion from being able to get killed by the Horde💪
I was confused about the story when i first started because WoW’s introductory/leveling experience is a mess right now. It doesn’t really have a straight path into the whole storyline, you just pick 1 expansion and get halfway into it before you reach 60 and get pushed into dragonflight or whatever the latest expansion is. I eventually just saw a summary video on youtube about the lore of each expansion because it was annoying when BFA (the expansion i first started) kept referencing stuff about the past and the character’s history. This is definitely something i recommend because Shadowlands also referenced things (heavily on Wrath of the Lich King) and Dragonflight did so as well.
That's something I'll need to check out for sure, thx! The story is important to me cause I do find myself genuinely enjoying the universe and want to know more about it!
After you level up that one character bro, the next character that you create, I would recommend you, not to level up on exile's reach, but on the other area (their normal leveling zone) then, progress from 1 to 60 in classic zones (Elwynn forest, Westfall, Redridge, Duskwood, Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi Basin, Hillsbrad Foothills, Swamp of Sorrows, Searing Gourge, Burning Stepps, and Blasted Lands) and then go do the new expansion content (1 to 70)
