LordUzaki No way, there are PLENTY of dumpsters with this stuff, people just have to go out and do it and not give up. You can't find the perfect haul by just diving once. There are MILLIONS of dumpsters haha, trust me there's way better stuff than this and I WANT others to dive and save these things!
Tales Of Taylor almost have a hard time believing that. People usually throw this stuff away for a reason. Scratched up disks, burned out hard-drive, ect... While I'd think you could definitely find the diamond in the ruff. That's not the mention the usual nasty and dangerous shit thrown in the dumpster. Needles, shit, bugs, animals. Can't imagine it would be too healthy either :/
I don't know, there was no reason for them to throw away 2 working DS Lites, working PS2 games, Pokemon SoulSilver, brand new sealed games like Shin Megami Tensei IV, the brand new computer programs, etc. I mean I could go on, but I have video evidence of the great stuff we find. I know there is a risk in it, finding the germy and grossness, but it's honestly not that bad! :D Plus it is super fun and the rush of getting these things is amazing, but I completely understand and respect your opinion, buddy! :)
Tales Of Taylor Wonder if it was all stolen goods from some shoplifter. Common for Shoplifters to stash their haul in a dumpster and come back for it if their is a lot of heat. Don't know why video games, laptop, etc would be in a pizza hut dumpster otherwise.
Stop making me anxious to dive into a game stop dumpster. Your making it fun, and I really feel like I should do this! Posters, games, controllers, all at the price of ZERO! I'm glad I found this series.
Just finished a dive, scored a working laptop it even has charge! 2 inflatable camping pillows (new in package) a fwd battery pack (rrp $340) a thermo mug (new with manual) a bike speedo (boxed) bike torch, aux cable plus more. All because I showed my friend this video and was like "dude, we gotta do a dive!"
nightmares666 Dude that is SO freaking awesome!!! What store did you dive to grab all those goodies! Congrats, man, that makes me happy it was because of watching my video! xD
I'm in Australia, I don't think you have the store but its a large outdoor camping supplies chain called Anaconda. The laptop was from an office supply chain called Officeworks, I think the laptop was a trade in. Keep up the awesome videos buddy they are really fun to watch!
Laskio Great timing I just finished another dive last night! I scored a HP touchscreen/color scientific calculator.....holds charge in perfect condition (these sell on ebay for $180) plus loads of stationary including a whole bag of eraser lego blocks and pac man ones, a 16gig usb dongle still packaged (found a 3tb hard drive not long ago), heaps of highlighters, a slot car set still boxed, a brand new lock and key (packaged), a ps3 racing wheel and pedals, another laptop (works but is XP). I suggest you give it a try :) I seem to of figured out which places are good and which are not really worth it so be patient if at first you don't succeed!
I used to dive years back in middleschool, highschool and college with friends. We usually find nothing but the biggest haul we ever had was behind an office store during my college years. We found 10 of 12 fully functional printers (their display printers and 4 were in a freaking BOX), 20 computer monitors (every one worked. They were some first-gen LCD, 15 and 22 inch), 8 laptops (that all worked), about 10grand worth of miscellaneous product from office supplies, papers, random electronics like hard drives, upgrades, cleaning supplies, I mean we needed to call somebody with a pick-up and even then it took us 5 trips between 6 dumpsters at this plaza to get everything back to our dorms. We all had brand new chairs. We had found packaged furniture like desks and tables. We rented a flea market store and sold everything in a week and made off with four grand (and yes, we kept a ton of stuff and sold it around campus). In the end we did make about 10grand in a month divided up between 5 guys for about 5 days worth of work. On an average week of hauling, we'd maybe get a grand worth of something salvageable. We knew a place to sell anything copper or aluminum or tin to. heavy iron or other metals. we would donate a ton of this stuff to local charities if it was something like clothing we could easily wash. The next best big haul was behind an FYE. We had found something like 6grand worth of music cds, records, movies/dvds, dvd players, posters, other random stuff, candy (An entire box of sour candies), and game cards for redeemable items in random online games back when game cards only just started (none of us ever heard of the games). No, we did not need to scan them at some check-out, they all worked and we made a grand of digital currency in some cheesy game I can't even remember the name of. It was gaia online I think or some website game thing like that. not gaia but one of those. whatever. Oh and we found 5 rare records that one of my buddies knew what to do with. 100bucks each. that's what he made off of them. I don't remember the band. but they were vinyl records like wtf? lol If I had a crew and my lower back was not in shambles, I would still do this in my area 3 nights a week. best days were sunday night, monday-wednesday nights. you know, the night before the trash truck comes. most heart-breaking times was behind a gamestop, we found a mountain of collectible gaming goods from MMORPGs like warcraft etc. and a mountain of oldschool console games for playstation1, snes, etc. that I guess the gamestop couldnt sell. everything had a hammer taken to it. computer monitor smashed. tons of used/returns that were smashed to bits. An easy 10 grand worth of games and consoles and toys, completely destroyed. the employees were thorough and obviously had some anger issues. Some things were vandalized with genitalia draw in permanent marker.
Thats awesome that you guys found all that! But man what a waste for them to throw that all away...why didnt they donate to charity? I mean kids at hospitals could surely enjoy games right?
Tales Of Taylor I've gone diving, and most of the games I get I donate to charities for kids with cancer, and other illnesses. The only things I keep to myself are some ratty games and posters, and stands.
tooturbugg20 Thank you! And don't be scared haha, I was too at first, but maybe you can find a diving buddy? Show them one of my videos and let them know it is fun and worth trying! Nothing to lose. :)
Matt Luvara Dude, my whole reason for doing this was to get others to join in! Please go dive, it is so fun and worth it! Bring a friend, a flashlight, a car and don't dive on private property! :)
I went dumpster diving with a few friends and we found something awesome :D a 32 inch led tv We couldn't fit it in our dads car so we had to leave it x.x
You guys are amazing. The reactions and the moments you guys are sharing is awesome. Kept me a smile on my face to see how fun you guys were having finding those things. These are one of my goals when I get a car xD.
You guys hit the fucking jack pot. good work fellas. And remember, it's not stealing if nobody knows about it. :3 If there are people out there who really ARE wasteful enough to just chuck a "non-working) PC in the garbage can, then they deserved to be taken by someone who can do something with it, and possibly make it work.
thanks, man :) you guys are awesome. It's time to open peoples' eyes as to how dangerous it can be to leave that kind of stuff up for grabs like that. I saw a documentary a few years ago in high school that revealed where that kind of stuff ends up when it goes in the garbage. It turns out its usually placed on cargo ships en masse to third world countries and placed into landfills (Malaysia was one of the biggest sites for that I think) As you can imagine, there are people who live in poverty in places like this, who have the technical know-how to recover personal information on these garbage computers, whose original owners thought were "permanently wiped" can actually be recovered by someone thousands of miles away, and can find a way to steal that person's information. It's a scary thing, and I think it needs to be brought into light. Thank you
I just discovered dumpster diving like two hours ago. This is awesome how you get all this free stuff and I'm interested in doing this myself. Subscribed, can't wait to see more :)
+Vendzor AWESOME! You should check out EP. 2 of our Dive Time show! (my latest video) I hope you will be pleased! I have other videos on the secrets to dumpster diving and such, you should start going out and saving these things! :3
Edgar and I go about 2-4 times a week. We both have full time jobs so it's hard, but I make about $200-500 a week from dumpster diving haha! Though that's not a lot compared to other divers, but I also give away a lot of stuff and donate a crap load! :D
Hmm that's tough. Games work 90% of the time. But diving for broken things is ok for me because I fix electronics. Other stuff is 75% of the time working which is really good!
Well I know it is hard to believe, but it is way harder to believe that someone (like me) would have the audacity to plant our finds in a dumpster. That would be really dumb and I couldn't live with myself if I did that. But yeah, all of our finds and videos are 100% real!
Just saw this article the other day and thought I'd share it with you guys. Some of the people posting here are doing the typical "that's so fake" sour-grapes thing and this article will go great lengths to prove to you that it isn't. It's about this guy, Matt Malone, who makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year from dumpster diving. He goes around on a regular schedule, he knows what to look for, he knows what sells, and he usually sells what he finds for about half of retail on Amazon or other places. It's not stealing. Courts have determined that if someone throws it away, it's fair game. What's the true shame is that usable stuff is getting thrown in landfills because of sheer laziness or the "maximize the buck" mentality. There's whole industries that recover massively valuable things from old electronics, including a considerable amount of GOLD (those edge connectors and 24k plated pins add up). So, kudos on your lucky strike, guys, and a very cool video. www.wired.com/2015/02/high-end-dumpster-diving-matt-malone/
CubedPotatoesHD Yes, this is very real haha! My goal is to get others to dive and find this amazing stuff! Check out MomTheEbayer and other divers, they have found even better things than me!
Tales Of Taylor nope, i was lucky enough to find the original pokemon movie VHS and a snes 2 box, thats the only things i found during my first dumpster dive, brazil dumpsters: toilet paper everywhere, plastic, school homeworks, unrepairable eletronics and lots and lots of rats and cockroaches.
i also never liked trash here in brazil or in elsewhere cuz i never seen useful trash from other locations, but i can definetly tell you, i never seen this dumpster before and i already love it!
Logjambam Yes. I totally should! (I forget and sometimes just don't care) But I do use hand sanitizer, but I have been wearing gloves. This was a while ago.
Yea I agree man that's dangerous he could get stuck with a dirty used needle, get a virus from different things I mean even tho it's the cardboard dumpster u never know. I've never been dumpster diving but it's a hustle that can save u a lot and earn u more so kudos to this man 👌🏾
Tales Of Taylor I think the biggest thing is just to protect yourself in case of broken glass, or even needles and such if anyone else decides to use that dumpster for garbage
I took something from a dumbster of gamestop 1 week later the police was at the door and i needed to pay a fine of 5000$ or go go to jail for 14hour i took 14hour in jail
I did especially when Hastings went out of business. All thanks to this channel. I had tons of fun with my friends. Hell all the expired candy? We ran like an underground drug ring around school.
the best dive ive had is just walking around my friends neighborhood found a perfect gaming chair vintage tvs flatscreens and perfect sofas and recliners
Hey man,i love what you do,you inspired me to go hard at dumpster diving, usually i find hella posters, like over 100,and display boxes i got the same 6 foot gta5 display box and 4 smaller boxes that you got awhile back,a couple times i found headphones, controllers games, and empty ds boxes, but keep it up,and crank them vids out bro!
Hi is there a certain day to dumpster dive? I was curious because when i tried all the gamestops near me are in strip malls or plazas etc so its hard to know which dumpster is theirs.
I went diving at GameStop for the first time yesterday, and I found this huge fool house looking thing. I obviously couldn't take it though haha. Also I love your videos, I've seen all of them, and the non diving one
Good stuff man great to see people taking advantage of this good luck hope you get more great stuff just wish this happens in Australia but you never know it could
I actually went to a GameStop Dumpster the other day and the top was full of thrash. But once I got to the bottom I found one Xbox one controller missing a button lol. I got and I put a spared button I had at home and now I'm using it.😎
One good place to dumpster dive at is big colleges mainly around the times the semester is ending. Allot of the time these college kids end up flying down from out of state to attend school and can't bring or ship back all the stuff they bought for their dorm room. For reasons unknown allot of the students throw it away. I've found everything from 42 inch screen televisions, to gaming consoles, to ipad tablets. If found unopened kitchenware, black diamond cutlery, you name it I have found it in the trash. The saying one mans trash is another mans treasure really is a true thing.
American and Canadian law says that dumpster diving is not illegal unless there is a sign, fence or lock between you and the dumpster. What do you know, right?
There's now 100,000 people searching dumpsters and not finding anything close to this.
LordUzaki No way, there are PLENTY of dumpsters with this stuff, people just have to go out and do it and not give up. You can't find the perfect haul by just diving once. Yeah, my friend worked at Walmart and told me the same thing. :/ But they have compactors and diving there is impossible.
It made me smile to see how excited these guys got. I am planning on doing this soon.
dirtymurphy24 Haha thank you very much! And good luck, if you need any tips, let me know! :D

StrawberryrainPop I completely agree, but that is just how big businesses are. :/ They don't care.
Tales Of Taylor its the sad truth i guess :(
If they did that then theyd have a better name but no because that would be the nice thing to do
Tales Of Taylor I've gone diving, and most of the games I get I donate to charities for kids with cancer, and other illnesses. The only things I keep to myself are some ratty games and posters, and stands.
I donate as well. When I dive for food, I give to the homeless. I give away and then I keep and sell some for gas money to dive more! :D
Love the vids bro... So jealous... I want to go diving now but I'm scared to go alone.
tooturbugg20 Thank you! And don't be scared haha, I was too at first, but maybe you can find a diving buddy? Show them one of my videos and let them know it is fun and worth trying! Nothing to lose. :)
I am going to go the first chance I get... I have a 90 suburban so I don't think I'm going to have to leave any big items.
Just discovered these dumpster diving videos today, and wow. People are getting rich of this shit! I gotta do me some dumpster diving...

Who needs jobs? Just become a dumpster diver!
RedButterGaming Right!? Full time divers can make 300k+ a year!
But how manys hours tho most likely not worth it

Why are these GameStop dumpster diving videos so addicting to watch?
Diving in true form. 10/10 this judge scores.
Shouldn't you wear gloves? Cause you know... It's a dumpster and shit.

It was not on private prooerty and i only took some game boxes. But the police and gamestop took it as stealing
Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? Not address wise, but location?
Norway
We have very strong rules here
You guys are innovators. You ROCK!
GameStop and Hastings should have a free section for stuff like this hahaha......outside of the dumpsters😂
My god the great stuff people throw away is insane!
I hate how none of you guys acknowledge how good Taylor roasts haters on this channel
This was amazing no one else could find that much cool stuff
I did especially when Hastings went out of business. All thanks to this channel. I had tons of fun with my friends. Hell all the expired candy? We ran like an underground drug ring around school.
Not to mention all the different posters. I still have from that time period Of like 2016 to 2018.

I actually expected it to just be a generic dumpster dive, and also, I hate dumster dives, but this is by far, the best dumpster dive I've ever seen.

what they say is true another man's garbage is another man's treasure
That's it! Im goin dumpster diving this weekend!
Brazil needs a gamestop now!!!
My volume was up when the dog appeared, headphones on, Just chillin, playing Pokemon X then i'm like, o-o xD
Your lucky my brother i wish you enjoy all you got :D
one man's garbage is another man's gold
+Tales Of Taylor Lol what time do you suggest going diving?
Dude I would definitely say this was better than the other dive you referenced in the annotation.
+TyRex Really? Aww man, I love the SNES though! xD
I agree :D That find was epic.
I reckon these were a result of a burglary previously and dumped in the dumpster. what a find though well done lads.
stupid
I mean not the men on here commuting burglary I mean the items could have been put in the dumpster by someone committing a burglary.
Sally Latham well then maybe
you are awesome bro saving these things that is worth money keep it up :)
Kurt WAPOW NO! *YOU* are awesome! :D
American and Canadian law says that dumpster diving is not illegal unless there is a sign, fence or lock between you and the dumpster. What do you know, right?
Oh my god!! I wish I could have teleported to you!
Dude that PC with the sticker on the side I OWN THAT 1 IN REAL LIFE OMG XD
