it was pretty cool when i went dumpster diving the last few times. i was excited when i found cases in the gamestop dumpster, but nothing worth taking. i believe a dumpster diver came in before me because the bag was torn, but still pretty cool experience.
Because of you I have started to find treasures and you are a huge inspiration to me. I love what you do and I hope that you will keep making these vids. I have only gone 3 times so far and I have found some pretty good stuff. I actually just found an Xbox 360. Thank you for what you do.
Great find with the TV. Check if it's just the speakers on it that are dead, because if so, you could just hook it up to an external audio device.
Agamemnon2 I did check, it has a headphone input but still no sound, but like I said, I can use it to dual screen my computer! :D
Ty for saving that stuff. Gonna have to work up some courage & give it a try. Small request, please consider donating anything that doesn't sell that's for babies or kids to your local Guardian ad Litem or CASA office. They're volunteers that help kids in foster care due to abuse or neglect & they could use it, all locations could really. It wasn't a true dumpster dive lol but I did stumble upon some coats & clothes for the homeless vs it going to the landfill. So again ty for what you do!

The first time Edgar and I went was that first week, the MONDO HAUL, and we hit the jackpot and just never wanted to stop! Before I made videos on here, I made videos on another channel and I've only been diving for about 7 months! You should definitely go if you are old enough. :)

Wikkedbrisbane Completely agree! Thank you! I mean, through diving, we saved a kitten's life (I now own and take care of her), we donate children's books to schools and feed the homeless. We actually donate a lot of our stuff!

it's weird but just the other day, me and my friend were driving towards the mall and on the way there, we noticed an hd tv left out on the side of the road. The only thing that was missing was the cables to plug it in which is no problem. I could use the tv in my room which is great. Good thing I came across it.
Ok so I went at the day time there dumpster was completely empty like full on empty but it was in the evening what would be a wise time to go taylor?
Ive only dumpster dived once and I got some linoleum for my floor at a carpet warehouse. I want to go dumpster dive with some friends soon.

I found that same super smash bros 3ds display and they ripped mine as well. They tore it in half, but I still was able to tape it up with clear tape, so it looks decent now. They probably didn't want people making money on it. One sold on ebay for $125.

taylor thanks to your videos I plan on dumpster diving at my local game stores but im worried that its illegal..... any help or advice?
Hey, man! It's perfectly legal if you live in the US! But, it is illegal if you dive on private property! You can tell whether it's private or not by simply looking for a sign, TRUST ME they will be posted EVERYWHERE if it is private haha! You will know if you're on PP or not. Other than that it makes me very happy that you are going to dive! I enjoy doing this and diving because I want others to get into it and save these poor items from being trash! Good luck to you and remember, do not give up! We didn't find anything in the beginning, it's really all luck based and I have had a great many nights where we have come up empty handed! :)
This is honestly so cool, thinking about quitting my minimum wage job this summer and doing this full time and selling it on eBay. Does anyone have any tips on the best days to go?
+Megan Weller I made a "Secrets of Dumpster Diving" video on my channel, I kind of answer the FAQ. :) But that is totally doable, one good find and you will already have made more money than a min. wage job.

Megan Weller Just don't dive on private property and stay safe out there, but most importantly have fun while going! It is one of those "learn as you go" experiences. You'll find out which spots are good to hit up and which bags to look out for! :D And in my most recent video on my channel we get caught by cops if you'd like to see how we act with them! :) Just be nice and tell them you are diving haha!
+Tales Of Taylor yeah definitely, I think I'll try game stop tonight since you have so many tips, and I saw that, it's cool that they were basically ok with it! I might try ulta as well, I've heard some good things about diving there as well, I'll have to let you know if I find anything!

Me and my friends want to dive in all the gamestops dumpsters and other stores but some are enclosed by a wall with an opening do you recommend we still look or no? I live in SoCal by the way
Tracy Carter Hmm, I'm not sure. Is it private property? If it is, do not go.
I don't think so. Similar to your locations just the dumpster has a concrete wall around it with an opening.
I mean *I* would do it, but it is totally your choice! If you feel too scared, then don't do it. :) DDing is always a risk of trial and error! :D
Alright thanks man:) by the way I watched a video of you diving in a biglots one im very surprised you found something in there because I work there:) were suppose to prevent dumpster diving, which I think is stupid but I guess it's different from wherever you live so congrats on that because it's so rare to even find biglots stuff lol.
Well I know all stores are supposed to destory things and wow that is pretty cool! xD I haven't found anything in there in a long time though! xD

This is a serious question I really want you to answer, I'm debating on going diving but is it illegal to take stuff from the dumpster and have you ever gotten caught or get in trouble for doing this stuff?
TheMadIsReal No it is not unless you are on private property and yes, I've been caught before and told police I was looking for dumpster gold. Only been caught twice in the 8 months I've been doing it and they can't do anything. It's legal. Sometimes they are jerks but others are nice. Hope I helped!

A nice amount, good cases sell for about .25-.50 cents a piece, and we've found thousands since we started.

Joshua Jimenez No we've had cops, and other divers talk to us several times, but we aren't recording when it happens haha. We dive around 9:45-2am

Hey!! I went dumpster diving with my boyfriend and he found a bunch of cases for the ds, ps3, and xbox 360. How much can he sell them for?
Jenny Rivera That's great! And well, you can sell SOME highly sought after cases separately for a small profit online. Like Pokemon X I sold for $7 on eBay. It all depends, though I have a store I go to to sell my cases for about .25-.50 cents a piece. I'd say call a local game store to see if they'd buy them from you! :)

maybe try hitting up other stores with possibly interesting things to throw away. Maybe best buy or a computer shop or something. Possible for a lot of games/dvd/bluray, computers (even if the computer doesn't work you can strip it down for parts and see what does work and possibly fix it if you know how)

I don't get it I went dumpster diving about a week ago at two gamestop locations and found nothing?
You only went once? Dude, we have COUNTLESS nights where we find nothing, but we go diving A LOT. You are not guaranteed to find anything when you dive, that's why you cat give up after going once and coming up empty handed. Please try again, I know of 2 locations that collect all of their trash and throw it all away on one day of the week and it's always a different day, so it's possible other stores follow up with that process as well. Try again and let me know what you find! Trust me, I was skeptical at first too when I found nothing, but checking back constantly is key! :)

Zappy, you're absolutely right. We take all of our money, and just buy tons of electronics and books, etc. Like that HPB dumpster for example-- we bought enough books to fill 1 1/2 dumpsters all for you, the viewer. Keep in mind we aren't being paid from RUclips, but we do it all for the fans. We just have too much monies, plz teak. Ohemgee, we're busted. I wish we had lives.

Nope. Because Edgar the camera man is one of my best friends and I've been diving with them several times. I'm even in some of the vids, so if you have a problem with them then just unsubscribe and stop watching the videos
