Thanks very much for this! My roof opened normally then would not close. Read manual, tool was missing to jack up clamshell, but more importantly, there was no screw holding the potentiometer onto the shaft. ......gone. With your video , I identified that there was supposed to be a left handed screw in the shaft. I have ordered the kit thanks to your help, and hopefully will get screw in there and see if I can open clamshell with hex head wrench. Dont know if motor is good, or really what the problem is at this point, it seems the clamshell is latched in the center back preventing opening. of course with the roof open there is no access, even the motor you describe is difficult to get at. Will look today to see if I can remove motor with the clamshell closed. Also that locking mechanism on the shaft is interesting., but without screw holding pot in place it is impossible to access shaft to turn.
