I still think this is one of the prettiest dolls I have ever laid eyes on.
I think they are both beautiful, but the D23 doll is my favorite. I love her cape and hair pin, and the purple in her hair. I like that she has the shimmery skin, as that shows she is a powerful witch. I didn’t know that that under skirt was not the same in the new one. So I like everything better About the D23 doll.
I actually passed up on the D23 version and I’m glad I did. I love the regular skin tone and brown hair look!

The positive about this it's for peoples who doesn't like pearl skin and who dosen't get the D23 one.
I wished they made a other Vanessa like in pre wedding dress or in the wedding dress

The D23 doll has more Ursula in her. From the purple streaks in her hair to the purple shine in her skin. These little details of the D23 doll remind me of Ursula. i prefer it so much more but this one is pretty too : )

I love Ursula especially in her human form she's my 3rd favorite villain I love the pearl skin tone more because they put in more detail for her and the purple in her hair
they should have given Vanessa a solo movie how she ends up as Ursula .. a whole movie with Ariel as a guess star.. as a friend to her during her younger days they were very close friends.. it would have been a dream come true in the Little mermaid series... Love to see it happen... Venessa doll here is just dreamy and super awesome 5 star...

I love both of these dolls but I think its a shame that the Disney store couldn't even come up with a new design for their Vanessa doll, I would have loved if they put her in her wedding dress! But that is just my opinion.

Great video, and I'm glad you were able to buy her at the store instead of dealing with the website chaos. I do like the D23 version better, so I'll be saving up to buy the inflated eBay prices.
I don't like any of them. Vanessa is a beautiful character, but this dolls look nothing like her, I'm completely disappointed with the new face and the clothes.

I'm happy that they made this doll for shopDisney because I haven't the opportunity to go to D23. I prefer the pearl skin tone but she is still stunning. I got this one and Ariel online I'm happy and nervious
I prefer the disney store version, but I would add the hair pin.
I prefer the Disney Store version of her; the pearl skin, purple highlights, and cape on the D23 one seem a bit too much. I do wish the hairpin was added to the Disney Store one though. Will I be able to get either? No haha, I just like looking at doll fashion because it's beautiful. Awesome review! (PS. I've been reading the French translations on the boxes of these doll reviews to practice for my French class.)
Thanks for the review. Vanessa is my favorite villian...though not a fan of Ursula. I love that they did two version because the more Vanessa the better, as there have been very few Vanessa things available for purchase. Side note...there is an amazing sketchbook ornament of Vanessa, released a few years ago, that is hard to get ahold of now. I loved the review on the D23 version because I loved seeing the extra fashion touches. D23 makes me think runway vs. new version is more accurate to the movie. D23 the skin and hair highlighting were amazing. It reminded me of the high fashion villian series the disney store did a few years ago. The newer version does seem more sleek and accurate. The smirk on her face a and tilt in the eyes are more devilish and true to the movie vanessa vs. high fashion. The new version the top seems better fitted, as in a regular dress vs. high fashion stiff fitting. I think the new version should have gone a shade darker on her hair, though. I love the cape on D23 because she did have a cape at one point. I like them both in different ways and hope they make more Vanessa pieces now... dolls, decor, accessories, mugs etc.

So you did end up getting her lol. I was truly guest number one at my store but a non-working cast member let a past member cut and become first so i ended up not getting a vanessa😔

I'm sorry, but the sequins on her skirt are absolutely hideous, they even put them stupid things on the Midnight Masquerade Cinderella doll.
Which is friggin disgusting, these poor dolls do NOT deserve them, Disney's gotta stop usin' 'em!
But that pearl-textured skin is very unique though, I'm certain we'll see something like that again on the next night of the blue moon! 💙🌙
I love her but I am not rich... I cannot afford to buy a doll over 50 dollars. The prices of both these dolls are INSANE. These dolls are clearly meant for wealthy people 🙄

I prefer this version of Vanessa's doll more ! I thought it was too much cape+sleeves, I love the fact this doll has only the sleeves because I feel like these sleeves were a kind of new fashion interpretation of her cape in the movie, so she doesn't need sleeves AND a cape... but I prefer the hair of the D23's, brown hair with purple highlight give her a more...
"EVER AFTER HIGH DAUGHTER OF SEA WITCH" style ! I love it.. but honestly, they could just do a 12'' version of her... but whatever, it's not like it was the first Designer doll to has 2 versions right !

I prefer the natural skintone, but overall I like the more detailed look of the D23 version.

I was hoping to find a seller on ebay that was willing to sell it at a buy it now price but everybody wants two or three times their money back from it. I even offered someone in line to get $275 but they told me they were reselling it. I hope you win it. I know I can't even look at photos of her right now because I'm still angry from yesterday.

Lol it’s funny cuz I didn’t notice while filming, let me tell you!!! I got rained on the other way walking from car to target and then the next day it was freezing (never happens in Florida) soo that most be it 😂 a cold is coming along nicely
