For the VA of Kaeya's father, that was not "that" long ago. It was during the wine-event, where we learned about Razor's parents.
I don't think they'd change it that quickly. Also, even if EN dubs switch actors more freely, JP, and I assume CN as well, are very strict on keeping the same VA for the same characters.
I think Kaeya's father might be a grown-up Caribert, whose curse was broken.
The issue is how Kaeya recognizes Dain's eyes if his father was not full-blood either, but there are other ways he could have learned this information.
I like the idea, because Caribert's mother was from Mondstadt. So, adult Caribert dropping Kaeya off in Mondstadt to give him a happier life just... makes a lot more sense.
It also explains how Kaeya was able to grow up with Diluc, and age normally alongside him. He is probably not older than 22 (or, 25 now), unlike Caribert.

When Caribert disappeared for the second time, he left his scarf on a crate just outside the hut. Which is why everyone assumed that the corpse underneath the garden was Chlotar and because the corpse was *holding* (not tied) a scarf.
I also think that our abyss twin was the one who buried Chlotar because the traveler was able to recall it and decided to unearth the garden. Our abyss twin wouldn't just bury a random person along with a scarf that is important to Chlotar. Which is why I think it was the real Chlotar who was buried in the garden. It also cant be Caribert who was buried cuz Paimon said that it just normal skeletons and not a hilichurl's
After Caribert dies of cringe, Chlotar founded the Abyss Order as a proof of his faith to the Crystal. Died later on and was buried by our twin. Then our twin succeeded the role and continued the abyss order

      @sticky4401 Год назад +13

Ok also here is another brainrot theory of mine. It's weird that Chlotar, despite being cursed with immortality actually died. So I think that after he created abyss order, death was his reward from the Sinner, who is powerful enough to grant it to his followers, but such action is not something he can accomplish willy-nilly, therefore being granted confirmed death is the motivation, that pushes the former citizens of Khaenriah that roam the world just like Chlotar did, to join the abyss order, and work towards the Sinner's goal.

I have a theory that Dainsleif is actually a sword that only the Royalty can use. In mythology, dainsleif is a sword that is suppossed to kill somebody when it's unleashed. Maybe that's why our twin is upset because he couldn't do his duty and kill the "threat" or whatever to save Khaenri'ah. Clothar also didn't really recognize Dain when he saw our twin and him, maybe Dainsleif wasn't always in a human form for Alberichs to see.

Since it didn't matter which twin we play, the outcome will still be the same because they think so similarly; wouldn't that be the reason when choosing between two dialogue options, the response is still the same assuming if in situation the twins are together and pick both to complete each other sentences, it will make so much sense. To instantly dismiss the VA notion of Kaeya's father seems shortsighted. Mihoyo has consistently used and teased things with the smallest of hints. They clearly pay a lot of attention to the details (Breathing in Dragonspine w/ either puppet) and VA's would fall into this category. Especially when it comes to the CN and JP dubs. They are very consistent. Reusing the Honkai VA's for their Genshin equivalent is another one of these cases. TeriTeri still voices Nahida and same for Yae and Mei. Its def good to question it as your right situations can change but barring some massive issue Hoyo will and does seem to go out of their way to get the VA's. Just my thoughts on this particular segment.

Mushrooms tend to grow on dead things like life and dead tree bark, an interesting detail..
The odd mushrooms resemble the very near identical rukkhashava mushroom, closely related to the god of life and wisdom or consciousness and growth from death
My idea is that the odd mushrooms are normal rukkhashava mushrooms cultivated from the cursed energy of Eide’s wife buried in the field
The absorbed curse having a sort of anti-curse effect when concocted into medicine for Caribert similar to how you need snake venom to make an antivenom with a careful/natural dosage
So the combo of conscious energy, anti-curse and pure water/blessing is likely why Caribert was able to awaken from his inner coma

I never thought Kaeya was Caribert that's why I don't understand where the theory even came from but during the time I was watching I changed mind a lot of times~ xD
But in the end, Kaeya being a descendant of the Alberich and not being Caribert makes more sense. Kaeya grew up with Diluc, even if we say that maybe Chlotar left him in Dawn Winery when Caribert became human again it doesn't fit the timeline, the memory happened 100 years ago or atleast that long ago before Chlotar became the founder of the Abyss Order, if Caribert became human that time, Diluc isn't alive by then....during that 100 years to the time that Kaeya was left in the Winery, what did he do? Did he just slept just like the Traveler? Also, to Hoyoverse's credit, they are faithful to details like VAs different for different characters and VAs being similar to proxy characters between Honkai and Genshin, suddenly overlooking that detail between Chlotar and Kaeya's father during the Wine Festival is very uncharacteristic for them.

Wasn't it you who theorized that Mondstadt would be the final battleground? Or was I thinking about somebody else?
Anyway, what if Kaeya is NOT Caribert, instead, is a vessel for the loom that was obtained by the Alberich BECAUSE of Caribert? What if it was an inheritance among members of the family, passed on from one member to the next generation?
What if they indeed were able to sever their ties to the curse, but because the one who carried the loom would suffer a fate worse than the curse, Kaeya's father chose to abandon him in Monds?
Or left him there as a safety, to conceal him from anyone who'd use the secret? It could be possible that the Alberich are likewise biding their time and one day will return for Kaeya to take what's been stored in him, to use him as fodder for their purpose, assuming they're nefarious enough.
If this is the case, then the final part of the story would be some mad dash to get to Kaeya first: Jester finds out of the truth, and he turns out to be the piece missing to be able to use all the gnoses, so the Harbingers race to Monds to capture him; the Abyss sibling and Order are there too, finally finding out about where the Loom is, or at the very least, the manual to make a loom that Kaeya isn't even aware of; Dain'd be there to stop them, Celestia would awake to destroy everything, the archons who wish to prevent another cataclysm, and then our Traveler who just wants to save everybody.
    Would be some finale...

A bit of correction on Ashikai's part, the twins were not separated by 500 years of time or space. If you read Character Story 1 on Traveler's profile, it says, and I quote: "The god took your only kin away, and you were sealed and cast into a deep slumber filled with nightmares..." Traveler really was just in a coma for 500 years, which is also the story they presented in the original closed beta, albeit in that version, our sibling gets impaled and chained up by Sustainer... which is interesting.
Ashikai's theories here are overall fascinating and make a lot of sense, though.
I am still curious as to why the gods destroyed Khaenri'ah, and I can't help but wonder if the Celestial Nails come into play, after what we learned from the Flower of Paradise Lost artifact set.
The Goddess of Flowers told King Deshret that the Seelies were envoys of Celestia, and that era is also talked about in the Tiara artifacts in order of Frost, Flame, Torrents, and Thunder. She says that Descenders came and caused "breakthroughs" that caused people to see things they shouldn't have, and the Heavenly Principles sent down the Celestial Nails to repair these "breakthroughs", destroying civilizations in the process. Look to the destroyed civilization of Sal Vindagnyr on Dragonspine, which fell because of a Celestial Nail. But wait, the scribe that Sal Vindagnyr had at the time was named Ukko, and there is a Frostarm Lawachurl on Dragonspine with a special top-of-the-screen health bar with the name Ukko. Hilichurls are recorded as having existed for thousands of years, and Sal Vindagnyr was destroyed thousands of years ago, before Barbatos became the Anemo Archon (I can explain my reasoning in depth if need be, but I don't wanna make this comment too long, especially since I need to get ready for work soon).
At the end of the Caribert quest, when Chlothar starts speaking to us as the Abyss Sibling, it starts to sound almost like he at least partially blames the Abyss Sibling for Khaenri'ah getting destroyed, and I wondered why. Well, if the Abyss Sibling came as a "Descender" before getting integrated into Irminsul, what if coming to Teyvat from the outside and integrating into Irminsul also adds your memories of the worlds beyond Teyvat into Irminsul's database, causing it to freak out from knowledge that shouldn't be in Teyvat? What if that's what causes "breakthroughs"? What if our Sibling inadvertently caused a "breakthrough" in Khaenri'ah and the Heavenly Principles responded by sending a Celestial Nail along with the Archons to try to contain the resulting damage?

      1. That area was desert even before Khaenri'ah fell 500 years ago.
      2. The circlet piece of the Golden Dreams artifact set states that the very first Celestial Nail that came to Teyvat landed in Sumeru, "burying tree and meadow under the flowing sands." Meaning it fell before the ones in Dragonspine and the Chasm.

I generally find it really interesting that in We Will Be Reunited, the abyss twin blames Dain for "failing to prevent the destruction of Khaenri'ah" and letting its people down, in spite of the fact they were clearly travel companions after those events took place. I'm also leaning towards a situation where Dain revealed something he'd done to the abyss twin that puts more blame on him than he was thought to previously shoulder, like a Kaeya- Diluc situation as mentioned in the video.

I've been playing Honkai Star Rail lately and getting to know more about Honkai characters (since there are so many similar characters) and i noticed some of the archons and gods are heavily based on Honkai characters (Venti, Raiden, Asmoday aka the Heavenly Principles, and very likely Murata will be Himeko expy and Bronya will be the tsaritsa)
And just recently i found out Luocha is actually Otto Apocalypse. I am thinking Desheret/Irmin could be an Otto expy, which would explain why the twins look like him and might be related to him.

Aside from ambitions, identities, constellations, and Teyvat's laws, are their own faces somehow very important and can physically affect sentient beings on Teyvat as well?

20:10 exactly, been thinking of this for a while too, all these groups essentially want to take out celestia, they are going about it in a fairly evil way, but, I think we will have to work with them to fight off the bigger threat.
I really hope eventually, there will be another "khaenri'ah level event" that celestia tries to start, and we will have to stop it, alongside the abyss/fetui/archons/ maybe even the people from the nation.
I mean how cool would a avengers level team up be where you have a whole army of playable characters fighting against celestia in a war for the existence of Teyvat, THAT would be an epic finale.
also it makes me wonder if we will ever get a "11 harbingers" of the abyss, I mean we know so little about the organization, apart from a few key members, they could certainly be saving them for the bigger antagonists between the fetui and celestia. I hope eventually they do introduce some key important top level characters from the abyss. Since they could be all sorts of humanoid/monsters/ half and halfs, they could have some crazy designs.

Hi Bran. I found your video recently since I just get back to Genshin after stop playing the game after pulled for Venti in 1.0. Dont asked me why. hehe. I just watched this video and find your theory about everything comes back to mondstat is interesting. and I am here with couple of interesting topic to share with you. Hope you can read and think about it. It is a little bit too long thou. Sorry :D
    Think about it
In mondstat, I think if I am not mistaken, it has the highest population of hilichurl, not the total amount but as area per spawn ratio since mondstat is quite small even if you take into account dragon spine, the area feels more populated.
There are a lot simpler reason why Hoyo made it like that which in game design perspective, Hilichurl is the most basic enemy and it suits the game progression to have people learn the combat using the most basic enemies.
However, maybe this is too stretch but if Hoyo really want mislead us on the whole world building and combat progression aspect, Khanreah maybe come from Mondstat all along.
Think again, Hilichurl is Khanreah cursed civilian. Where are they come from? definitely from Khanreah. So, if we ignore the fact that they are basic mob for combat progression aspect, it makes less sense if there are a lot of them in Mondstat and not somewhere else if let say they spread across the world. It also does not make sense that only in Mondstat that people there have a way to communicate with them, see their reaction and sort of having coexistence with Hilichurl.
Other thing is.... from all "DLC" area being release in Genshin, ie, Dragon spine, Desert, Enkonomiya, Chasm..... Dragonspine seems a little bit odd to include in the group. Why?
In all other area except Dragonspine, there are structures which really resemble Khanreah architecture thou they are not Khanreah. Which means, Khanreah is not there or we assume not from those places. However, in Dragonspine, not only we dont have that kind of structure, we also dont have underground section of the main map in Mondstat while other region all have underground city or civilisation of some sort (if you consider the pyramid underground part of 'Underground' area).
Which makes me wonder, what if Khanreah have been in Mondstat all along. Remember, the first cutscene and instances that the Twin watch us is when we are fighting monster in Mondstat which although it is not strong, imply that we are close to them. Considering if Khanreah is the main base for Abyss Order, the Twin can take a bit of walk or teleport to see us is not far fetch. Maybe Twin can just teleport to wherever place they want but it is possibility.
And.. the first instance we talk to Dains is in Mondstat. The interlude section comes after Liyue which if we consider chronologically, we should be in Liyue and meet Dains there to make sense in real world travelling timeline sense. But we go back to Mondstat and met him there instead.
It is interesting indeed. Maybe this all is far fetched as you say but it is interesting indeed.

I saw Ashikai pushing the Deshret/Kaveh connection. While there is some merit to this theory, Kaveh's, and Deshret's personalities are kind of nothing alike.
Desret was this big brain genius, who played the long game, and was insanely clever, founded, and ruled a civilization (or two if he was king Irmin too).
Kaveh cn't even figure out how to adult, without Alhaitham's help he would be living on the streets. He is was literally called an empath by Alhaitham. He is very sensitive, and makes decisions based on his emotions. Because of his selfless nature, people constantly take advantage of him, and he cn't even stand up for himself.
How does Kaveh resembles Desret, the king of warriors, who was assertive, possessed unshakable will, and was a strong handed leader?
In tje game Kaveh symbolizes human emotions, sensibility according to his character stories.

Meaning we wont side for celestia (or dain at the very least), which makes us an "ally" of abyss order, and the fight against dain is inevitable. I don't think the Abyss and the Fatui will join sides in the end. I think they both are using different methods for the same thing, and when you think one is finished the other kicks into gear. We also know that Pierro also knows why Khaenri'ah fell while Edie didn't. Pierro claimed it was due to some action they did, likely using the sibling. The Abyss seems to heavily believe in the goals with the sibling while Pierro thought it was nearly heresy.
It's hard to say exactly what will happen, but I think it's very likely we will be siding with the Fatui against the Abyss. This quest also showed that the Abyss and the sibling both believe in the idea of doing the task any way possible. The Fatui don't seem to think the same, their moto is more "if we won't then who will?" They both have a heavy desire for their goals, but the Fatui tend to be more tactful and only do what is necessary while the Abyss think any risk is worth the reward.

    • @RGA301092
      @RGA301092 Год назад +1

Even if Abyss Order and Tsaritsa/Fatui have a similar goal (overthrow Celestia), the effects are way different.
Also, Abyss Order hates ALL gods (both Archons and Celestia), and Abyss is corruptive and toxic to nearly everything that isn't the Abyss. They will NOT work with Tsaritsa (especially since Tsaritsa was there in Khaenrian when it got destroyed), and Tsaritsa probably would inherently oppose the Abyss because it's toxic to her and her people.

    • @Skylancer727
      @Skylancer727 Год назад

@@RGA301092 yeah and again, the Abyss seem aligned with the original goals of Khaenri'ah while Pierro seemed to be disgusted by whatever he saw them planning. They clearly do not align.
I do think Pierro is planning something completely out if character for the fatui, but I don't think it aligns remotely with the Abyss. Remember that all fatui have goals they're seeking and many go against the ideals of the others. As of right now we still have no idea what he wants other than his lines in the trailer suggesting defying the gods.
If I had to make a guess, Pierro probably is a believer in the old Khaenri'an ideal of humans no longer needing gods similar to Keqing while the Abyss see them as in their way of power and knowledge. We also know the Abyss also seems fanatical over the sinner suggesting an innate desire for knowledge and power over all else. It would also align with the sustainers claims of leveling Khaenri'ah due to "the arrogation of mankind". Arrogation usually means a reckless or unwarranted claim of something. It also sounds like it could be that Khaenri'ah made or summoned the twins as the cataclysm happened only briefly afterwards. We still don't have a solid lead exactly what's happening and the issue of fabricated memories and history doesn't help.

A fun thought I had, why not say that Caribert is like the first existence of a new being that has both the Primordial one and the Sinner powers to regrow the lost population of Khaeriah as regular mortal with no immortality and no Hurlichurl, AKA the loom of fate. Also relate to how the twin always talks about how they found a way to bring back Khaenriah, probably through Caribert's lineage. Maybe that's why Dain is not a fan of this idea, being a true Khaenrian and having this Frankenstein as the new Khaenriah is probably very offensive to him and wish to never bring back Khaenriah. The Abyss probably spent years struggling to win this war and somehow Kaeya ended up being the last surviving descendant of Caribert, thus why his dad said he's their last hope.

Edit ; it could be a possibility considering « we » passed out for a while and then woke up to Clothar alone. He could’ve had the time to bury his son didn’t he? I can’t help but think Caribert died back then, and a new « loom of fate » is coming/in the making?

Desheret is Emperor Cyrus I of the Achaemenid Empire of ancient Persia, not Solomon.
Although if he's both, then Dehya makes more sense as a descendant because her namesake of the Berber Moroccan warrior-queen Dihya is sometimes thought of as having been Jewish / from a Judaized tribe

Personally I don’t watch Ashikai’s lore videos cause she considers every piece of info as a theory and not a fact which confuses me a lot. Yeah sure her videos are great but confusing to me. Personally I prefer Catwithbluehat, an extremely underrated lore channel that points out the facts and theories separately without mixing them up.
For those who are confused, watch this video: ruclips.net/video/NuCO-ZGrWU8/видео.html

8 Months later on the Video here 😅
If we go back all the way to Liyue, there had Zhongli meantioned that there still exist Gods other than the Archons on the Planet(Deshret having been probably like the Twins another Star that came down), became drained of their original Power and gaining the Power of all Elements, reclaiming his Godhood.
The Sinner could also be the Dragonking Nibelung who was chained up below Irminsul while Deshret could have been the third Descender who died at the hands of the first and second descender to create the Gnosis
