      Would be awesome to see a proper bass player try out the hotone ampero mini!

    I tour and perform locally with mine. I’ve developed an amp/cab tone that I send direct to front of house and it sounds amazing in my in-ear mix. Useful in amp or no amp situations as I can send my bass signal to my Ampeg pre-cab sim while sending front of house the cab sim signal. Keeps things very consistent. Another extremely useful feature is the transpose effect, with which I can drop a half or full step whenever needed without retuning my bass or bringing multiple basses to shows. I could go on and on, but suffice to say that the Quad is the last pedal I’ll ever need.

    Glad to see my Heritage 50th capture getting some use! Going to be adding more captures of it soon. 4:42

    Erik Arko has gotta be the bassist I’ve seen using this the most, that dude usually knows what’s going on. So makes sense he helped with this !

    Fantastic video Patrick! I recently bought a Quad Cortex and was wondering if it would be way too much for me but once I sat with it for a bit and learned how to use it, I have made so many great tones so it was definitely one of the best purchases I have made. Now I am patiently waiting for Parallax X to be released in a future patch 🙂

    I'm a bassist that is currently using an HX Stomp... mainly for modulation-type effects. I'm interested in a Quad Cortex because of the additional foot switches and large display screen.... From what I've seen, the interface is amazing, compared to the HX Stomp... (HX Stomp is fine while I'm at my computer using HX Edit) --- Here's my question: IF you are a bassist using a conventional head/amp, how are you using your Quad Cortex? in front of amp, in effects loop, 4CM, etc... I don't use a pedal board. ...just the one HX Stomp multi-effects pedal. I know this may be a newbie question - I'm still learning. Thanks everyone!

    Awesome demo as always, Patrick. 😎🤘🏻🎸 this multi-effects processor sounds killer. And I also like sweetwater. I like their excellent service on musical gear and their. Of course with the candy they give out for each order, they don’t call themselves sweetwater for nothing 🤪😂 they’re an awesome online music store.

    First music was downloadable, now gear is downloadable, how soon until playing talent is downloadable?

    Does this quad cortex replace you bass amp or does it plug into your bass amp? What am I missing?

    Gret demo. Nave you connected speakers to QC? How would that sound for bass?

    In terms of sound quality, heard this at the hx/helix stuff already.

    I love mine! But compared to the HX Stomp it's definitely lacking bass amp, cab and effect models. And the neural captures are fine but they are not very flexible

    • @ileutur6863

      Idk maybe that isn't a bad thing. Neural DSP has a baked in sound that I just set up and go, meanwhile Helix makes me tinker for hours to the point where I don't even know if I like my sound

    • @JonesHess
      @JonesHess 3 месяца назад +1

      @@ileutur6863 true, I just think it’s kind of ridiculous that they put 40 different captures of an Aguilar amp instead of an actual model. Just as an example.

      How flexible do you want them?

    • @JonesHess
      @JonesHess 2 месяца назад

      @@Bluebear2016 like the amp models that are included, with the same controls as the real amp. With the Neural Captures you just get a fixed sound from the amp or pedal and changing the default gain and eq settings does not represent how the real thing would react.

      @@JonesHessDoing 40 captures is a lot easier than creating an amp model.

    I think this thing sounds really good. But for myself i would be messing with parameters more than i would be playing the bass. I bought the darkglass photon because of the video you did. It's got me playing and practicing a lot more because it sounds good and i don't have to mess around with it too much.

    Since I always root for the underdog, I'm sure there are many multi-effects and amp modelers out there that get the job done for a fraction of the Q Cortex price. Expensive toy.
