How can there be negative comments!?!? These guys just performed a live version of a Beatles songs that’s just looped tape recordings/samples. the Beatles probably thought this couldn’t be performed live!
I think it’s probably the amount of time it took us to do the set up. People don’t realize we’re actually recording those loops live and reversing/pitching them to approximate the original 😅😂
I down voted it because in order for there to be a positive there has to be a negative. So it's necessary in order to play off the opposing pole. And anyway, my parents made me this way. Just kidding. I really enjoyed this...!
Great! This song is difficult to cover. Your performance and arrangements are very good. I have 69 and when I first heard this song I was 12 and it sounded weird to me. But I liked it anyway because I was already a Beatles fan. After 2 or 3 years I begin to like it better and better because I was listening to other psychedelic songs. I hope you have a good life.
Wow! I wish I'd seen this live. This must have been a bear and a half to do the arrangement and think out how to perform the elements of this! Thank god for loopers and delays!
@@javierdiaz88 hey, I’m the guitarist. My bandmate (the bald guy walking around with a microphone) was looping using Ableton Live with a foot controller. He set it up to reverse and pitch up all the loops to the proper speed (based on the original Beatles tape loops) when he pressed a button. Not sure how he did that, though!
This is probably the BEST COVER of TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS I've been lucky enough to stumble upon. I love the opening. Some bits reminded me a bit of Talvin Singh's Butterfly. You guys did an amazing cover. Thank you!
Hats off guys. The original song pioneered tape loops I think and has inspired many artists today using these techniques which, back then, on 4 track, was... revolutionary
Great stuff! Obviously, the Beatles did a TON of music in the studio that they had no way of pulling off live. I would imagine they would approve of this version and be very impressed.
What an wonderful surprise! ! Thanks for posting. Just amazing an amazing sound. I love the original but love when bands play a well know song and make it their own.
Must've been fun as phuck to play. Everyone has to be grooving without forcing it. Hard to stay focused when you're part of something way bigger than you
hey there! curious, would you mind if I did a react/"mindful music review" of this cover? :) I attempted a review video of another beatles tune and it got blocked before it even posted - I thought reaching out about covers could be a fun alternative :D
Masterful interpretation and performance of a Beatles classic. Can you imagine that there are people who have never heard this song? Poor, culturally deprived children! You must have blown their minds. Lennon would have dug it!
if anyone wants to hear how this really can sound, check out the guy on here who does it all with just a chapman stick. prepare to have your jaw dropped
Well, I am personally mad for TNK....(I have an excuse...a guitar player....thought I'd played all the variations. Nope.) Exquisite.....insanely good vocal.....
Agree! I’m the guitarist in the band. I’m afraid the first four minutes may have turned some people off. We were actually reconstructing the tape loops that Paul McCartney used in the original by playing each of the parts (on guitar, French horn, laughing into a mic) and then reversing the sounds and pitch shifting them live with a computer program! This was our first attempt covering the song, and it took longer to make all the samples than I hoped. We tried to make an interesting psychedelic soundscape out of it, but it’s not for everyone lol. There’s another video where we got there a little quicker, but this one seems to be the one that caught on. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@MilesGannett Don't get me wrong. It was a good cover after the first 4 minutes and the singer sounded much like the Beatles Lennon when she used the bullhorn. You were great on guitar!
@@jamesvredenburgh5957 looks cool! I will check it out! I'm a big fan of June 1, 1974 with Eno, Kevin Ayers (LOVE LOVE LOVE KEVIN AYERS), John Cale, and Nico. Heard that one?
Not trying to reinvent the wheel. Just taking it for a spin, both to pay homage to the original and because you don't hear that one performed live often.
THE PAUL LAUGH/BIRD OMG
Wow... I could just imagine, stopping in that bar and having a beer. And then witnessing this masterpiece. Great job.
Kudos! That’s a tough song to play live and you did a great version

Los Lobos did an awesome version years ago, too.
@vikinghigh Los Lobos' version is absolute live perfection! Next level.

This is the most insane cover I’ve ever seen in my entire life, wow wow wow
You just took my mind to third base
Only a minute in, but: The Beatles mixed with Pink Floyd
I have just two words to describe my reaction: "OUTTA SIGHT!!!!!" Thank you Fractal Cat Band.
hope that was in a bar in a recreational state....
This cover is incredible. This is by far my favorite Beatles song and you guys did it justice beyond comprehension!!

Great cover of a song immensely difficult to play as a live ensemble.
This is a difficult song to cover but you guys are very impressive!
Appreciate it!
Great cover.
Gorgeous. You are beauty, the body electric, human creativity personified. Thank you.
wow! Very impressive to get the sounds recorded and mixed right there. Plus the guitarist had to play a solo that was recorded backwards. Incredible!

Singing through the bullhorn was perfect for this song!
Loved being able to see this live. Fantastic set up! Cosmic vibe. Went there.
Excellent interpretation of one of The Beatles must difficult interpretation. Great cover.
Good cover, but how about cutting that intro in half?
This ^
Request denied. Be quiet and listen.

Wow this could, should have been longer. Man I'm blown away. This 1 and Juliet Prowse are my favorites.

Sorry I'm coming in so late on this - just found it. You guys rock. John would love this I'm sure.
if you know how this song was created then you know how complicated it must have been to plan it live. The song was only ever mixed in studio.
Impresionante!!!
Could've done without the four minute abstract intro, but otherwise, its good.
I liked that
cool version, i love this song from my beatles :-) 4ever
