Could you elaborate on using ModPodge so the paint doesn't bleed? [First Project]
When using stencils, I love to put a layer of mod Podge down all over the stenciled area, and let it dry before applying the actual paint color. It helps prevent bleeding.
Some people use the same base paint color.

Kendra, I wish you would really go online and check the safety using the treated wood in crafts. I did when I was given old pressure treated wood. You can use it but you have to take safety precautions. I didn't use the wood because of that. And one thing I want you to know that that wood that was made in 2004 and before used arsenic. So please check this out. For me it wasn't worth it for me. And when I see you sand the wood makes me worry so much for you. They say you should use a big respirator when sawing and sanding. I like you so don't really want you to get sick.

Most of the warnings were not to eat off of it, or let the water that runs off of it leach into your drinking water supply.
I always wear a mask and glasses when sanding all wood, because the particles drives me crazy… in my eyes and up my nose… plus safety.

Hello! I love your channel and creative ideas! In this video I noticed that you used some treated wood for some of your projects. I have heard that it's not safe due to the chemicals and wondered if you have heard that, too?
Hello. I have heard that. I am guessing as old as the wood is, and the sanding would eliminate some of it… it has never been a big concern for me. Of course if it concerns you, please don’t use it. Maybe the DIY will inspire you in some way to create something beautiful of your own… ❤️

Most of these DIYs were done last year… I haven’t ever used Dixie Bell’s dirt (unless I forgot! Lol) I’ve used a couple of their paint shades though.
If you can remember the project you saw me use it on, maybe I can help.
Also, fun fact, when I was in the 4th or 5th grade, I started spelling my. And with an “i”… my teacher questioned me, I remember saying my mom lets me spell it either way. It was such a lie, I cried later and never spelled my name differently again. 😂 kids!

I love how you did the "thankful" sign! I think I've DIYed a similar sign (maybe a different word) but the way you took it apart was way easier! And I love the color blue you painted it; it was a great pairing to the paper you chose.

Hello friend! If you are referring to the cup, it had a “plastic” finish to it. My experience with those MDF pieces and sanding the finishes off are not fun… but it’s a great idea when it works…. Because I do love my orbital sander!
