Good series. Gotta question. What do you recommend for a good macOS SMB file server layer? The Apple Sharing pane is kinda limiting and now that systems are shipping macOS Mojave as the default, we have lost the granular control of file permissions. Any recommendations? Seems like a giant gap Apple left for small businesses.

macOS Server has been dead for the past 4 years. Most Apple Consultants are not using or installing it for clients.

It is sad Apple has gotten to this point with server. For some to just be able to use it as a device management system is basically all that is left.
