3:46 I'm upset that no one bothered to mention Aerith's name. >;-C 12:46 "I love Cloud", never thought I would hear that from Sephiroth! O_O 13:24 Sephiroth saying Barret and Tifa's names!
I had a streamer say that they had to be TOLD that it was a new VA for Sephiroth ... because to him the new guy sounds the same... He is NIGHT AND DAY different... George's voice gets this resonant, deep sound that shakes you to your core ... new guy sounds like he's literally just ... reading his lines...
And it's part of Sony's shady business deals to lure the gamers into the unpopular CW shows and use "Superman is still voicing Sephiroth" propaganda. What a perfect marketing opportunity.
@@R0B5e55or001 i love old cast of final fantasy vii and i think you love them too. I see your comments in every video about comparing the voice cast. I admire your tenacity. Never seen someone who really cares about voice cast till i saw your comments. Although i wanted to thank you about the time that you mentioned in comments here. Hope you get whatever you want in life.
I never knew Steve and Geroge were such close friends. That's very wholesome. Seeing this as their characters, Cloud definitely broke the bro-code by having Sephiroth as his bestie lmao
I enjoyed myself watching this, but I've seen this a few times when Steve feels bitterness letting go of Cloud. I get it and I understand being with a character for 17 years, however I would like to see him happy. I love both actors from Advent Children, early Crisis Core, and Kingdom Hearts. I love the actors from Remake and Rebirth. I'm not crapping on them, just an observation. Steve and George came into this blind not knowing how big these characters and the game are. Plus being an actor they had other things to do. Versus the actors and actresses now do research and have played the game early on. So they can dive deeper into their characters. I love it. There's even a few that play the games. So I was a bit confused when Steve mentioned actors don't research. I love both actors old and new.
As somebody who has played Remake and Rebirth a TON at this point, I do like the new voice cast a lot. Tifa, Barret, Yuffie- all are basically straight upgrades. No offense to the original actors. Cody and Steve do sound remarkably similar in my opinion, but it begs the question of why even make the change? I also have to say that I do rather like Tyler’s take on Sephiroth as well, but it’s a VERY different style. I think George is best at the more menacing roles with Sephiroth- Advent Children, Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts- but I like Tyler for Sephiroth in Crisis Core and Remake. Like the pre-god transformation of Sephiroth when he was more human than he ends up being. I presume that Dissidia and KH take place after FFVII, and so it matches that energy to me.
Still blows my mind they replaced them both, Cody isn't bad ( Still prefer Steve ) but Tyler Hoechlin is just not a good Sephiroth. He's definitely not better than George, and honestly, Tyler doesn't even really seem like he cares. He doesn't have Sephiroth or FF in any of his social media, he never goes to panels to promote Remake or Rebirth, never talks about Sephiroth or FF, and his performance as Sephiroth honestly comes off as " just another cheque ". I'm not saying Tyler Hoechlin is a bad actor by any means, he's a great Superman, just miscast for Sephiroth. George was a perfect fit, no idea what the devs were thinking letting him go.
Regardless, when I play FFVII Remake/CC:Reunion etc, I just hear their lines with Steve and George's voice in my head anyways 🤷♂ Sadly, it's the only option we have...
I asked that question. You feeling awkward and embarrassed is all you. I had that question when I was in high school around 2008-2009. You can ask them any question you want. Maybe other people will feel cringe when you ask them a question.

It proves how pointless the recasting is when the new ones (while they're not bad) had to imitate the original ones, and how they're technically given credit for the original's works. And yes, the originals are indeed missed.
No way. They all do things differently. You just need to pay attention and think about it. Cody Christian does an amazing job showing how Cloud's tough guy persona is just that - a persona. It's not who he truly is. John Bentley does the same thing, he really shows that Barret has layers, as opposed to the first one that was all tough guy. Some of the OGs are better, but the new ones are all amazing as well

The OG’s. “But I let you die.” Is a line that always stings in the best way possible lol
I think it would have been pretty funny if Rick Gomez was there during the first question and give Steve a look when mentioning Arieth.
Steve has a good voice for voice acting.. well both of them.
Both George and Tyler have played Sephiroth and Superman.

Thank you so much for this footage! I love Steve and George's instant friendship.
miss original voices😢
new voice💩
Don't see much of them anymore except for convention footage, sadly..
They're still fairly synonymous with their characters, in my book.
@@thesilentsiren They still go to conventions together even for this year. Their next con will be in Nashville for June 1-2 2024

Mark Ruffalo as Cloud?
That's a timeline somewhere out there. Maybe the Whispers can bring us there 😆
Would have been terrible
OMG his still sounded Cloud..
I wish that Steve and George will be voicing their FF7 characters in the next Smash Bros. game.
George Newbern He is the perfect voice actor to play Uchiha Madara
i wish them two were still in ff 7 r TTvTT
I would 100% pay for a DLC of them
For sure
Sephiroth Ghoul : Showing your back to the enemy, overconfidence would destroy you.
Cloud Strife : I'm your living legacy.
