Zila Hussain Khan is an Indian Sufi singer. She sings classical and semi-classical musical forms and performs in the tradition of Imdadkhani gharana. Born in Calcutta, she is the daughter of Ustad Vilayat Khan, a well-known sitar maestro. Having grown up on a diversity of musical genres and forms, Zila Khan had a flair for teaching music and holding music workshops for children in India and abroad.
Zila Khan is a dedicated composer and has selected many songs from Sufi and contemporary poets. She was featured in the multi-producers episode of Coke Studio @ MTV Season 2. She also enjoys the privilege of having received the Roll of Honour from the Prime Minister of India.

This ghazal is a combination of Persian n Hindi (not Urdu; Urdu came much later). Zilah Sahiba is the daughter of my favorite sitarist Ustad Vilayat Khan Sahib. Zilah has a strong voice that suits well with Sufi music, noteworthy of which is Madam Abida Parveen. Regarding the pronunciation as someone pointed out elsewhere, there are minor points here n there but those are excusable given that it is not Zilah language of conversation.
