Nope, when I was young, I followed my mother around when she would vacuum and lay there, just listening. I did they same thing with fans, heaters, hair dryers, etc. I thought that I was strange, but now I understand. Thanks for sharing.
Same here ,I d lay with my head against the hoover ..or take the Woolwich ferry across the Thames ,back and forth, sitting next to the engines room ..those sounds are elemental and wholly reassuring..as a child ,now as a man..same as with natural music ,the high wind in tall trees, or the rolling surf..
