    Because you might have more clout than I, I am sure they (Sheirin) would be more than willing to send you a piano to review to get the exposure you have given the Donner. Just a thought. Thank you for posting these valuable RUclips reviews, they are invaluable. Have a nice day.

      Took a look on Amazon doesn't look like it's available where I live (I also don't have room at the moment to review a furniture style piano - I live in a pretty small place

    Love the detail of this review! This thing sounds insanely realistic. But your mic is clipping frequently. Also your attack while playing is very punchy, would love to hear some more dynamic range in the demo. Heading over to watch your full review! Interested if you've found any cons after owning it for a while.

      Hi there! Mic clipping might have just been from me not paying close enough attention to the gain on my audio interface (or from my “beginner” status on piano ;). The action is also quite a bit heavier than I prefer/am used to so I might have been a tad out of control at times.
      Only things that come to mind as far as cons would be having to reach to the back for the power and volume (they could have hidden that on the bottom, but not the end of the world); the bigger one for me is the lack of an aux in port to stream backing tracks to play along with/online lessons etc from my iPad. To do that I need a mixer, more cables etc

    Excellent review! I love the retro-60s look! Looks so much like the furniture I grew up with in those days. Without the DSP I'm used to in keyboards, I'm still impressed with the resonance and depth of sound. You don't really miss it for a strictly piano tone. The sampled piano sound is surprisingly authentic, just like a real piano. Arthritis in my left hand forced me to transition from decades of guitar to keyboard in 2019, so the heavy action would be a challenge for me, but maybe great for someone who plays acoustic piano and has those strong piano fingers. :) I have to use touch-sensitive keys.
    The Donner digital piano is a wonderful instrument.. I kinda like the 800 tones on my PSR-E473, though, but truthfully don't use 80% of that keyboard's capabilities. With this Donner piano, it makes me wish for more low-end keys and that rich beefy bass sound.. This instrument is amazing...as well as the price for something so nice. Looking forward to your in-depth review :)

      Thanks a bunch! Yeah I’ve gotten used to lighter and lighter action, so this one takes some getting used to. Another thing I’ve noticed I didn’t mention yet is that even though it’s not real hardwood or anything, the body is a lot denser than a plastic one, and with the 40 watts of speaker power, you actually get some discernible resonance from the body - not to the level of an actual piano but much more so than a plastic one - the speakers really sound awesome.

    Does it has escapement?

    • @PianoTone

      No not at this price - the only piano I know of with escapement under $1000 would be the Roland FP-10 piano.

    how long does it take to ship?

    • @PianoTone
      @PianoTone  2 года назад +1

      You would have to check with Donner / Amazon on that; I'm assuming if Amazon in your area says it is in stock then it should ship reasonably quickly? You can also check Donner's site and there is a spot to choose what country and then it should show you if there is stock available.

    The Donner logo on the music stand ruins the appearance. Any music book needs to be placed there at all times. The logo makes it look cheap. That said the rest of the piano looks sleek for someone who wants a nice piece of decor.

      It is a very sleek looking piano; I think all manufacturers tend to have logos front and centre - would be cool if they all kept them a bit more “out of view”. I’ve seen an option for this Donner where you can buy a custom laser engraved music rest with your own artwork/logo/text that looks super cool - I may have to check that out thanks for checking out the channel feel free to subscribe

    Ughh another 'non-sponsered' review 😭 This piano looks amazing but it so hard to find real owner reviews...

    • @PianoTone
      @PianoTone  6 месяцев назад +2

      Yes they did send it to me to review, but my opinions were honest. Looks great, action is heavy (too heavy for my liking but that's a personal choice), unique concept - only 1 voice, no other functions (basically the same functionality as an acoustic piano only you plug it in; so if you're looking for simplicity, this is it).
      I will add though; it seems the price of this bounces around a LOT which isn't a great thing-I've seen it for anywhere from $650 USD to $1000 USD (which is FAR too much)

      @PianoTone Thanks so much for the additional info. If only there were also long-term reviews to get a sense of how such a newcomer to the digital piano world fairs with time.. Cheers and keep those great reviews coming 👍
