15 Oldschool Runescape Ironman Tips & Tricks | #1

- Hey everybody, welcome back! Here's a new type of video for the channel - let me know what you think! A few weeks ago, I sent out a straw poll asking viewers what series they'd be most interested in watching, and the #1 response was an Ironman Tips & Tricks series!
Since then, I've been able to compile nearly 60 low-level Ironman/Hardcore Ironman/Group Ironman account tips. Coincidentally, Jagex has recently teased the new Trailblazer League, and a good portion of these tips could be useful for that! To keep the videos at a digestible length, I've split them up into 15-tip segments, so this is only Part 1 of 4! Stay tuned!

A few weeks ago, I sent out a strawpoll asking you all what series you'd be most interested in watching, and the *#1 result* was an Ironman Tips & Tricks video. I've compiled nearly *60 Tips* so far, and to keep the videos to a digestible length, I've split up the first series into 15-tip segments. After low-level, we'll move on to medium, and so on.
Timestamps are common but literally summarizing the whole video is underrated. GJ on the quality!

@@TheFX just getting here but I only just started as Ironman and learned I knew nothing about this game so thanks. Really helped me get a proper start, instead of just killing rock crabs for hours
Tip: Don't get too attached to your cat, as it will make it harder to trade it in for death runes later.

Wait where can I trade it in for death runes? It’s sat in my bank since I got it lol, and my mage pure is broke.
@@ForeverJade.D In West Ardougne you can use him on any Civillian (once fully grown) for 100 death runes (200 if Ardy medium is completed). This only works for fully grown cat, and if your cat has turned into a hellcat you can use a bucket of milk on him to turn him back into a normal cat.
I know this was asked a while ago but I'll reply in case this helps anyone else!

Thank you so much for this! Starting a first ironman account and returning to the game after I quit in 2007/8 😌
An even better alternative to snakeskin boots are the shayzien boots 5, you can easily heal guards to 86 favour (or if you have higher stats fight organised crime (great loot btw)) and then kill the soldiers in the fighting pit. 20 defense needed and give 4 ranged bonus
You can also pick the pineapples next to brimhaven dungeon and note them with the leprechaun nearby.
That's news to me. Mind if I use that in a future vid? With credit, of course. I'm editing Tips & Tricks #3 now, but I'll still need some more for #4!
Tip 11 is op. Just used it after hunting out in the wildy to cook my kill.

Tip: You can make snakeskin boots/hat/shield by killing the hoop snakes on fossil island. That's what I did.

@TheFX Just a tip for the early thieving tip, Kourend isn't the best place if you have a slight chance of being caught. This is because the eastern most tile on the north side of ardy bakery is 100% safe from any aggro. So you can loot an entire inventory whilst AFKing.

8:26 NO, the bast place to steal cakes is on ardougne bakery stall under the npc that sells cakes etc, you never get caught there!

This is so oddly specific when it comes to picking up random items during said quest---not gonna remember ANY of that. But thank you for the general tips! Made my first ironman account a couple days ago, been playing very casually on mobile🤗

The ardy cake stall you can now stand under the baker and steal and never get caught. It used to not be this way but for some reason you can now do it. And its much easier to get to than the Zeah cake stall.

someone mentioned potion seller, there's basic atk def and str pots for sale in warrior's guild as well as the superpotatoes :) the guild also has a less known weapons shop on one of the floors useful for selling cyclops drops for high alch price.

i think theres a tip that should be known before even starting a iron-thing. get a membership or your gonna hate it basically.

Yo solo wt does help with amazing construction xp rates. I got 71 construction getting to 99 soloing wt. As well as 68 fletching! Sure it takes longer soloing Max points but I loved the rewards and xp rates

For ironman, if you don't wanna wear rune go straight to granite. It's like 90k and only armor from barbarian assault you don't spend points on.
you're going to need dragon slayer lol it's better to suggest it for it's pure defensive bonuses

Shaiyzen (5) boots are better than snakeskin as well.

Hi! I'm completely new to runescape, will be doing a challenge for a ironman speedrun with a friend that has been playing for over 15 years. Can anyone help me with a complete guide to win the race of getting the highest combat stats ("PK ready "his words).

Tip: Level you fishing from 63 to 65 at Karambwanjis which is the bait for Karambwans. I did that and I had about 180k Karambwanjis when i hit 65 fishing, thats about 60k Karambwans assuming each takes three baits to catch. This takes about 15 hours, but most of the early game grinds are around the 15 hour mark like graceful set etc so should not be a problem :P

doritos and fritos burn because they're hydrocarbons. Has nothing todo with how many calories are in the food.
that mage tutor wont let me drop and get more. she says something about she works with the range tutor and people cheat her or something
If you claim from one you cant claim from the other for another 30mins ... just so the mage tutor and you should be fine

Overlapping quests is great in theory, but need quite a bit of game knowledge or a fair bit of research time. For me its not worth it as the time investment I'd have to put in would probably end up longer than if I just did them one by one
Absolutely. For those who've played off an on since the early RS2 days, it's a lot easier to do than for those who are newer to the game in general. Many players have played standard accounts for years and look for tips before trying out an ironman account, so some tips are geared toward that. I wanted to include more obscure tips so I'm not just repeating the same thing that other videos do.
