It's an overly choked intake and exhaust.
It robs tons of power, and causes a considerable lag in throttle response.
It's blowing my mind how good your review is!?🤯

How easy would that be to rectify?

    • @motorsforthemasses

You have to remember the style of bike it is. It doesn't need to accelerate like a sports bike but pulls well enough for the type of bike it is.

What's not to like? Triple disc brakes with ABS and a goodly sized fuel tank are excellent to have! I don't mind a relatively quiet exhaust as listening to a loud set of pipes on a ride sucks after a few minutes of it. A tiny tank cruiser is a waste of my time and this bike has a tank capable of taking you further than to the petrol pumps and back home. YES! The backlit controls are a nice touch too!
I personally do not care much for the mono-chrome instrumentation and have been that way since the '82 920 Virago, which honestly looked better than does this bike's setup. Here in the bowels of Commiefornia USA we do not (yet?) have a dealer (that I am aware of) but we do have CFMoto dealers and I have met a few very happy owners of that marque. These Chinese motorbikes should be thought of in the same vein as when the Japanese first came to our shores in that they are very AFFORDABLE and not junque (note cool high-brow spelling!). I do not know a thing about this brand but it appears well made and I know that the aforementioned CFMoto owners I spoke with were very pleased with their rides.
Is there a risk involved in buying Chinese? Certainly. But there is a risk to buying anything even Japanese, Austrian, Italian, Indian (both India the country and Indian the marque!) and HD. If it turns out you don't like your ride you are going to lose your buttocks selling it. In the long run, any bike is going to depreciate so I buy with long term ownership in mind. Given the current financial zeitgeist/climate nothing is holding its value. Not Harley. Not Honda. Not Guzzi....Not kidding. A motorbike isn't an investment in anything but yourself. Look into the total cost of ownership, i.e., maintenance, fuel economy, initial price, tires, insurance and anything else you might encounter.
Few folks look into the frequency and cost of valve checks/adjustments. Don't be surprised, find out ahead of time. Nothing sours riding a bike when you're counting down the miles to a costly valve check that happen every 3,500 or so miles. Look ahead because hindsight is only 20/20 if you don't have your head up your butt! The best part stying-wise is it isn't another Japanese HD ripoff. Kawacopys and Yamaha Starleys be damned, LOL!
Excellent review, sir! Thank you so very much!
    SS

I believe it is/has a full colour TFT dash - the reviewers camera wasn't doing a great job of showing that fact. At times you could see the rev counter showing green as it climbed up and down. The manufacturers website states it is colour.

An issue with US buyers would be the availability of aftermarket parts. I don’t know if this brand is even available here, but they would be wise to stock up on accessories. That is the part of owning cruisers that will let them down if they’re not prepared. Few US cruiser owner leave their bikes stock for very long. Harley and Indian probably make as much or more on accessories than on actual bike sales.

28:46 only issue with this is that for the cost you can certainly get a kawasaki vulcan 1700 for much less and certainly much more bike, granted that's 2nd hand, but still a great buy 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • @docthebiker

I'm a cruiser rider and you couldn't give me one. Not even new, never mind when the moulds wear out and Chinese cost cutting raises it's head. They've tried to reinvent the cruiser and failed, Cruiser design peaked around 2000, this is just fussy and ugly. Also with my prosthetic left leg a foot board you find perfect will not be right for how my ankle angles. As for driver modes. I have those on all my bikes. They are built into my right wrist, foot and fingers, left fingers and brain.
The only modern gizmo I want is DCT so I wouldn't need to adapt my geared bikes (which ironically absolutely requires modes with the clutch gone).

Imagine the cost of maintenance for a unique bike like that... Crazy.😮

The problem for me is I dont care how initially good they are. On more than one level I dont like they are made in China. But first as an owner it is simply parts availability. Wtf are you gonna do 1000 miles from home when your bike breaks down? Second pretty much every single "business" in China is state connected. I do not wish to spend multiple thousands of dollars on a product that directly benefits a govt that is openly antagonistic to mine. The big 4 or out the door.

    • @jimmythebeast8279
      @jimmythebeast8279 Месяц назад

Well sorry but the reason of your money going to china is beyond stupid. Dealerships pay their own money to buy these bikes, then they mark up and sell them to you. By buying one you legit benefit a UK dealer, since your money is being taxed and moved around in UK.
As for the big 4 or out the door.... As a yamaha/suzuki owner, the newest bikes are all made in Taiwan or China. You are just paying for overpriced parts. The design is stagnant and the technology in japanese bikes only just started catching up and look at the price they sell. A 500cc Hona Rebel costing almost 10k.... It's a joke. I'd rather buy the chinese/Italian and drive around in something that looks good and is just as reliable.

The size of the rear sprocket/pulley is ridiculous!😂 China is desperately trying to get what little horsepower this bike has, down to the road. No exhaust note because the engine is being choked. Try breathing in through your mouth, then exhale through a straw. That's what is going on with that underpowered joke of a bike.
