Low Voltage Battery issue seems to be a common issue in these cars, preventing full opening or closing of the roof mechanism, if the battery is old...... good luck. And if you get a firm FIX, please update and share your findings.
1. Let the engine run while open/close ( may battery capacity - i never open/close without runnung engine ! ), 2. Hydraulic Pump has enough fluid ( I had that problem - pls. watch my short cut to find it, take off & refill - pls. copy & translate the text ) or may the channels of it are blocked inside ( may rinse them trough ) ? 3. At the black hat rack ( goes rearside above into the trunk ) there´s a sensor on top to check for, 4. left & right inside the trunk there are black mechanic hinges on each side ( all screws fixed well ? ) they are not angled bent ?, 5. check all Sensor/Connector ( unfort. a lot ! ), 6. erase all fails through OBD, 7. DIFFCULT to find : brake on cable ( or may pouros/short circuit ) ? Mainly i guess there is a hydraulic problem ( as well as your electric-system seems working ) - finally ( i nearly don´t believe so ) but check the connected silver wire rearside the black movable partition wall ( left hand side in driving direction ) - it´s clipped on/not pouros/not worn out ? ( goes left hand side into the black hing - as well as a sensor inside ) - hope one of these could help - GOOD LUCK ! :) - let my knwo by answer if you like if one on these solved the problem - i hope for ! :)
SOLUTION : Basically i had the exact same problem with my 2005 tigra after about 5 car mechanics we finally found that is a sensor issue. My electrician - mechanic said that tried it many times and works fine (the car stayed one week with battery disconnect because i was traveling) but it will occur again and when it ocueres again to diaghnose it immediately to find out exactly which sensor is. I hope i help
