This is a brilliant video. I have always struggled to 'memorize' actions of this kind to a song. The trick as you have shown is to show it in 'slow motion' first'. Doing it this way enables you to take it in. I have just posted two songs of this kind which have 'actions' to the song. I belong to an over 60 club where gentle exercises are done at the start of the session (after a cup of tea and biscuit). I decided to spice it up a bit by adding at the end the gentle excercises the 'Hokey Cokey' song with actions. Also a song called "Superman" by Black Lace. The good thing about these two songs is the actions required in the dances are called out in the lyrics. Even then though, some people, I have seen, struggle to get the actions right. So I made videos of both of these songs plus an extra one of a song from my youth in the 60's, which hasn't got actions, but is a lot of fun to do and see. 110461
I LOVE your ideas!!! Breaking down the movements in a slow and steady way, with verbal cues really helps the learning process! And great for our physical and cognitive health! Keep up your great work❤ love, Sherry
This is so sweet. To the lady teaching, you wriggle more in the chair. Don't be shy to wriggle for real when you're standing!! 😁 It's beautiful for your core, hip and pelvis mobility, and for freedom in movement!! So, I dare ya xxx
I just found your videos. I could definitely use this, but more importantly, I am going to do this with my mother in law. She is quickly losing her mobility, and this will be good for both of us.
Hi Sharon! I'm so glad you discovered my fun dance videos! I just make moving and exercise fun because when it's fun, we do it more often! I hope your mother in law enjoys it!!! Love, sherry❤

Hi Sherry. I don't know if I will get a reply this late but just in case I'm an 89 year old gentleman a Ballroom ETC since 1946 & still dancing I love your wonderful videos & have introduced them to our senior home.but I'm puzzled about one thing in the chair macarena it is a mirror effect the pupils are facing you using the opposite hands is that so? I can't do it that way I always start with the right hand but I love them all.
Hi Leslie! Wow! I hope I am still dancing at 89! You are amazing! And very observant. Since this dance was part of my chair yoga class which I always teach mirroring. So yes this dance starts with the right hand but the students are more visual and they just follow along with me and thus are mirroring me. ❤ So happy you enjoy my dances. Come back up and when you need some joy in life!🎉
V G I discovered Chair Yoga dancing and I'm hooked! I've created 10 dances so far and more are flowing out of me! Check them out at www.Yogajptv.com. Oh.. I get many of my tops as gifts! My sis bought me this one! Blessings, Sherry

Image result for cha, cha slide DJ Casper originally wrote "The Cha-Cha Slide" as a step aerobics routine. You do such an excellent job in orchestrating wheelchair/seated exercise routines from popular musical scores that I was hoping that perhaps you had one for this line dance.
Thanks for the explanation. I never heard of that dance, but it sounds fun! I make up my movements based on yoga and it's physical benefits rather than "official" dance steps. No matter... dancing is fun no matter how it's done!!🥰
Hi Teti! Hi from California! I looked into the Asarehe song and it is very fast!!! I will see if I can come up with a #ChairYogaDance for it! Thanks for the suggestion! Love, Sherry
