This episode is for me. I’m not married yet but I about going into a marriage intended relationship. It before now I didn’t see any wrong in cheating, I had always thought it was the norm. Until I followed breadcrumbs (just like Claire said) and I found myself in a very uncomfortable situation (I had a thing with someone else and she later came to report to me and my partner’s (partner to be) pastor claiming that I raped her (she liked me so much that she was finding every way to break my friendship with this other person). It broke me and broke the other person. But one thing, I had opened up to this my partner about what I did (it really broke her) but when this lady came to report, my partner stood by me, she ensured the truth was known. I realized God used that situation to deal with me and to make me know that cheating is not an option in marriage (if I intend to go into a relationship with his daughter, the I can’t cheat on her). 5 months down the line (waiting for pastors approval to start a relationship) I have learnt a lot. Keeping loving this woman and if it takes longer to wait, I will.
Akah said “from your mouth to God’s ears”. Baby no 2 is definitely being formed 🤣🤣🤣 It’s how Claire always talks about another baby in these podcasts for me🤣🤣🤣
OMG! Claire and I really have the same mindset. Yes, if a man cheats, it is never you as a woman’s fault! This is were most women gets it wrong because in most African societies they’ve cooked up that narratives for women to believe with statements such as “what did you do” is like men are 💯 saints themselves. So as a woman never ever feel it’s your fault your husband cheated. A man is human just as you. Both man/woman have the will power to choose to do good or bad. But once the deed such as cheating is done. In the general misconception of our African mentalities, they suddenly blame the woman if the man is the one who cheated even if the woman cheats, it’s still the woman they’ll blame versus finding the root cause.
