This is the tour I saw Bowie on. He was magnificent. Cleanest toilets EVER for an outdoor gig. Cleaned with hot steamers, hot water, classy. He looked just like this. He wore a Panama hat and an apricot coloured suit. We all fell in love with him, under the serious moonlight.

If I’m not mistaken, Stevie Ray Vaughan played the guitar solo. Bowie saw him before he was famous and invited him to this recording session.

The whole "Let's Dance" album was produced by Chic's Nile Rodgers. He's an increadable musician and a brilliant producer. He also produced Duran Duran's "Notorious" album. He brings dance and funk to these icon's of music and is able to make magic for them.

In case anybody out there didn't know that Stevie Ray Vaughan playing guitar on that song Bowie asked him to go out on tour with him but he was just getting ready to unleash his solo career😊

Among the many things that stopped Stevie Ray from touring with Bowie was Carlos Alomar's outright jealousy. He even got Stevie's wife thrown off the tour because he accused her of having a coke habit (which was true but...really?). The last straw was Bowie's management wanted to pay SRV $300 a night. This was less than SRV was making with Double Trouble! So, they decided to part as friends but not band members.

@@John_Chu hey John thanks for the additional information really appreciate it had the opportunity to see Stevie Ray Live Twice lived in Orlando in the 1980s when he first became popular in a place called The Bob Carr 4th row Center seats sounded like there was two guitar players kept looking for the rhythm guitar and I also saw him in Tampa little larger venue Jeff Beck opened up and then they both jammed at the end seen a lot of great concerts with great guitar players Clapton Jimmy Page and others but never seen anything like Stevie live

SRV rehearsed for the tour but Bowie wanted it to be drug-free and SRV struggled with that. Then, late in the day, he - or his agent - demanded more money and so he was cut from the tour.

    Let's dance
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
    Let's dance
To the song they're playin' on the radio
    Let's sway
While color lights up your face
    Let's sway
Sway through the crowd to an empty space
    If you say run
    I'll run with you
    And if you say hide
    We'll hide
    Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall into my arms
    And tremble like a flower
    Let's dance
    Let's dance
For fear your grace should fall
    Let's dance
    For fear tonight is all
    Let's sway
You could look into my eyes
    Let's sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
    And if you say run
    I'll run with you
    And if you say hide
    We'll hide
    Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall into my arms
    And tremble like a flower
    Let's dance
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
    Let's sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
    Let's dance
    Let's dance
    Let's dance, dance, dance

What everybody missed about this video is the sociopolitical commentary. Bowie was very conscious and aware of what was going on around him. Here the song is about the bourgeoisie dancing and having a good time while the poor working class, the proletariat, struggles and toils. Not a lot of dancing for them. Great song and commentary.

Try "The Jean Genie" some time. It's earlier Bowie, but It's a great rock tune, and the video is awesome. I'm sure you'd love it. I don't think anyone has ever reacted to it, which is strange since it was a major hit in the early 70s, at least in Europe.

She's far of doing the same kind of music, she's doing Rock music. I'm following her since her first album and she just release a new song - Hit Your Knees. She collaborated with a group called Manchester Orchestra for her 2nd album, the most popular song of this group is The Silence, it's a very good song, If you want to react for this song, go for it. The silence, I am at this stage.
