I've seen more than a handful of individuals dismissively referring to Lana's language as random gibberish, but that's not really accurate. They didn't go to a huge effort to build an entire constructed language with extensive semantics and grammar, but it's not like she's just speaking nonsense. It has consistent context and meaning, and you can infer a lot from her interactions. Here's a basic summary in no particular order: qi'ai : "hello" qi'ai lang'na : "what is your name?" oh'na : "I am / my name is" mei'na : "okay / alright" ima : "stay / don't go" ima'qi : "come back / come here" pama'qi : "go over there / jump up there" olai : "come on / let's go / onward" qui'alo : "do it" (perform action e.g. cut cable / push something / climb inside / control a creature" di'yeh : "oh no!"
You don’t play Planet of Lana you experience it. Breathtaking scenery, emotional moments, and complex game mechanics are just a few of the many things that Wishfully Studios delivered on. They made their debut and produced something that won’t be forgotten anytime soon. I hope this game gets more publicity and to see more from them. 10/10 game for sure
This game was an unanticipated gem and the first to rival what Playdead popularized, though with a much more uplifting and soulful experience that isn't ashamed to wear its heart on its sleeve. I'm as jaded as they come and usually unimpressed when I'm being emotionally manipulated, but this game does it with such charm that I cried like a girl at times. 😂 The gaming world needs more of these kind of titles. 👍
Agreed. I love the Little Nightmares games as well, but after Playdead's Inside, there wasn't much that was close it their games in terms of beautiful art style, great animation, great sound and good story. This one was really enjoyable and I'm glad there was a positive ending to it. Plus I got to pet a little cat monkey thing.
I literally finished the game 2 minutes ago. By the help of this guide when my brain wasn't any help, I finished it! Let me say I love this game so much. I never had any big expectations but god damn it totally exploded my mind. The beginning was epic and then it was adventure while eventually finding out more about abilities and the story and stuff. Then the end is what shocked me the most! I was stunned and honestly I wish I could play the end for the first time again. The game was fricking awesome, I totally recommend!
That melody was so nostalgic for some reason with that sweet little melody like you've heard it somewhere before. I think it may have been a common motif in the score 2:45:17
It's unfortunately nothing special, sadly. It sort of taps into that Ori and the Blind Forest feel with the music, but there's very little of it - it's very repetitive, and the gameplay just gets stale very shortly after beginning, with the movement just slow and flat. I was disappointed.
It’s an amazingly beautiful game and tbh I enjoyed it. It’s very relaxing and it’s easy to immerse myself in it. I love this art style and would love to see more games that look like this, platformer or otherwise. I don’t usually like puzzles, but I really enjoyed the ones in PoL
You can stop your gameplay ay any random moment, take a screenshot and that would still make for an amazing background. The best 2D puzzle platformer by far! So beautiful, amazing soundtrack, great puzzles and the story for once isn’t cryptic. It has a clear narrative and the MC has clear goals. Absolutely loved it. Indie GOTY for sure so far! Esse jogo é uma joia perdida no gamepass, lindo demais, puzzles bem equilibrados, trilha sonora muito boa, paleta de cores espetacular, realmente muito bom.
How easy the game was, is a really good selling point because you dont want to interrupt the fluid of its story and experience. It would be easier to put down if it were more challenging
What a beautiful game, despite the simple game mechanics and story structure. The direction is amazing, alongside the visuals and the music the directors puts, for a story where i only understand the names, the audiovisual storytelling is good and i found myself emotionally attached to Lana and Mui, btw the song of the credits and the desert is beautiful
I found it and it’s absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! You were supposed to memorize the cave drawings earlier in the chapter! Who does that??? That really pisses me off that I wasted so much time on it🤬 ruclips.net/video/VwcNPMjINNU/видео.htmlsi=UTjYs-ZBLhrBFzAs
If you take a good look around the cavern there are symbols that help you decipher this puzzle in "left to right" order via hidden locations like under the rock ledge in the bottom left most area in the puzzle room.
I liked it… in begining constant running and slowness of ducking got a little irritating but once I started thinking of the game in comparison to the game “inside” I started to LOVE IT the telling of a story without words
I just realized when it’s night time in the village, when the giant sphere bots take a step there’s a sound delay, and I thought it was detailed enough!

The game looks great, but I'm somehow stuck at the sequence following 21:19. Instead of waiting on the cliff to push down the rope, the creature comes to me, then climbs back up and runs to the right without pushing down the rope. I've tried petting it/restarting, but it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something or was unlucky enough to run into a softlock bug?

1:04:00 Why is there a creepy demon goat face in the cloud? 01:35:15 That last one looks like the grim reaper a tortured and wailing person. 01:36:00 a flying saucer. Aliens? We apparently already came to this big planet from the earth in a star treck space ship, it showed. Why are the androids watching? 01:36:56 The first A bomb? So, with the power of magical glowing orb that grants us mind control over animals, we... perform an endless side scroller of basic puzzles, and little else for hours? And there is convenient, unguided technology laying around, allowing us to control enemies and things..... And, we have a totally domesticated wild animal that is very intelligent. 02:20:00 What's with the Egyptian music? 03:08:28 For an advanced civilization, they are easily manipulated by a primitive boy. And why are they collecting humans and putting them in rooms? 03:17:08 The "wild" animal with human intelligence takes over, defeats a star/core, absorbs its energy, and becomes master over the machines. None of this sounds right, safe, or good. I know they are supposed to be graves, but they look like two stone tablets with words on them, like the ten commandments or something is shat it makes me think of. If it were a grave sight, there aould be other graves. So, no real story or explanation, and no source of who or what sent the machines. It simply ends. Okay, so, humans sent a colony to a distant planet, they got stranded, and a massive robotic colony comes for them, and collects them, possibly to return them to earth, but the primitive humans (by means of a young boy and a god-like animal?) manage to take over the machines and continue living peacefully on plamet Lana. And earth is either in the dark about what happened, or destroyed.

Then when Mouie reached the yellow grass on the right side I pressed B again to stop him and hide him. After the machine stopped looking for me and turned from red to blue lights the machine then goes to the yellow grasses on the left. Then I held B again to get Mouie back on my side and I petted him with L2 and X.
i am scrolling through comment section to find out if this game is worth my time and I find yours. I can figure it out right away it's the theme song of the film "The Prince Of Egypt"
Just finished it. Great, simple story, puzzles were fine. Love to see a POL:2. Reminded me of the movie “Oblivion” and the old game from the 90’s “Flashback”. (SPOILERS) The portraits that were shown on the wall with the men and women, and the robot in a uniform I didn’t get and the babies on the factory floor-that was weird.
(SPOILERS) My take on it was that: Humanity fled Earth on a Colony/Generation ship and landed on the planet we see. AI was used to help establish the colony but something went wrong. Perhaps the AI decided that Humanity wasn't fit to oversee its own reconstruction and decided to take over. It could explain the portrait of the robot "Captain" as well the baby room and humans in pods near the end. To the AI, this was the best course of action, sheltering Humanity and organising them appropriately instead of simply assisting them in properly settling on the new planet.
