5H sang live. People posted live recordings from their performances weeks ago. There's even a mic feed video on RUclips. Ad-libs were added in post and some normal production clean up. Otherwise you'd hear noise from the crowd and the park.
@H4RMONY VEVO it doesn't change the fact that they were singing live. It also means the Ad-libs were added in post. The ad-libs from one recording would have to be added to the other. They could've removed the ad-libs during post. My guess is the engineers liked the ad-libs and cared more about the sound than the visuals. Splicing, merging, and other edits are a normal part of production cleanup when it comes to TV broadcasts. It's the audio team's job to create the best audio experience from the recordings. It doesn't take from the 5H's outstanding live performance.
