People don't even notice the difference between the whistle going and Trossard kicking it, he was already in the process of kicking it before the whistle went and he couldnt stop. And if you watch the direction of the kick, it was into the space where Martinelli was running into. He genuinely doesnt do it on purpose. And Michael Oliver who last season "didnt want to impact the game" when Kovacic took out both Rice and Odegaard with dangerous tackles, now cant give Trossard the benefit of the doubt and ruins this game for us

@@jackhe3209 Have you never seen a through pass before?😂 It always goes in front of the player. And if you look at where the ball goes, it goes out of reach of Walker and into the path of Martinelli who was making the run.
And it isn't about the Kovacic one affecting last season, its about the consistency, or lack thereof FROM THE EXACT SAME REF!!!
In fact, Szobozlai blatantly kicked the ball away last week vs Forest with no caution and he was on a yellow already and can you guess the referee that day? Michael Oliver in City Games:
    1) Offside goal given against Fulham
    2) Kovacic not getting sent off against arsenal after two studs up tackles
    3) Soft penalty in the Manchester derby
    4) Doku kung-fu kick in the liverpool game
    5) Graelish handball against Chelsea in the FA cup
    6) Now, trossard getting sent off for kicking the ball away when silva and doku did the same. Btw Oliver was also the referee in the liverpool game where szoboszlai kicked the ball in frustration.

Consistency is practically impossible to achieve considering most incidents are pretty unique and it is one person's opinion in a split second moment. What isn't impossible to achieve is common sense. Would anyone have been that bothered had Michael Oliver gone over to Trossard and COMMUNICATED a final warning? It keeps 11v11 while putting the ball in the players court, it's now up to him to make sure he toes the line. Personally I think for a second yellow card the threshold needs to be higher anyway given the advantage you get from having an extra man. Players are now being punished to the highest degree for natural reactions and the referees hide behind this idea of having no choice.........they do have a choice to keep the integrity of the game and feel the magnitude of a game via using basic common sense. Games are being ruined for these stupid overly pedantic laws.

No Rice and Trossard are NOT stupid. The rule is fuckin stupid. Hitting the ball away for timewasting is when one team is in position for a quick restart and then someone kicks it away intentionally.
The Rice one he didnt even know the ball was there, it touched him on his heel and he felt the ball and touched it with the outside of his foot and he got sent off.
Trossard one shouldnt even have happened coz 6 mins added time and that was in the 8th minute and Arsenal headed the ball out of the box and the whistle should have blown there. Trossard went up for a 50/50 and it was a foul then in the same motion he went to kick the ball towards Martinelli and he didnt even hear the whistle. Bernardo Silva was on the floor anyway so what restart did he delay exactly? Its a clear agenda against Arsenal.

Oliver personally hate Arsenal. This guy can't wait to enforce the letter of law when it comes to Arsenal. Martinelli 2 yellows in a minute, now Trossard, but he wants to keep 11 v 11 when Kovavic made bad fouls against Arsenal last season. Same ref did not enforce the letter of the law when a Liverpool player kicked the ball away against Forest.

Abbi saying Rice and Trossard are stupid lmao.. what’s stupid is people genuinely thinking players should be sent off for minor offences such as kicking the ball away delaying the restart by 5 seconds. You have to add context to all of these instances though... Doku is kicking it towards the defender going to take the free kick, Pedro was down 1-0 in the game, Szoboslai was in a crossing motion and was also 1-0 down. If you kick the ball away from a restart with the clear intention of delaying the game while tied or winning they will card you. Also Trossard led with his shoulder and barged through Silva, not even trying to head the ball. That is an idiotic thing to be doing and kicking it away

    • @shahriachowdhury9552
      @shahriachowdhury9552 11 часов назад +2

Trossard was also in a passing motion? he didnt aimlessly kick the ball, it was towards martinelli who was running down the line. The yellow was not given for the barging foul but for kicking the ball away, it is very unfair to Trossard to say he was wasting time when he already made his mind up about passing the ball and hit it between the refs whistle and when he kicked the ball.
You could argue the letter of the law is the latter of the law but given the numerous amount of times it happens in every match theres only been 4 yellow cards as a result of it, 3 Arsenal players and 1 United player.

He didnt even hear the whistle and carried on that phase of play where he thought he won the ball from the 50/50 with Bernardo. And to make matters even worse. There was 6 mins added time and this incident happened 2 mins later. Before that ball even lands, the ref should have blown his whistle coz Arsenal headed the ball out of their box meaning Citys attack is over and that should be HT right there.
