The Boss (Springsteen) My First memory of a Bruce Springsteen song… Dad was test-driving a car and I happened to go along. Windows were down, as we rounded the on-ramp. It was a sunny day - the weather was not damp. “Hungry Heart,” on the radio…played. It was a Toyota Celica & that memory stayed. I bought “Born In The U.S.A.” - used to listen to it before work. Plopping in the cassette was always a definite perk! In my sophomore year of college, my roommate loved The Boss. I listened to a lot of Bruce though my G.P.A. took a loss. The Nebraska Album - “Atlantic City,” at the time, was #1. We faced many challenges, but Bruce brightened our sun. My Next roommate was also a Springsteen fan. The River Album played - many a popped beer in hand. One Summer, we were at a friend’s everyone from the herd. “Thunder Road” came on the radio everyone sang every word. “Roselita” is another favorite in my over-flowing cup. It was always there when I needed a pick-me-up. We were on the bridge in Atlantic City windows down…having fun. On the radio, “Born to Run.” Decades later… a friend gave me two books to read. Both about Bruce & I followed his lead. I am half- way through the first one now. I had no idea of his hardships - sometimes I shake my head, “Wow!” Bruce could’ve given up - at any time he could have quit. A life without his music - just think about that for a bit. He inspired me to continue my quest. Giving up on a dream is far from the best. Clarence Clemons - “The Big Man”... Bruce’s partner in crime. Each night on stage they cre8ed new rhyme. I awoke one morning his sax playing in my soul. R.I.P. Good Sir - your passing still takes a toll. “Jungle Land” is my all-time fave. In difficult times it helps me be brave. Thank you, Bruce, for keeping me above zero. To me, you are The Greatest American Hero.
At 72 years of age I, also, have faith in the younger generation and have for a long time. They are our only hope for the future of our democracy and way of life.
I keep my hope up by attending law school. I have three young adult kids that cannot grow up in the world as it currently is. After the ex-president was elected, I applied to law school. I was a nurse and transitioned to the law. I turn 47 on Thursday and will graduate from law school in May. When things looked bleak, someone told me to find the thing I'm good at and do it to my best ability to help make change in the world. I was good at school, so I picked the law. Everyone is good at something, whether it's helping to build community outreach or helping their neighbor with yard work. Things can get better if we start helping each other to make things better.

72 years old? No way!! Bruce, your beyond cool, zen-like voice is one of a kind.....singing and otherwise. I'm so thankful you're being an advocate for our democracy. I'm disgusted with what I'm seeing in the country music industry, and the amount of them being Trumpsters (like Luke Bryan, who recently riled up his fans with a "F**k Joe Biden!" rant, during his current tour.) Trace Adkins, Larry Gatlin, John Rich, Charlie Daniels, and Kid Rock also openly support Trump. Rock has openly used his concerts to do the same, spewing his complete hatred for anyone living in blue states, all country singers who do not support Trump, and promoting his love and adoration for white supremacist groups like the KKK and Neo Nazis. While there are many country singers who do not, I am appalled by those who do, and use their stage performance as a way to rile up their fans with rants of racism, hatred, and violence. Bryan and Kid Rock are such a total disgrace, and think they have every right to use their celebrity status while performing on stage, to entice their fans into spreading sheer hatred, racism, anti democracy and violence... just like Trump.

Interesting, most people don't understand the market moves and tend to be mislead in facts like this and always depend on Money in the Bank very bad idea
The rich sees an economic crisis as a garage sale also the rich stays rich by investing and diversifying their portfolio with stocks, Crypto currency and Forex trading which is the wisest thing every individual needs to do and it's real profiting.
I wanted to invest more in crypto, but the fluctuations in crypto value discouraged me into dumping.
When you're in the room with a legend...
When did Bruce start looking like Stan Laurel? Just put the bowler hat on him..lol. love this guy.
I really hope they do another podcast.
I loved it so much.
Bruce, you’re a fantastic live performer too 😀. Fun fact, my 1st concert….Born in the USA tour!!!
As someone else put, Bruce is the artist of my lifetime……simple 💙
I don’t appreciate your reply - I am in UK, I have completely differing views to you ……and I’m double jabbed
“A fighting optimist”....YES!!!!
Such a wise and wonderful human being. Pretty good musician, singer-songwriter too!
I wish that Barack Obama was still our President!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
He is
Hahaha hahaha
You must be Al Kaida !
I support him too he is a hero 🇺🇸
Ga, is you crazy?
Bruce Springsteen. A nice down to earth man besides being such a iconic artist that he has been. Modesty is a rare commodity these days. Impressive personality.
These 2 men are national treasures. I have loved The Boss for many years, and my husband is Italian from The Jerz. : )
Something terrible has happened to Bruce, he's been taken over by Obama the criminal. The sight of Springsteen lending his cred to Obama is just too much to take - YOUR supporters Bruce are no where near as RACIST (as Obama says) than Obama is. He is the real Racist and Black Supremacist. WAKE UP BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN.
@@sabejreid2072 Gross. Everything you said is just gross. "People" like you who refuse to acknowledge your own racism, violence, cruelty, entitlement, false and unwarranted superiority make me sick. The "good old days" when everyone knew their place and kept it so tyrants could do whatever they wanted whenever they wanted were not "the good old days" unless you were one of the tyrants. Bruce Springsteen is a class act. I am "sure" you know better than him about "the truth" or whatever. Read a book. Duh.
Love The Boss and President Obama and Steven Colbert
@Bruce Springsteen hahaha
An American Legend! ♥️
Go Bruce go
I wonder if Stephen told John Stewart that Bruce Springsteen was going to be in the building.
I wonder if we’ll see Barack at the back bar in the Pony one of these days. Hope so!
Successful people don't become victorious overnight. What most people see as a glance wealth, a great career purpose is the results of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone reading this will be successful in life..
Lots of people have become successful through the crypto market.
@Mary Anna NEVER LOSS?... I sincerely doubt when I see such things like 100% WIN strategy, Crypto trading is very technical, involves carefulness and great IQ... I wonder doing that with no losses or I will say only a professional trader/broker can do that..
I do all my investments with Chris Sain trading service, his services are top grade..
You can check him out on RUclips.
I have been trading offshore, and I haven't been able to earn my first $5000. What strategy does he use and how can I reach him?
Bless his bones. Some around the same age can see the arthritis. Keep on, keeping on, Bruce.
Very well said !

Thanks Jack :)
@@equalityforall8418 No, thank you my brother. I could not agree more with every word you wrote. People, like yourself, have to keep promoting truth and give a shout out to the generation above us (Bruce) that are still fighting the good fight. Btw, I was offered tickets to see Bruce when I was 17 if I'd drive the 3 hours. He absolutely turned me into a fan that night. He was connected to the audience. There was a mutual exchange of energy. He was a poet,
a tune smith, a showman and a good dude all at the same time.
Still a class act.
Much respect!
@@jackdripper3392
Not a male...lol...but thank you:)
Bruce is very much a class act, and he's such an advocate for protecting democracy. So much talent....has such respect for his fans and this country....he's one in a million. Stay safe my friend!!
@@equalityforall8418 funny, don't know why I assumed you were a dude....
Anyway, sending good vibes to you sister! The Universe has sent you many blessings.
Of course he is Mr Boss. I love Bruce Springsteen.
Yes he is Mr Boss and and yeah Freehold!!!
Watch the movie Springsteen and me. Great show.
Bruce Springsteen is a national treasure❤
Fight the good fight , keep democracy alive, working towards a better tomorrow🌏👣✌️🎶❤️🌱
A real PATRIOT!
@Steve Freeman TRUMP=Treasonous Republicans Under Master Putin.
"Ex Fearless Leader"...yay.....Rocky and Bullwinkle!
Thank you Bruce ,especially for your comments about Green ,Geots or however you spell, it Desantis and the former racist in chief ,and we all know who I mean .
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce :)
My love and respect for this man just grew exponentially. the most intelligent are always the most humble. Thanks Boss:)
I remember the No Nukes concert documentary when Bonnie Raitt thought the crowd was booing but were really screaming, “BRUCE!”.
I love Bruce and Bonnie.
"Just a high school graduate who plays the guitar." Exactly how I remember him when he played The Garage on LBI.
He looks great!
Love him!
He is SO RIGHT!! The younger generation will take our Country back!
It's adorable how shy and uncomfortable he looks
Mr. Boss, I love it!! Hey we have to be optimistic with him, he's walked into a '10th Avenue Freeze Out' [with *so* many of us behind him], and look at that glorious outcome!! Listen to 'High Hopes' by him, I defy you not to cry and then form an optimistic outlook yourself....
Really enjoyed this.
He should be very humbled by that applause. I love him………and his wife Patty, who STILL I has the best album I ever had.
I loved Stephen saying we have a moral commandment to hope: "I say to you do not worry..."matthew 6:25
Finally, that’s how a legit rockstar walks onstage...nonchalantly and with nothing to prove
I like Stephen, enough said.
Just realized he's the long lost brother of Michael 'Yondu' Rooker 😁
I was thinking that he was looking a little like DeNiro.
Bruce Springsteen got lyrics for 37 songs from me. Our standing agreement in Bruce's words-" I will take the songs and I will pay you if I use them depending on how good they are." The songs I wrote turned out to be your hits Bruce.
Please keep your word and pay me.
Not you again. Do you search out every video featuring Bruce to say this
"Wrong Number," Jon, that's a song.
There is the reason he is called The Boss.
He's such a talented, deep- thinking artist... and still hot af! Time has been kind to the Boss.🎵🔥
Stephen: how does one remain optimistic?
The Boss: Have a kid
73 and he looks better than most 40 year old men🤣
Everything Springsteen says makes sense.
