Cowboys didn't choke, well didn't just choke, GBs offense was too much. This was one of the few games all season where all of GBs weapons were available. Defend Love and the pass? Fine, Aaron Jones will gash the defense. Defend the run? Fine, Love will carve up the defense. Defend Watson, Reed and Wicks? Fine, then Doubs, Melton and Kraft will overwhelm the defense. Love's been eating up man coverage, so try the zone and blitz? Well Love is really good against zone coverage too and blitzing him is just a terrible idea. The real problem for Dallas though was once in a while Joe Barry can actually scheme up a great defense, especially against Mike McCarthy style offenses. Dallas walked into a perfect storm that nobody else had to deal with all season because of injuries and the inconsistency of Joe Barry.
I thought Jordan Love was lucky… a lot of his throws looked like he has a subpar arm. The Packers’ play calling, and the poorly prepared Dallas defense, made Jordan Love look good. I saw a lot of under thrown passes. He looked like a backup. Depending on who the play next, I would anticipate them getting out in the next round or two.
All season people have been praising Dak Prescott and all season I've been saying Dak would fall flat on his face come playoff time. Better than Brock Purdy? Don't make me laugh.
