    That membrane in your old vacuum is supposed to be removed when used as a pond vac. Have both but I am selling to hoselock one, once used once but cannot get on with it

    I used the Hozelock vac for quite a few years
    Ideal for emptying waste straight into garden flower beds
    Defo about the food
    I feed mine on a quality Japanese food
    I switched temp to something not as good and the waste my fish produced was much greater
    Evolution Aqua are great all round products
    That’s a nice pond 👍👍👍

      @@progressivepondkeeping funny you should say that prior to using this one I used to syphon the bottom with a 2inch pipe and flexi pipe but problem with it it emptied the pond so fast it was like a rush against it but does seem to suck up more then the hozelock but I am a fan of the hozelock like you say it does the job and probably quicker then the chamber ones anyway, might have to join a gym again though it ain’t light is it 😂

    Great video and nice vacuum, might get one myself. Do you know what size the waste hose is? as I would need to extend it as my drain is around 7 metres from one of my ponds.

    • @progressivepondkeeping
      @progressivepondkeeping  4 года назад

      Hello mate the hose size is 25mm. You can get a 10 meter length of 25mm pipe for around £10 that would sort you out.hope this helps 👍

    Hi M8 new member today thanks for the video of the pond vac, need to get one for my pond but probably be next year, as for the Peach and Pineapple food for the fish that’s what I’ve been feeding mine on this season but only today decided to stop using this product I’m finding it makes my pond dirty cloudy and staining the liner so I’m going back to my old fish food I used in the past.

    • @progressivepondkeeping

    Mate your waters looking clear my pond looks like its waiting for you to put the milk in. Are you on hard or soft water up there

    • @progressivepondkeeping
      @progressivepondkeeping  4 года назад +1

      I think it's hard not 100% though tbh the numbers straight from the tap fluctuate.

    • @boxtriker
      @boxtriker 4 года назад +1

      Have a look at your water board online mate that should tell you. it gives you the point then as to what way you want to fight if you are hard water then rain lowers the ph kh so you want a buffer to raze it when it drops. soft water you are always trying to raze it
