People vote for MSPs and MPs. That’s the U.K. system.
As much as it is a bit of an odd situation the wider public never votes in leaders as such. We do not have presidential style democracy.

The irony is that Alex Salmond will be the man who puts the final boot in. His single Alba party MSP will almost certainly have the casting vote. We all know that Yousef will cite racism and Islamaphobia when he gets booted out. I think some SNP ministers will vote against him too.
Alba have 2% in the recent polls-not exactly representative.
