Property values have been detached from fundamentals for a very long time
In 2016 I paid $70k extra to get unobstructed lake view from condo in lakeshore but made sure nothing comes up in front of the building. No land in front but just water so my view is protected forever unless city decides to landfill Lake Ontario which of course won’t happen at least not in my lifetime. But yes very important to make sure there is absolutely no scope for re-zoning when you are paying such high premiums.
The guy never walked the lot beforehand? His mistake....... how does he even know if the lot was staked properly.
Personally, only pay a premium price for a corner unit/lot. At least this will not change.
